  1. Proton Pass generating junk?

I have a large number of junk records in Proton Pass involving generated passwords. No URL or username present.

Based on the creation timestamp, these were either created during LastPass export to Proton, or created during the first few days of use in Proton mobile. Can't tell.

If these were created by Proton then it would be helpful to clean them up automatically.

  2. Proton Pass: Search by records with no URL

I have leftover records I wish to cleanup. The records have no URLs. Please extend the search form to match results that specifically have no URL.

  3. Proton Pass: Include formerly reused passwords

When resolving accounts with reused passwords, the very last record no longer appears in this list. However, there is still a risk of latent, unreported leaks. In the interest of consistency, I want to ensure that I change that last account's password as well.

For this reason, I want accounts with formerly reused passwords to continue to appear in the list.

As a workaround, I have to remember to open the last two records in a reused password list simultaneously, so that I don't forget. This is an error prone workflow.

  4. Private Secure Podcast Hosting by Proton using FOSS Castopod

I realize that someone could self-host their podcast (using free hosting software from Castopod) and distribute their podcast that way, but most Netizens are not going to go that route. I propose a podcast hosting solution that is based in a more privacy-friendly country like Switzerland.

If Proton hosted Castopod software on their Swiss-based servers, that would create a private, podcast hosting option that could also be spun-up quite easily. Proton could also limit its support to the most basic set-up issues, with users accepting terms upfront that only initial configuration support will be provided by Proton while also clarifying…

  5. Complete "ProtonSuite" integrated into Evolution on Linux via an "Über-Bridge"

The dream, of course (for us Linuxers), is to be able to use Evolution on Linux with PMail for email, PCal for Calendar, PContacts for Contacts, and whatever Standard Notes ends up becoming being integrated into Memos in Evolution. Should there ever be a PTasks developed, this would also be integrated into a complete suite: ProtonSuite which would integrate via a kind of all-in-one Über-Bridge into Evolution on Linux (as a first approximation; other clients could follow later. Might as well go with the standard groupware client to start with).

I've already voted for a native Linux PDrive client.

  6. Inconsistent ordering for reused password list

    Hi,

I'm struggling to manage old account records, because the reused password list in Proton Pass keeps fluctuating. Please apply a consistent ordering.

  8. Proton Pass: Detect when clearnet websites have shutdown

I would like Proton Pass to indicate when my clearnet account domains have failed to resolve for 6+ months. That way, I have automation to help cleanup old accounts for dead websites.

  9. Proton Pass disables basic autofill option

On some websites, Proton Pass fails to present the basic credentials autofill UI. Instead, Proton Pass shows only the password generator UI.

Please enable autofill UI for existing passwords, on all textfields that the generator UI supports.

For example, this problem happens when managing common GNU mailing list accounts that use the mailman Web UI.

  10. Inconsistent reused password data

Proton Pass is often inconsistent about the number of times a password is reused, as well as inconsistent about the names of the accounts that reuse the password, depending on different DIV's in the Proton Pass Web UI.

  11. Proton Pass: Ability to select multiple accounts when updating passwords

Like LastPass, I want to be able to select multiple accounts to apply the new password to. Currently, I often have to manually revisit other Proton Pass records to apply new passwords. Which is accident prone.

  12. Proton Mail: Don't reset Show setting when selecting the Inbox link

    Hi,

I always prefer to view just my unread messages. But when I select the Inbox link in the Web UI, then it forgets my preference.

Please don't reset my preferred view settings when I navigate to the inbox.

  14. Corrupt account states when changing passwords

Proton Pass often ends up locking out some accounts.

When the user follows the Proton Pass generator UI, then Proton Pass is sometimes overly broad in which text fields it populates with the new password. The end result is a corrupted state, in which Proton Pass loses the previous password, but the account has not actually registered the new password.

This happens, for example, for forms that don't follow 100% of the most modern HTML5 designs. Usually, password reset forms provide three fields: One for the old password and two to confirm the new password. But legacy forms sometimes provide…

  16. Password generator UI sometimes missing

When Proton Pass does not detect a password field on the current page, then it is difficult to generate a password.

The Web is fundamentally imperfect; We cannot expect password managers to detect 100% of password fields, especially when various websites write bad HTML code.

However, Proton Pass can do more to ensure that the password generation UI is always available. Other password managers like LastPass provide generation options in:

    • The browser plugin menu
    • The browser context menu

Let's add triggers in both places to raise the Proton Pass generator UI, so that users have more reliable ways to explicitly…

  17. Cencorship Circumvention Tools like Snowflake which actually work in highly cencored Countries like Russia, Iran and China

Proton has similar to Signal an build in Cencorship Circumvention Tool. But this doesn't work if you live in Countries which don't just block your website on a dns level but use more advanced forms of blocking.
Stealth is a good start, but to really make a difference in these cencored countries more advanced circumvention methods have to be implemented.

    Tor uses Brides.
Snowflake is a huge success and works since years in China, Russia and Iran without problems.
Proton should like Tor have Bridges like Snowflake, but for Protons case only allow to visit the domains of the proton…

I am one of those guys that really like to only have the sender details in my inbox mails without the subject.
That mean, ultra compact display in protonmail, only 1 line is used to display each mails.
This is a "feature" in Outlook.

  19. Proton Mail Plus with Pass Plus

I am a Proton Mail user paying $3.49 a month, and I would be more than happy to pay an additional $1.99 per month to add Proton Pass Plus, totalling $5.48

Proton Drive is of no use to me (I am a Linux user and there is no native client), and I also have no interest in using the VPN

Granted $5.48 a month vs $7.99 a month isn't that big of a difference, but because I'm currently on a 24 month plan that's $109.73 I would have to pay upfront for features I have no interest in using. I'd…
