Here is what I wrote to the unplugged phone team - this real issue is they proctor the Google store and can't keep the unplugged store up to date. -- the Proton issue is that to would be useful to do som backward compatibility in your protocol.

On Nov 20th, proton updated the Proton wallet app. This update required that the Android app be up to date. Unfortunately, the Unplugged did not stay in sync, and the proton wallet is not usable on the unplugged device. This is ten days ago.

I understand the process you need to do to proxy the Android store, and that this constantly requires you to keep in sync. However, the result was that the customer experience was poor.

Maybe you can work an arrangement with Proton where you get informed when updates occur, or maybe you need to write a script that checks for all apps that get updated and automatically gets them into the process. Depending on the user to inform you really is a deal breaker.
