Translation and choice
It would be very useful to translate (or customize) the message sent to a non-PM user, with invitation to read the encrypted message.
It can be made very simply : just open a new area, and custom the message before and ad after the link which will be sent. In the preference of the account, user will be able to customize this message as they want : the aim is to improve the identification of the sender.
I would add the following to this idea: each account should choose one or more languages in which they want their recipients to see the password page.
Most people I communicate can understand at least one of the three following languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese.
The 3 languages should be a good balance between a clean password page and user reach, but it shouldn't be a hard limit.
What I am trying to say here is that a page with 3 languages should be enough for MOST accounts and the user can leave the languages set in his/hers settings, so as not to choose in every single e-mail.

as a swiss based product, you shouldn't undermine german as one of the official languages. supporting this would be an improvement for your product.
I fully support the request.
Living in France, English could be an encrypted language for some of my fellows citizen ;-)
Moreover Protonmail is of Swiss origin. French German and even Italian should be natives languages.
I do realise this is the global village world, but it does indeed begs the question how Swiss ProtonMail actually is, how committed ProtonMail really is to being Swiss, and how much the nice pictures of snow top mountains is Americans waving a Swiss flag because the stars and stripes isn't good marketing nowadays...

I think this is a great idea - why doesn't Protonmail make use of one of these open translation platforms? I'm sure the community would love to translate the captions for the most important buttons, captions, ect. All the news releases, the blog, ect. could still be in English language. The kind of basic user we are talking about does not use the advanced features (custom domains, ect.) which limits the number of help pages which need to be kept up to date. Maybe you could assemble a core team of community translators which would help with urgent updates in return for a free pro/visionary plan. I for sure would volunteer.
I strongly support this request.
I know some from the elder generation would like to switch to protonmail, but they do not because it is only in english (and french).
To widly spread protonmail, menu navigation in german language is absolutely necessary (even if the support language would remain only english).
Thank you already now.
Yes, I know, the website is in French already. But even when you click on “se connecter”, the menu navigation in the mailbox is all in English.
So here is my request:
1. Mail inbox menu in French, when you login on the French website
2. Webpage translation in German
3. Mail inbox menu in German, when you login on the German website
Otherwise it is very difficult to convince some Swiss people to switch to Protonmail, because they do not understand the English language.
