Yep, I think it needs to be completely separate buy in also imo;
I'm considering getting a sub at some point if there is a better tier for my situation to keep my large photo albums (my entire life's memories, so it's important to me) but Unlimited is too expensive, and there is no mid tier option currently.
At the same time, I'm hesitant to give money even if they add the tier I need, because I don't want my money to subsidize AI stuff that I don't agree with nor want to use ever. Other people can do what they want but I don't want my money supporting AI so that it infects it's way into private spaces.
LITERALLY, the reason I'm fleeing Google and Microsoft for Proton and Linux hopefully. But if they are going to turn into "Google 2.0" - like.. what is the point, ya know? Google a looooong time ago promised all this stuff about their products and then went back on that promise. I don't want to deal with that again.
