1. Give user overview/list of their personal data known to Proton

   It can improve users confidence/trust and Proton transparency, once Proton gives users in their account an overview page which would be showing all user's non encrypted sensitive data that the Proton is aware about and can share with Swiss authorities.

   It is quite complicated to figure out what Proton knows about me and makes user not confident about using Proton.

   On that page, user would see for example:

   Recovery email: a@b.c [change/remove]
   Recovery phone: +123456 [change/remove]
   IP used in Simplelogin/VPN/ZenDesk/contact forms (if is collected): 1.2.3.4
   Financial information used to pay for the service with gateway XY: abcdefg [request delete, delay X months/delete in progress]

3. What is the correct sequence to log into the Proton apps?

   I use Proton Mail, Pass, Cloud and VPN. My login requriements are slightly different depending on which Proton app I chose to log in first. Is there a recomment sequence for opening your Proton account?

   What I find

   Method A
   1. Select Proton VPN from Taskbar than Quick Connect
   2. Select Proton Pass and it opens without entering a passphrase.
   3. Select Proton Mail from Proton Pass, site opens, credentials automatically loaded.
   4. Select Proton Mail from the list of available Proton apps, mail opens, and Proton clover leaf reveals all Proton apps.

   From here if I choose to open Pass, I am asked for credentials, and they are automatically entered after I confirm the email address.
   Method B
   1. Select Proton Mail from my Taskbar, it opens and the Proton clover leaf displays only the mail apps.
   On the left side of the screen, I can select other Proton apps and find the VPN app is active.
   2. At this point to get to Proton Pass, I must open a browser and enter my credential username and passphrase.
   Method C , My Practice
   1. Open Proton VPN from my task bar and Quick Connect.
   2. Open a browser and select the Proton icon, it opens Proton Pass where I select my Proton Mail App
   3. On the subsequent screen, I selected the Proton Mail app again and now my Proton clover leaf has all the Proton Apps I use.
   From here if I select Proton Pass, I am asked for my credentials – I confirm my mail address, and the passphrase is automatically authenticated.

4. Please provide MSI versions of Installers for Automated Deployments

   The configuration management solution that I have available only supports MSI deployments, but the available Proton installers only come as .exe files.

   Providing a standard MSI packaging format would help me tremendously. I know there is also the MSIX format, but I am not sure how well that would work with the Proton products because they also use sandboxing technology and could be a problem for things like Proton VPN. I am also not sure if I could use MSIX, but will verify that.

   I know that I could wrap the .exe into an MSI file, but not being part of the Proton team makes me think I would create a non-standard solution that could break with any Proton release.

   The configuration management solution that I have available only supports MSI deployments, but the available Proton installers only come as .exe files.

6. Proton Pay linked to digital euro

   I would like to see Proton moving away from crypto, or any other US-controlled banking payment system and work closely with EBC when it comes to introducing digital euro.

   The battle for the global payments system is under way, and I do not want to see unpredicatble US tampering it in any way.

7. Proton, Startpage-like browser extension and anonymous searching

8. Unify/obfuscate account login error message.

   Upon trying to log in to a Proton account, make sure to obfuscate incorrect login information. Currently, trying a correct email address and an incorrect password outputs the following error message.
    
   "The password is not correct. Please try again with a different password."

   But instead it should be, no matter what instances:

   "The and account or password is not correct."

   Helps to obfuscate an existing Proton account holder. Showing either the account or password is not correct if login attemp fails.

   (this was observed in ProtonPass)

9. "UNREAD" button in mail views for web version

   I really like the one push button to view "unread" mails only in the "all mail" view on android. Would be nice if you could also implement that in the web version - in stead of the current drop down menu for that.

    Add a filter action which would allow you to send a UnifiedPush notification when the filter criteria have been met. UnifiedPush is a decentralized push notification system that lets you choose the service you want to use. It’s designed to be privacy-friendly, flexible, and open - see https://unifiedpush.org. I use the NTFY app on my de-Googled GrapheneOS phone for push notifications from most of my apps.

    Being able to write e-mail filter(s) that send me a push notification (without involving Google or Google Play Services) would be very helpful in handling my e-mail inbox. ProtonMail only has Google-based push messages for ALL incoming messages which lacks both privacy and user control.

    Pouvoir séparer, en la faisant glisser, la fenêtre de rédaction du reste de l'application Proton sur un ordinateur de bureau, afin de pouvoir facilement consulter d'autres messages indépendamment du message en train d'être rédigé (cf. Thunderbird par exemple) - pouvoir déplacer le mail en court de rédaction sur un autre écran, en conservant Proton sur le premier écran, serait très profitable

15. I have been a proton mail user for a fair time now and ask you to investigate (and then recommend) Spoutible as a social media platform.

    I am a Spoutible usser as my social media platfrom.
    I found Mastodon's moderation to be idiosynchratic.
    Spoutible is created by a black American, Christopher Bouzy, who also invented BotSentinel (iirc).
    It is a LGBTQ / Black etc friendly site which has very clearly articulated rules and is super prompt in dealing with bots.
    I commend it to you.

    actually you can set and define rules to forward mails to another email by set some conditions. the receiver always must be another email-address.

    in some cases it would be very helpful to forward certain emails to a third party app, f.e. other messengers like whatsapp, threema, telegram, signal, etc.

20. Standard Notes should confirm email change

    The standard practice for changing emails is to send a confirmation link before changing to ensure access and ownership of the new email. Currently, it let's you change it and sends out a notification email to your current (prior to changing) email address that it has already been changed with the new email address in the body.

    The process should be:
    1. Change email in account settings
    2. System sends emails – 1: confirmation link to new address, 2?: current email notifying of change request
    3. Click verification link in email sent to the new email address
    4. System changes email
    5. Confirmation email to new email address. And old address?

    The "?"s in there might be overkill.
