  2. IMAP Label Support in Proton Mail Bridge (X‑GM‑EXT‑1 or equivalent)

    Hello Proton Mail Bridge Team,

I would like to request support for applying Proton Mail labels via IMAP.

Currently, the Bridge exposes labels as IMAP folders (e.g., Labels/Paperless), but it does not support any IMAP mechanism for applying a label to a message.

    This creates a limitation:
    - When a user labels an email in Proton Mail, the Bridge shows it in both INBOX and the label folder (virtual projection).
    - When an IMAP client moves a message into Labels/<Label>, the message is removed from INBOX instead of receiving the label.
    - There is no IMAP command available to apply…

  3. This is in regards to the iPhone App. Default location is now the inbox vs last used location.

At some point, the phone app changed, when you open the App, it now defaults to the Inbox. I use filters heavily, and don't operate out of the Inbox at all. The app use to default to the last used location, it would be nice if that could either be default, or an option. Thanks

  4. Action Needed: Strengthening Technical and Legal Resilience in Europe

Please take seriously the escalating legal and technical pressures coming from major European sports‑broadcasting interests. You may soon face domain and IP‑level blocking in Spain, and it would be wise to prepare both technically and legally to protect your mission and your users. These organizations have substantial financial resources, strong relationships with large ISPs that distribute their content, and a history of securing favorable judicial decisions. Their actions should not be underestimated.

  5. Highlighting and formatting feature in emails

    Hello,

Been using Protonmail for a few good years. I am enjoy it. However, I had this idea (and i did the search and did not see pop up) of having a feature in the email of where you can highlight certain parts of paragraph in the email to make it stick out before you send it to someone, or keep it for yourself. Sometime i miss a date, or statement that was made in a email or vise versa. And I think if highlighting so I can see it and they can see it when it is sent to…

  6. Proton Spaces - an alternative to Teams/Slack/Discord/Telegram etc.

Currently, many companies and authorities in Europe are searching for realistic alternatives to Big Tech, and one area lacking a truly viable option is the space occupied by Microsoft Teams and Slack. We are also seeing increased skepticism toward Discord following the introduction of age verification. Furthermore, all these services are unencrypted and closed-source.

I believe there could be an opening here for Proton to step in and offer a privacy-friendly alternative and building a service similar to Teams/Slack/Discord that caters to both businesses and individuals. This would make Proton’s business suite more attractive and provide a natural integration with…

it would help if the window that opens when one wants to reply to an email was not covering the email thread and the given email that one tries to reply to.

  8. More domain names and apps for docs and sheets

Will you ever expand to other domain names (e.g. proton.be specifically) because the email I want is not available for either proton.me or protonmail.com.

Also having desktop apps for docs and sheets would be great, i like editing on desktop apps rather than my browser.

  9. Shared Calendar - Each person has a color assigned to the addition they shared

Shared Calendar - Each person has a color assigned to the addition they add to the shared calander. We have 3 members that share right now but it does not denote who made the event. For example: AJ's events show up as Orange. Mine Fai- would show up as Blue and AG is Green.

  10. make the delete key delete things

this is something that will totally change the email experience of all users globally.
if we could make the delete key delete emails we'd save so much confusion.
let's get this working before someone else claims this idea as theirs

  11. Zapier integration for Mail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, and Docs

I’ve been using Proton for a while now because I really care about privacy, but it’s frustrating that there’s no direct Zapier integration for Mail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, or Docs. Adding native support would let me set up simple automated workflows without having to do everything manually or use workarounds that feel clunky. It’d make Proton way more useful for daily productivity while still keeping everything secure.

  12. pravacy

    Hello Proton Team,
Please consider improving the privacy and security control settings related to account login so that users can access their accounts more easily when needed. While we understand the importance of strong security measures, logging into Proton apps can sometimes be very difficult, especially in regions with slow internet connections or where your website is restricted. It would be very helpful if users could have more flexible control options to adjust security settings according to their needs. Thank you for your time and consideration.
    Best regards

  13. Move Standard Notes fully to European infrastructure.

As far as I could read: Standard Notes still uses an AWS-based firewall for web services, with IP addresses temporarily stored by AWS Standard Notes. The public servers are still in the US Standard Notes — their own help page still says so.

Would be great to move Standard Notes fully to Europe!

  14. Add a Proton Domains (Registrar): Buy domains directly inside Proton

Proton should introduce its own domain registration service integrated directly into the Proton ecosystem.

Currently, users who want to use a custom domain with Proton Mail must purchase a domain from a third-party registrar and manually configure DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC). While this works, it adds friction. Especially for non-technical users.

An integrated domain registrar would significantly simplify onboarding by allowing users to purchase a domain and have it automatically configured for Proton Mail. This would reduce setup errors, improve security, and make the experience much more accessible.

Additionally, it would make it much easier to use custom…

  15. Application Logging

Make application logging in all applications an option to enable or disable. Always having the application generating logs not only makes the application somewhat insecure, but it also generates a lot of application bloat and overhead. This would allow the applications to aways run a peak performance and not slow the applications down at launch or other areas of the application.

I especially see this being beneficial in the VPN app, over time the application become slow and somewhat unresponsive. Uninstalling the app, inproves the startup perfromance and over all performance of the application.

If a support case is needed,…

  16. Allow SMS Backup & Restore app to back up to Proton Drive

A lot of people in the GrapheneOS community use an app called SMS Backup & Restore. It allows backups to automatically sync to Google Drive. When I asked the app team if they would support backing up to Proton Drive, they said they would love to but the Proton team has to allow it first. I'm unsure of the technical details, but is there any way this could happen?

  17. Watermarks for documents and photos

    Hello everyone,

Would it be possible to add a function to Proton Pass, Drive, or even to create an application that would allow adding watermarks to documents, photos, and videos (similar to what the Watermarkly app does on iPhone)?

This would be fantastic for protecting shared documents, especially these days.

Thank you, and I hope to see this option available one day.

Thank you and have a good day.

  18. Select multiple images and export/share

Sometimes you want to do the same action with not just one image but maybe 10, or 20 etc. For example, maybe I want to export them to another app, or send them to a friend etc. However, in the Proton Drive app on iOS, as soon as you select more than one image the only option you have is to add them to a library. All other sharing-features are removed. This is such a road block when you want to access your images and perform a task. For example, the other day I wanted to export images from Proton…

  19. Pop3 mail fetching via Proton's web interface

I would really like the ability to pop3 fetching email from other mailservers via Proton's web interface... that way I could use Proton as my primary mail service... trying to opt out of Gmail.

  20. Proton's Sustainability

It would be nice if Proton had some transparency about their sustainability commitments. To be able to see if they use renewable energy and/or other sustainable practices, Is what I believe would be a great selling point for potential users.
