  1. Enable the existing user controlled filtering options on Android

The lack of access to the user controlled filtering options is a real problem for users who primarily handle mail on their phone. In general, extended features and settings should be available in the app, but filtering is the most important one for me atm.

If this is not available on Linux yet, i would suggest also implementing it there.

    Thank you.

  2. Block Addresses on Mobile

It is currently not possible to block addresses (whether in spam or not) on Android. I will assume the same is true for Apple mobile apps.

Being able to block senders on mobile would be really great so I don't need to jump over to my desktop when I put them into spam so I can block them.

  3. Schedule send an encrypted email (to non Proton email users)

I haven't found how to schedule send an email for which the external encryption is activated. I suppose it is not currently possible since the encryption option is set with an expiration date. But it would be great to allow the option to schedule send the encrypted email and start the expiration period (+28 days or custom expiration period) when email is delivered.

  4. macOS Translate right-click

    Hi,

A quick-win for the Proton Mail macOS app would be to add the standard macOS "Translate" action on right-click. It would be super appreciated as right now it's a nightmare to copy/paste into a separate translation engine; and it's standard behavior on a macOS app.

As a note, even if technically different, it is already the case on Proton Mail for iOS.

    Thanks!

  5. Email thread bundles

Google Inbox had a killer pair of features - snooze, and bundles. Bundles pulled together conversation threads into a "bundle" - typically oriented around a query or label - which allowed you to expand the bundle, handle thigns individually, or handle the mail with a bulk action.

Please consider replicating this critical feature from the old Google inbox, as it was a large part of why I used it, and use Shortwave today.

  6. Extra Cold Storage Folder for Mail with Separate Encryption-Key and Password

Option for an e-mail archive (for old or sensitive emails) with a separate encryption key and password.

This would enhance security and improve speed, since when the archive is locked, the number of emails included in searches would be significantly reduced.

  7. Less Resource-Heavy Web Browser Interface for Proton Mail

Proton Mail's inbox was heavy enough on my Celeron N4020, hogging all 100% of the CPU when I opened it on Mullvad Browser along with Brave Browser for Gmail to set up a recovery email on my Proton account and crashes for several times.

  8. Korean Language Search Feature

Please improve the "SEARCH" feature for Korean language emails. Unlike English when searching for words or characters in Korean the search bar doesn't pull up relevant characters or remains blank unable to search more than 80% of the time. It is also unable to search the correspondent by Korean name. It should be able to pull up results for all relevant email titles, contents, names, etc. when searching in Korean language as well.

  9. Email translator

It would be extremely important for Proton Mail to have a simultaneous translator to translate emails and, if possible, with integrated AI.

  10. Warn before closing app because of ctrl+W

I close browser windows using Ctrl+W. Sometimes I think I'm in my browser, but I'm actually in the Proton Mail desktop application when I do the Ctrl+W, and then Proton Mail immediately disappears.

Can you optionally display a box that says something like, "Do you really want to close the Proton Mail app?"

  12. iPad Website Scrolling

When viewing an email, if you try and scroll down it does not work. You have to move your cursor to the side of the email into a very tiny space that belongs to the Proton UI. Obviously you can scroll from tapping wherever you want just not using the iPad touchpad.

  13. Restrict SMTP Token to Specific Recipients to Limit Damage if Leaked

I need a secure way to use SMTP tokens on a webserver so that, if a token gets leaked, the potential damage is limited as much as possible.

    My main requirement:
The token should only be usable to send emails to a specific set of recipients. I want to be able to define (and limit) allowed recipients (by full email address, or by recipient hostname) when generating or issuing the SMTP token.

    Key points:

The SMTP token must not be valid for sending to all addresses; it should work only for the recipient addresses or domains I specify.

  14. Print draft email

For the life of me, I cannot find a way to print draft emails. This should be possible, please. I still like to edit hard copies of sensitive email by hand, so printing draft emails is a critical need.

  18. Android's Calendar API integration

Android's Calendar API should be incorporated into Proton Calendar, because without that it lacks some fundamental features.

First, if you click a calendar event link, there is no option to open it in Proton Calendar, since it doesn't plug into that intent.

Second, widgets and great launchers (like Niagara) do not see Proton as a calendar, so its events can not be shown. Proton's calendar widget is nice, but it would be much better to have total freedom about launchers and widgets integrate.

  19. Add option to disable update notice for proton-mail desktop app

I use the desktop application on CachyOS which I know is not a supported distro, I am not asking for official support but I hate that annoying blue banner at the top just because my desktop app is a single build version behind the official packaging. I would like the option that most other linux applications have to disable self-checking for updates. A simple toggle would be fine.

  20. Update encryption key on any/all past emails

Currently, if you update your keys, all previous emails still retain the old keys which can make loading slower as well as insecure if that key is comprimised. Can you please add a built in method/option to update any specific email or all email in you account to use any other current key or a new key?
