  3. Archiving in protonmail.com should automatically open the next message

    Currently, if you are archiving a message (via button or shortcut) then the "read panes" (opened email) is left blank and you need to manually click on the next email. It would make sense for the application to automatically select the next message in the current folder. This would allow one to quickly archive a bunch of messages by pressing A repeatedly.

    I know that you can remedy this somewhat by using keyboard to move to the next message and open it, and archive but it makes very little logical sense to not automatically open the next message.

  4. Allow change calendar for accepted event invitations

    When accepting a calendar invitation the event defaults to my Personal calendar and it's unchangeable. Make it possible that I can change the event's calendar to Work

  6. Synchronisation contacts with iPhone

    Hi Protonmail,
    I look forward to leave Google, but isn't for me possible yet. Mail works great, Calendar and Drive too, but I don't want to have multiple addressbooks (one in my iPhone and one in Protonmail). I'm waiting when synchronisation will be possible.

    A "Proton Social" app/instance, something that might have come to mind once or twice.
    So what should the instance be? Mastodon, as it's currently the biggest and most compatible with other Fediverse content.

    A key reference for this due to a similar but not same setup is Vivaldi Social's instance of Vivaldi, using Vivaldi accounts. In a similar manner, Proton Social will use Proton Accounts, but the account username is not tied to the proton account. (during sign-up, username is selected then to complete registration login to a valid proton account similar to simplelogin must be done)

    I would like to use a Proton Chat (Messenger) and Phone on my (i)Phone and a desktop App. Log-in with proton e-mail address. Threema has not been updated and lacks features. Whatsapp is comprehensive, but not trustworthy.

  13. Digital Legacy mechanics

    Create a Legacy contact with secure mechanics. The Use Case is that any user can designate another as his/her Digital Legacy, so they can take over and manage one's account in the event of passing away.
    A possible approach would be to provide a link for the Legacy user to request access to the account - on such event, the owner would have an x amount of days to respond with a "no need - I'm alive and well". If no response was received within the timeframe, the Legacy user would be granted access to the accounts.

  14. Scale inline images to 100% their container width

    In the web view, Proton Mail's inline images are allowed to be wider than their parent container, giving a distorted feel to the email. This is especially noticeable when someone inlines a picture taken with their phone while composing the message.

    It would be nice if these images were max-width'd to 100% of their parent container/message container

  15. Proton Drive keeps removing macOS files

    Please provide an option to force ALL Proton Drive files to remain on the local disk. My macOS files keep deleting, leaving behind a ghost file with the cloud download button. This breaks my desktop applications.

    You broke Calibre, and now my ebook library is empty. Even after I temporarily download my Proton Drive files.

  16. Delete attachments please!

    In the web interface it's hard to see size of emails or attachments - each individual attachment has a size but the email in the inbox, even sorted by size, doesn't show a total for the email or convo.

    BUT I really would like to delete attachments without deleting the email. Sometimes it's available in Protonmail and sometimes it isn't.

    If I have several messages in a conversation, some of the emails will let me click "show" and then "delete" when I'm looking at the attachments, but most of them do not have this button.

    I could really clear up…

  17. Service for Push notification

    A service to replace Google push notification.

    This service is spying our content everyday through our notification datas and there is no real alternative so far.

    This is the last step of a life 100% without Google .

  18. Standard Notes

    Standard Notes is great but I think it needs some adjustments to make subscribing to a paid plan worthwhile. Sorting should be possible manually, as it is on Apple Reminders, and there should be priorities (none-low-medium-high) assignable to notes, which then could be sorted by priority and then overridden if the user wants by manual sorting.

    There should also be separate color-coding capacity for notes, folders, and tags.

    If these features are developed then I would pay the subscription fee.

    Proton needs a chat system. There are far too few ways to communicate directly now that the big providers have trashed theirs.
