  2. I would love to see a single link to be able to update all the applications that can be used on any of my devices I have the Proton apps on.

I would love to see a single link to be able to update all the applications that can be used on any of my devices I have the Proton apps on.
I have Windows PCs, Linux workstations and multiple cell devices and it just takes a long time to update every app on every platform when a single script could update every platform's applications in a single run.

  3. Allow turning off email event reminders

I have Proton Calendar on my phone, and I get event reminders there via push notification. For me, getting an email reminder in my email is redundant. I get two push notifications on my phone that I have to dismiss, not to mention deleting the completely useless email. If people find this feature useful (though neither Google nor Microsoft do this), great keep it but please let the rest of us turn it off.

  4. Hide previous conversations in a conversation thread with "..." button

When I open a conversation in ProtonMail, I see the entire conversation history. This is very annoying when there is a new email in that thread with an attachment - I always have to scroll through the ENTIRE conversation down to the bottom where the attachments are visible in the UI. Please hide previous conversations by default and make them visible by clicking a "..." button just link in Gmail.

  6. Bad Proton Mail UX

Proton Mail has multiple glitches that significantly reduce the practical utility of this email service.

    • After years, Proton refuses to persist the Unread filter across inbox refreshes, new Web browser tabs, and application relaunches. Gmail does NOT have this unnecessary UX problem. My first experience opening Proton Mail immediately upsets me, every time.
    • Sending emails often takes many, many seconds to complete, compared to other email services. Sending emails with Proton Mail feels sluggish.
    • After several months of using Proton Mail, I discovered that dozens of my emails hadn't actuall been sent, they had all been stuck as drafts. This…

  7. Host Proton Membership Giveaways Events on the Proton Discord Server

Instead of just random giveaways where people click a button and wait, Proton could host fun events on their Discord like message battles, trivia games, or mini competitions. For example, whoever sends the most messages in a set time wins a free Proton membership. These kinds of events boost real engagement & get people talking. It’s more fun, more active, and way better than just relying on luck.

They already have a Discord server & just adding a bot and a channel for events could make a big difference.

  8. Windows: Open ics file should create the event automatically in Proton Calendar

It is not currently possible to set Proton Calendar as default calendar app on Windows.

An easy workaround would be to set Proton as the default app to open .ics file, so that double clicking on a downloaded ics file opens it in Proton Mail/Calendar and adds the event. At the moment the only way is top drag & drop the file on Proton Calendar, which is annoying when done from the web browser.

  10. Proton Boost

Could we have a Proton plan that is in-between Mail Plus and Proton Unlimited? We could call it Proton Boost. It would cost $5.99 (or if needed I suppose $6.99).
    It would include features of:
    + 1 user
    + 1 custom email domain
    + 10 email aliases/addresses
    + 300 GB of storage
+ Feature access to 15 calendars
+ Feature access to 10 high-speed VPN connections
+ Feature access to Proton Drive (300 GB)
    + Proton Sentinel program

Studying as a student, a plan like thus would be helpful to maintain the privacy needed but also help with the affordability!…

  12. Break page in Proton Doc

I'd like to suggest a break page in Proton Doc.
There isn't break page option, I red in some websites that I could do it with ctrl+enter but it doesn't work.

  13. Parallels

I use Windows running in Parallels on MAC and cannot install Proton apps for Windows in the Windows VM. As a consultant, I have several clients who use a variety of OS, so I use a MAC (OS Tahoe 26.0.1) and run Linux, Windows and MAC in Parallels VMs. In Windows is the OS where I am in need of Proton apps including VPN. However, cannot install either the Proton Mail app which gets a failure or the VPN app which will not even start an install process. Your help in adding this to your features would be greatly appreciated.

  14. Show the email attachment at the top

Show the attachments of an email above the text, instead of below. This way, we don't have to scroll down all the way on long conversation.

  15. Sort on date of deletion (Proton Mail)

Currently there seems to be no way to sort on date of deletion meaning that when you delete a very old e-mail, you'll have to find it again using keywords if the list of deleted email is very large.

  16. Proton Rumble channel to mirror YouTube

Proton should create an official Rumble channel and upload its YouTube videos there as well.

Over the past several years, Rumble has established itself as a YouTube alternative that is solidly pro-freedom, anti-censorship, and NOT OWNED BY GOOGLE!

It might be necessary to be on YouTube to attract the most eyeballs, but many people who use platforms like Rumble to distance themselves from Big Tech are the same users who will resonate with Proton's privacy-conscious mission.

The amount of extra effort it takes to upload content to a 2nd platform is miniscule compared to the time and expense invested in…

  17. New Feature/Product Proposal: Building Proton Search — A Privacy-First Web Engine to Empower Lumo and the Proton Ecosystem

As Proton continues shaping a secure, user-controlled internet, the next logical evolution is clear: the creation of a dedicated Proton Search engine — a completely new, privacy-first service designed to power both Lumo, Proton’s AI assistant, and the broader Proton ecosystem.

Proton Search does not yet exist, but its time has come. In an era where mainstream search engines track, profile, and monetize every query, users increasingly demand a trustworthy alternative — one built not for advertisers, but for people. Proton, with its proven record in encrypted communication and secure storage, is uniquely positioned to redefine how private web search…

  18. New Product Proposal: Lumen — A Proton Browser That Illuminates the Path to True Privacy

Imagine a web browser built with Proton’s guiding philosophy at its core — a platform where privacy, intelligence, and design coexist in harmony. This vision takes form as Lumen, a new kind of browser designed to unite Proton’s ecosystem into a single, secure experience.

The name Lumen means light or illumination, symbolizing clarity, transparency, and enlightenment — the very principles Proton stands for. It captures the essence of a browser that helps users navigate safely through the modern web’s dark corners while illuminating truth, privacy, and control. Lumen is more than a browsing tool; it is a guide — shedding…

  19. Revert to old versions

Proton Mail right swipe to delete now takes a full screen swipe and the feel is super annoying. Bc PM converted the app to ai and it's hard to dial it in now.

PM email symbols for each email are now basically rainbow colored, how stupidly annoying.

Proton Pass notes now have a file add section that take half the screen.

    Did someone new take command?
I have to look for a new set of services now.

  20. Adding Arc Browser to Proton’s Privacy-Focused Portfolio

The Arc Browser represents an ideal complement to the Proton ecosystem due to its strong commitment to privacy, security, and innovative user experience design. Built on a Chromium foundation yet differentiated by its privacy-first approach, Arc disables intrusive telemetry and fingerprinting by default, ensuring that user data remains protected and browsing habits uncompromised. The browser incorporates built-in ad and tracker blocking functionality without requiring complex configurations, further reinforcing its dedication to safeguarding user privacy.

Arc’s unique features, such as its vertical sidebar and workspace management system called "Spaces," enhance productivity and efficiency by providing superior tab organization and intuitive navigation.…
