OpenAlias for Receiving BTC
Proton's use of an email resolving to a crypto address is not unique, OpenAlias is a DNS-based open standard that has been around since 2014. This standard should be implemented so any wallet (like Cake or Electum) can send BTC to a Proton email address.

I think you would mean that Proton should support resolving OpenAlias to send BTC. It wouldn't make sense for Proton to support receiving as Proton has nothing to do with the DNS records of a custom domain.
