Add multiple ways to sort emails.
I originally wanted to ask that we be able to sort our Inbox by tag/label. I did see that idea, but also saw requests to sort by star/no star and sender. So I wanted to combine these into a single improvement - to be able to sort the inbox by any column. Being able to do this, helps improve productivity. I would like to be able to see the emails I consider most important to follow up at the top, for example. It can also be valuable to see all the emails from a particular sender or under a specific…

Android's Calendar API integration
Android's Calendar API should be incorporated into Proton Calendar, because without that it lacks some fundamental features.
First, if you click a calendar event link, there is no option to open it in Proton Calendar, since it doesn't plug into that intent.
Second, widgets and great launchers (like Niagara) do not see Proton as a calendar, so its events can not be shown. Proton's calendar widget is nice, but it would be much better to have total freedom about launchers and widgets integrate.

Add FIDO2/U2F support to Mobile apps (and allow disabling app based 2FA)
Proton webmail finally supports FIDO2/U2F hardware security keys.
Please add this support to the mobile apps as well. Yubikey has inexpensive NFC-enabled hardware security keys. NFC or not, Proton's app should also support this as an option.
Currently you can only log into mobile with an app-based TOTP code or a recovery code, and you can only unlock a logged in session with a PIN or biometrics.
It should be possible to make the only option a hardware security key for all Proton apps.

We'll be adding the option to disable authenticator app very soon.

Color labels/categories in calendar
We just started using the ProtonMail calendar, but notice there is no way to color code events/categories such as we had in Outlook/Google calendars. It would be helpful to have this feature included to easily identify the type of event at a glance.

Allow for syncing Proton Calendar with Thunderbird, which is the client I use for PM emails on my iMac.
Proton calendar currently does not have support for 3rd party apps, such as Thunderbird. I use Thunderbird with all of my PM email addresses and do not want to have another app open it is convenient from my personal and freelance work emails to be all in one place.

Add to Calendar option in the email context menu to quickly create events
Dear Proton Mail Product Team,
Thank you for the continued development of Proton Mail and Proton Calendar. Your commitment to privacy and user-centric features is greatly appreciated.
I would like to request a feature that would streamline productivity and organization within the Proton ecosystem: the ability to add an email to Proton Calendar directly from the context menu in all apps.
Specifically:
• When right-clicking (or tapping the options menu) on an email in the inbox, or when viewing an open email, there should be an option to “Add to Calendar”
• This action would create a new calendar event…107 votes -

Proton Mail Desktop Email Client - Multiple Accounts
I would like to see a Proton Mail Desktop Email Client (app), where I can view the status of all 6 of my Proton Mail accounts simultaneously, without having to constantly switch between each one separately. Basically similar to desktop Mac Mail app or Thunderbird app, but for Proton Mail accounts only.

POP3
I eschew Webmail wherever i can, strongly preferring local-pc client-based email / PIM functionality [currently Thunderbird, with POP3]. It remains greatly inconvenient to me that you still do not have POP3 support. No, i do not care at all about your mobile apps... useless to me... i want it on my pc with POP3. I would stop using ProtonMail altogether [due to this problem] if it wasn't for the fact that you have such excellent security criteria... but i persist with the Webmail-only access under sufferance. PLEASE give POP3 support.

Send e-mails from other e-mail services via SMTP/IMAP as an alias (like in gmail)
It would be great to be able to use protonmail as the only e-mail site without requiring to visit all the other e-mail providers one might have by just adding them as POP3/IMAP aliases into protonmail.

Support Calendar via Bridge
Struggling with feature parity for Proton Mail/Calendar and have multiple other email accounts, so I'm still in Outlook.
However, the proton calendar doesn't correctly sync via Outlook/Bridge. So now I'm in Outlook for email and Proton Calendar. It appears some calendar events show up in each but not everything in either.101 votes -

Send from any address of custom domains if catch-all in enabled
It is now possible to send an e-mail using any alias account+alias@customdomain.tld
It doesn't seem possible at the moment to send from anything@customdomain.tld unless an address was created for it, regardless of catch-all.I wish that if I can receive to any address using a catch-all, to reply from any of those addresses.

Proper Calendar Event Invitations with Accept / Decline / Tentative
Summary /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Add full support for standard calendar event invitations so recipients receive actionable event requests (Accept / Decline / Tentative) instead of a passive .ics attachment.
Description /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
When adding participants to a Proton Calendar event, recipients currently receive an email containing an .ics file. However, this does not appear as a proper event invitation in many calendar clients and does not offer standard response options such as Accept, Decline, or Tentative.
As a result, the event is not treated as a true meeting request but rather as a file attachment, which significantly limits usability.

Remember my notification choices
Most often I would like to be notified 2 hours before and 10 minutes before. At the moment I have to delete the "15 minutes before", then enter "10 minutes before" then enter "2 hours before", then delete "notify by email 15 minutes before". And I have to do it EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Wouldn't it be nice if just the latest choice was left there by default?
Meaning if a created event with "10 minutes before" and "2 hours before", the next even I create has these already pre-populated?
Of course, there could be a separate menu item that turns…

Would be nice to have a "reminder" feature in addition to events
Basically "reminders" as in Google Calendar would be ideal. Main difference with Events is duration (no duration for reminder, a thin line in the calendar) and, most importantly, that reminder moves ahead in time continuously if I did not acknowledge it. By that I mean each time I open calendar I see these reminders that are not done yet. Currently I use Events also for reminders, but if I can't do the task right at the time of notification I easily forget it because I don't see it e.g. the next day.
