preload or preload on startup or a toggle
When launching proton apps. Allow parts of the app to be preloaded, or if the app is set to be launched when the app starts on pc startup. It would depend on how much ram is available. This would improve the speed and or the responsiveness of the app. A toggle could be added.

Mass unsharing in Proton Drive
For the folks that share a lot of drives, it can be quite a hassle selecting each individual item in the share tab to stop sharing. It would be cool if we could select all of them and unshare with one click.

Utilize the Privacy Pass protocol

Privacy Pass is a protocol that allows people to cryptographically prove they have access to a service without revealing who they are. I think Proton could be able to use this in really cool ways, for example to prevent Proton from correlating Proton VPN activity to users, or to use SimpleLogin aliases without Proton being able to correlate the alias from the original email.10 votes -
Android Device encryption and protection
I think it would be a game changer if proton would get in more involved with Android devices. Android is after all as they claim allegedly open source.. but Google it is let me have all your data and we will do this for you?? The biggest thing Google claims to be able to encrypt your entire device from your Google account in their password manager section of security. Why not be able to encrypt it by the best proton?? Full device encryption???? More integration into the Android ecosystem. or even something similar to Graphene OS?? If proton were ever…

OAutth and other standards service, like Auth0
Proton could create a new product, standalone OAuth + other Authentication and Authorization standards, pretty much like Auth0. This will be a new revenue stream for Proton and I'd argue that a big chunk of it is already in place (or so I hope). This will enable using "Login with Proton" and provide web and app developers with a trustworthy partner to manage Accounting Authentication and Authorization for their apps.
To simplify launch of the service, first version could be for existing paying users to use.6 votes -
Turn Standard Notes into Proton Notes
Standard Notes has an outdated UI. Also, if people look for a privacy friendly notes service they will find many different options which they have most likely never heard of. If you now turn Standard Notes into Proton Notes (or create a separate app that syncs with Standard Notes), the people won't just find unknown notes services, they will find Proton Notes, who they've most likely heard of already if they're into privacy.
So, it doesn't just improve the UI, but it also helps strengthen the brand identity (and find more possible paying customers)

Need an encrypted translator
RE: Need an encrypted translator
We need Proton Translate, like DeepL or Google Translate – as stand-alone app or built in to Proton Docs and Proton Mail.
Are there other encrypted translators already available elsewhere?

Always show all mailboxes on the left navigation panel (don't like the “more” and “less” feature that hides other important mailboxes)
Please always show all mailboxes on the left navigation panel (don't like the “more” and “less” feature that hides other important mailboxes).
Or, that would be nice if it becomes an relevant option of user's choice in the Settings.
It is because sometimes some legit emails would be put in the Spam mailbox. If the left navigation panel was by default hiding these mailboxes until user manually clicking the “more” thing to reveal the Spam mailbox, user might have not paid attention to those emails and missed something.

Hide photo's already in albums
When you have put photo's in albums, I'd like to hide them from my main photo view so I know which photo's I still need to organize.
With google you could archive your photo's, that worked because they would still be in albums, but not visible in the main photo's view.
I would like something similar, I think having a button that hides photo's that have already been organized, or some kind of organize view with more options like this would be really helpful.

SimpleLogin alias whitelist
Hi,
I really appreciate the ability to mute or block individual senders for a given alias in SimpleLogin, it's incredibly useful. I’d love to see a complementary feature: the ability to whitelist specific senders instead.
Specifically, it would be great to have a "whitelist mode" toggle for aliases, where all incoming messages are muted or blocked by default, and only explicitly whitelisted addresses are allowed through, mirroring the current muting functionality, but in reverse.
By the way, I think SimpleLogin is absolutely fantastic. It has completely transformed how I manage my digital life across email, newsletters, apps, and beyond. Huge…
