  2. stablecoin support

Introduce support for stablecoins in proton wallet, since stablecoins provide an efficient way to transition between crypto and fiat currencies. Especially USDT & USDC

  3. Isolated Password for Authenticator Sync

    Isolated Password for Authenticator Sync

As a security-conscious Proton user who uses the Proton Authenticator App,
I want to establish a dedicated, separate password exclusively for the account sync feature on the Proton Authenticator App,
So that a compromise of my primary Proton account credentials does not automatically grant a bad actor the ability to sync my TOTP seeds to a Proton Authenticator App they control (this assumes the bad actor has also disabled 2FA for the Proton account).

    Acceptance Criteria (AC)

    AC 1: Separate Credentialing

The user can configure an independent "Authenticator App Sync Password" inside the Proton Account…

  4. Gmail connection — option to disable forwarding while keeping send-as, or exclude messages forwarded from Proton

The new Easy Switch Gmail connection (May 2026) bundles two features together: forwarding all incoming Gmail into Proton, and the ability to send/reply from the Gmail address inside Proton Mail. Please make these independently toggleable, or let the forwarding skip certain messages.

My use case: Proton is my primary mailbox, and I keep a Gmail account as a searchable backup archive. A Proton filter forwards everything I recieve that's not from my own gmail to my Gmail. I like the new feature to be able to reply from the Gmail address without leaving Proton.

The problem: the Gmail connection's forwarding…

  5. ProtonMail Bridge - Proton Drive

With the protonmail bridge - aka ProtonDrive Bridge, would it make sense to connect to our Proton Drive. I see it as a way to bridge into our Proton Drive to easily access our files from our favorite file explorer rather using the web browser.

Also it would be easier for us to choose our favorite linux file explorer for us to easily connect to our personal proton drive, with our favorite linux file explorer its just adding the remote protocols and using protons recommended secure e2e encryption like adding the imap/smtp protocols to our favorite email client from the…

  6. Version History and check for update feature

I tried to find out if my Proton Desktop app is up to date and found it incredibly hard to find any information about it. A support site where every Proton app is listed and then for each platform of the product, a version history with release notes would be very helpful. Additionally, a check for update feature in every app would be great too. Proton drives does this very well already and I wish this features universally for all products.

  7. Onboarding Opt-out or Toggle

Current onboarding experience needs to be streamlined and needs to respect users. Currently, there are emails sent daily for the first week or so and then there are frequent notifications and banners and modal windows that pop up and interrupt the user while trying to complete a task or just send a quick email. This constant interruption and disrespect for user's time and agency is not welcomed. For those that need onboarding, let them opt in and for those that do not need onboarding, let them opt out. There should be a single question upon new account creation: "Would you…

  9. Better importation/linking with Gmail with Proton Mail

First off, I LOVE the new ability to link your gmail account. This is extremely helpful, and removes 90% of my reliability with Gmail as it's all available with Proton Mail.

However, organization is needed for a couple different reasons.

    1) Spam/Promotion
Gmail gives you HUNDREDS of emails into a quick "Promotions" area. All of this goes unfiltered upon linking with Proton, and floods your entire Proton Inbox.
For emails listed under "Promotion" tab in gmail (as well as other misc areas such as Spam), it should be filtered into some type of Subfolder and/or ignored.

    I think the easiest…

  10. Ability to filter on Proton Mail by the email address it is sending to you

Especially with the connection to Gmail, and especially with the already existing ability of up to 10+ alternative emails leading to the same inbox, we need the ability near the top of proton mail to "Filter by Address", with checkboxes for each of your email.

For example, if I have 3 Proton Emails, and my Gmail Account (PersonalProton1@pm.me, BusinessProton2@pm.me, MiscProton3@pm.me, Gmail@gmail.com), but I only want to see the emails for my business email (BusinessProton2@pm.me), I need to simply have a checkbox to only include inbox messages coming to that specific address (BusinessProton2@pm.me

  11. Protonvpn: Server Load Category Selections

The privacy of every vpn is only as good as the amount of people using it. The more people on a server the more secure it is.

Protonvpn should have selectable toggles for servers with particular load ranges by country 0-30, 30-50, 50-70 etc. Selecting a load range will pull a randomized list of servers within that load range from different locations within a given country.

This gives the user more streamlined control for optimizing which server they are using with respect to their individualized threat model.

  13. Not having gnome-keyring as hard dependency for proton-vpn-gtk and mail bridge apps

I'm on KDE, many are. And your apps work perfectly fine with kwallet ! Good job, genuinely.

HOWEVER, your apps keep installing gnome-keyring, DESPITE kwallet being present, when you install them on KDE. And man has that lead to issues here. New wallets created at each startup, when auto-login is enabled, apps not remembering my account, etc.

And with your apps already working fine, if not better, with kwallet on KDE, maybe just stop forcing gnome-keyring as a hard dependency ! I had to create a dummy gnome-keyring binary to satisfy the dependency.*

    Thanks !

  14. Allow to download full albums from Proton Drive (Photos)

I want to download all of my albums from Proton Drive (Photos) web interface to my laptop - but I can't find a way. I need to open each album manually, and click download - which takes a long time. Would be great to be able to checkmark individual albums from the album view, and allow actions like download, delete, etc.

  15. Proton Android simulator on computer

My phone screen just cracked and I don't know how long it will last. I'm going to put some tape on it, but I'd like, if possible, an Android simulator just to access bank accounts, WhatsApp, and all the Proton apps.

A feature to pause synchronization for a certain period on desktop.

  18. Create "Duplicate Entry" capability within Proton Calendar iOS app

The Proton Calendar iOS app does not currently support the "Duplicate Event" capability that the Proton Mail PC app has. Provide this capability to the iOS Proton Calendar app.

This should work when the source calendar is a Proton Calendar or a shared calendar.

  19. Display calendar import failures in English, not machine language

When importing a .ICS file to Proton Calendar, some calendar entries will not successfully import. The user can view the errors, which are displayed in machine language (i.e. the numerical ID for the calendar entry) instead of the name of the calendar entry (i.e. "Steve S's Anniversary"). Therefore, without significant effort, it's not possible to know which calendar entries did not successfully import to Proton Calendar.

  20. Support recurring annual calendar entries which fall on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or last weekday of the month.

From Proton Calendar, allow the user to create a recurring annual calendar entry which fall on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or last weekday of the month. For example, US Thanksgiving is always on the 4th Thursday of November. US Memorial Day is always on the last Monday of May. Allow the user to create ad-hoc recurring events similar to those 2 examples within Proton Calendar.

This will also benefit the calendar import feature, as imported calendar entries following the above recurrence rule fail to import currently, since their recurrence pattern is not currently supported by Proton Calendar.
