1. Refer a Friend link in the ProtonMail app

   Under the "More" section of the Proton Mail app settings, a "Refer a Friend" link should be available for quick access and sharing with others.

   I tried finding this information the other day when someone asked me about Proton Mail, but I was unable to locate it.

2. Allow photo album sharing via link on Proton Drive

   Currently, it's not possible to share a photo album via link, although it is possible with files.
   This is quite disappointing, especially since my main use of the drive is to share photos with my family, and sharing via email is cumbersome and unintuitive for the elderly who will receive the invitation.

3. Bad Plex integration

   Proton Pass isn't triggering properly for the Plex platform. Neither the user ID (email/username), nor password, nor TOTP 2FA codes autopopulate from my Proton Pass Plex login record.

   Hello,

   Lumo is highly regarded for its encryption and user-friendliness. In order to meet the needs of teams, I propose the creation of a Lumo Business subscription including:

   1. Centralized user account management
   2. Multiple licenses with volume discounts
   3. Shared workspaces for team conversations
   4. Priority support dedicated to organizations

6. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for Drive, Pass, and wherever applicable

   RBAC would be useful for personal accounts (i.e. families) but particularly for businesses in which role assignments are standard management and security practice. I'm not sure what the most user-friendly way is to handle the CRUDing of roles or similar operations, however, I think it should be possible to smoothly integrate this in the current experience.

8. Support Google Takeout for data imports (add to Easy Switch)

   TL;DR: Easy Switch can auto-forward emails, then move your contacts and calendar. But what about:
   Google Drive files, Google Photos, Google Password Manager, Google Finance, Gemini?
   We should be able to move those data into Proton services Proton Drive, Proton Pass, Proton Wallet and Lumo quite easily with Google Takeout.
   And what about autoforwarding from Outlook and Apple or sign in with Apple?
   But we can’t.

   Dear Proton Community and Development Team,

   We propose an enhancement to Proton’s “Easy Switch” technology to maximize user acquisition, engagement, and a more comprehensive way to move data to a more private service, while still maintaining Proton's commitment to privacy and sustainable growth. The current “Easy Switch” model can only transfer emails, contacts and calendars. While understandable for resource management, this can hinder broad adoption and prevent users from fully experiencing the potential of Proton.

   Our proposal is as follows:
   1. Google Takeout Import:
   * Google Takeout has the capability to export logs from 67 Google services including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Password Manager, Google Wallet, and Gemini. These services are currently matched by Proton Drive, Proton Pass, Proton Wallet and Lumo. This would enhance the already stated email, contact and calendar import by being able to drag in one .zip file and have all of your data imported.
   2. External service easier exports
   * Sign in with Apple would provide a smoother experience to get data.If this is not possible due to the Apple walled garden, at least provide clearer instructions (e.g. go to icloud.com/mail and enable forwarding)
   * Forwarding support from Outlook and Apple Mail.

   ---

   • This would increase user adoption so that rather than following tedious steps like “open Google Calendar, select all one by one calendars, export as vCard and then upload it into Proton Calendar, repeat for other Proton services” users can just open takeout.google.com, select all Google services matched by Proton and then import as one giant .zip file.
   • We believe that this will enhance the potential of Easy Switch and encourage more people to switch to Proton therefore increasing uptake and market stream of privacy focused services.

9. Android Proton Apps in single, verifiable, supported Repository

   Currently Proton makes all of its APKs available via protonapps.com; however it does not make the primary pages for the APKs easy to access or obvious. Additionally, Proton has been previously committed to following a more open-source modelling, publishing to Github. However consistency across Proton Apps is quite poor, and trying to access APKs via this method easily (in essence, as per an RSS feed) is not ideal.

   I note that Proton partially supports alternative with VPN and Pass both on F-Droid. Whilst the GrapheneOS community often has issues with this, it is ultimately up to the user.

   I would recommend that Proton however commits entirely to at least 1 complete solution to allow reliable and clear alternaive access to APKs outside fo the Google Play environment for its entire app suite.

   1. Accrescent Store
   2. F-Droid Store
   3. Github
   4. protonapps.com

   Any of these would be fine, but it requires fully published and current APK files and the proper support to enable easy tracking and validation

   My personal preference is Accrescent as a more rigorous privacy-centric "storefront", it would seem the missions of Proton overlap with projects like Graphene and Accrescent - and the benefit of the latter is that it would not lock people into Graphene either by default.

13. Provide public bug trackers for all projects.

    You already provide a public feature request tracker, with UserVoice. For some repositories on GitHub, you leave issues enabled, which allows users to publicly report bugs (where they aren't restricted to function as discussions). Extend that capability to all repositories, so that users with diagnostic knowledge can report bugs that aren't necessarily able to submit PRs for (often due to outdated code).

14. New Proton Shop Merch

    Would love to support Proton and their mission more through the merch store (already have a paid plan so supporting that way as well). But it seems that the products that are out there are slowly selling out and nothing new is being added. I would love for more t-shirts, shirts, and hooded sweatshirts; stickers, cups/mugs, etc. I have been able to purchase a couple of things, but have been limited by the lack of restock - especially in plus sizes. Please consider adding more to the store and re-stocking what is out there.

18. to be able to download the archive folder files onto external storage or a desktop folder

    I would like to be able to download the entire contents of a location eg "Archive" onto a desktop folder on my computer, that way I can put it on external drive and free up space and crowding in my email account

    It would be awesome to be able to not use google backup, to backup an android device. Proton backup could replace it, and it would be one step further to not rely on google having our android data to scan/etc...
