    I would imagine that implementing this feature would be incredibly difficult given how.Apple designed MacOS to be incredibly sandboxed. To the developers at Proton, check out Vopono¹ for a possible approach as how this could be done.

    Update: PIA uses proxies? Mullvad, though multi-step, offers guidance on setting up split tunneling on Mac's using Tunnelblick and SOCKS. See https://mullvad.net/en/help/split-tunneling-mullvad-vpn and https://mullvad.net/en/help/socks5-proxy

    In any event, this is the only missing feature preventing me from using ProtonVPN full time.

    In the meantime, you can try to use vopono or wg-netns to implement split-tunneling on a per app basis.
