  2. Stability enhancements for Proton Drive transfers

Proton Drive sometimes encounters a high transfer error rate. This can happen in disconnected, interrupted, and low bandwidth environments, even for files < 30 MB.

When this happens, Proton Drive shows a long list of transfer errors. Proton Drive automatically retries the files, but because it tries to transfer too many things at once, then the transfers can continue to fail again and again.

Keeping the host awake overnight doesn't help. Pausing and resuming sync doesn't help. Quitting Proton Drive and relaunching doesn't help.

Here are some suggestions to help Proton Drive conduct file transfers of all sizes, more reliably,…

  3. Publish apps for Proton Wallet

    Hi,

Proton Wallet looks interesting. I'd be more likely to use this cryptocurrency product if it expanded platform support beyond the website, to include desktop and mobile apps on the relevant app stores for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, iPadOS, and Android.

For comparison, other cryptocurrency services already support these platforms with native applications.

  4. Get Proton back on the Minds Network

I would love to keep up with the same updates that Proton posts on X over on Minds. They already have an account, but if they were to set up accounts for each of their products like they have on X, Minds has a feature where you can set it up to auto post straight from X. Zero effort.

  5. Proton Drive: Option to cap total transfer speed

Proton Drive would integrate better with other desktop networking applications, if it provides an optional limit to the total transfer speed.

For example, browser downloads can stall out while Proton Drive soaks up too much bandwidth. Let's make Proton Drive run more reliably in the background with an optional cap.

Propose an optional, open ended cap, that the user can adjust in terms of MB/sec.

  6. Proton Calendar Description - display the HTML correctly on iPhone

Hi! I have enjoyed using my calendar across desktop and mobile.

I have noticed that my calendar HTML description does not display correctly on my iPhone (leading to some difficulties finding details). I resolved to correct it when I was at my desktop and I realize that the HTML seems to display fine on the desktop.

It will be helpful to me when the mobile app (specifically for iphone) can do so as well.
    thank you!

Wouldn't it be nice an antivirus proton service? I mean it's very useful.
Maybe a bit too much sofisticated? Dunno.

  8. What industries benefit most from using a Staff Outsourcing company in the UAE?

A Staff Outsourcing company in the UAE serves a variety of industries, but certain sectors benefit more from this flexible staffing solution. The construction industry, for example, often relies on outsourced labor for short-term or project-based roles.

Similarly, the hospitality sector frequently turns to outsourcing to meet fluctuating demands during peak seasons. IT and technology companies in the UAE also benefit from using a Staff Outsourcing company in the UAE when they need skilled professionals for short-term projects or to fill specialized roles. Healthcare, logistics, and retail are other sectors that regularly seek staff outsourcing solutions.

    By engaging a Staff…

  9. Document Signing System integrated with our account RSA Keys

A Document Signing System will be great for contracts between business, also integrating it with proton RSA Keys.

But for this we should take in count that the RSA Keys will grant enough data to make this kind of signing legally acceptable.

Probably for that an easy way could be a secondary RSA key pair generation specifically for this purpose in order to not affect access to mails or passwords due to RSA keys changing overall in the account.

We could also have an integration to use our phisical identification document rsa keys or even being able to import it…

  10. Proton Mail: More options for image tracker exclusion persistence

Every time I open an email with tracker warnings for images, I have to manually re-allow the images.

Please provide an option to remember the setting (per sender domain).

More advanced options like remembering tracker exclusions per URL domain would also be helpful.

  11. Shamir secret sharing

How about Shamir Secret Sharing for the account recovery key (and/or the main password)?

Thus I won't have to choose between storing the key in one place with higher risk of loosing it and storying multiple copies with higher risk of having it stolen.

Posted a twit about it as well a while ago: https://x.com/jalooc/status/1816154249551831379

  12. A single login address

I suggest that if we have multiple addresses/aliases on our account, we should be able to choose which ones we can log in with. That would greatly improve our security and privacy. This is possible on other sites like Outlook, where you can have multiple aliases but choose only one to log in with.

Then we could have one address/alias only for login and it would never be shared with anyone or any website.

Or again, if we have aliases to register on sites that are not trusted, they could never use that address to try to log in to…

  13. Proton playing a service provider role in the IDAS 2.0 EU framework?

Dear proton, members, not sure whether this idea has been posted/thought about before: The European EIDAS 2.0 regulation has been approved in April 2024, and member states now have started the IT design and implementation. EIDAS 2.0 withe EUID wallet concept means opportunities but also privacy concerns with respect to saving electronic identities, certification, health information etc (e.q. everything one can store in de EUID wallet and exchange with other parties). I'd like (love) to see organisations such as Proton play a vital provider role with the EIDAS 2.0 frame work - such as the Wallet Provider role and the…

  14. Proton Pass: Option to force use of email address or username

Proton Pass often presents the wrong information when populating authentication forms.

One workaround involves removing the email address formally associated with the account. Then Proton Pass correctly supplies the authentication form with the username rather than the email address.

However, removing the formal email address value from the Proton Pass login record makes it harder to track and organize my accounts.

When both an email address and a username are supplied on a Proton Pass login record, please provide an option to deem one or the other as the default authentication identifier.

  15. Proton Pass: Poor UX with password confirmation fields

When a website requests confirmation of the account's current password, then Proton Pass very often fails to populate the field with the current password. Instead, Proton Pass always attempts to generate a new password.

Please present an option to populate with the current password, before assuming that I want to generate passwords.

The current UX is risky. Password confirmation tends to coincide specifically with account actions involving changing account email addresses, changing account passwords, chancing account usernames, and/or changing 2FA options. It's easy to accidentally submit a generated password for fields that really need the old password.

    This can lock…

  16. Error too many aliases created recently

    Hi,

I am a Proton Unlimited subscriber.

I am trying to go through all my Internet accounts and assign a unique email address alias to each one.

However, after creating only a handful of aliases, Proton complains of too many aliases.

As a paying customer, I find this minuscule rate limit unproductive.

  17. Offer/integrate Support for "UnifiedPush" Push Notifications on Android Systems

Looking to have support for UnifiedPush notifications, or similar ability to receive push notifications on Proton android apps.

This would vastly improve connectivity for users who opt not to use Google Services on their device, which is a growing number.

Similar projects like The Signal Foundation allow to push notifications/check servers at the cost of battery, which would be fine in this context as well.

Thank you for all you do

  18. Curated unitary suggestions list

Since there are a lot of suggestions which are non unitary leading to duplicates and overlaps, it would be useful to get a true vision of the priorities if Proton Admins could create a curated list for people to vote on.

  19. Splitting sent emails.

I want to send the same email to multiple people but I want them to be sent separately. I don't want them to BCC. I just want everyone to get the same email but not see who else it was sent to.

  20. Honeypot password

Introduce the option for users to set a ‘honeypot’ password. In situations where they are under physical threat, users could provide this password, giving the appearance of accessing the real account. However, this would trigger a hidden operation, such as displaying a fake inbox, sending an alert to a third party for immediate assistance, or even initiating a complete system lockdown.
