Thunderbird native support
It would be nice that you support Thunderbird natively, not with Proton Bridges, maybe with a plugin
I'd like also native support for Thunderbird for Android14 votes -
Automatically create filter based on selected email
It would be very helpful if there was an option from within the mail app where users could select a particular email and create a filter for it from there, creating the folder, defining the rule, and then running on existing mail. When creating from an email, the filter option could automatically generate some rules, like from the sender of the email you are filtering.
When I am going through my inbox and I see a particular sender is sending more mail than I prefer or it is starting to add up, it would be nice to just do it…

Breach monitoring
Hello Proton, I would like a new function in the ProtonMail app: Email monitoring (data leak warning).
So you can turn on the email data leak warning with the proton subscription and just have to enter the email and activate it.

See the raw message or at least raw headers
Please allow an option to see the raw message in the app, especially ALL headers, including X- headers.
While Proton does what it can to help protect users, much more information is in the raw message, especially the headers. We are robbed of examining these in the mobile app. This is a SECURITY option.
This needn't be an "always on" option, simply a choice to see it as an option ad hoc on individual messages. Seeing all headers all the time is unnecessary. But on certain messages, I want to see everything I've been sent.45 votes -
Proton Scribe for Unlimited plan
As an unlimited user, I expected my subscription to encompass all Proton’s advanced capabilities, just like “unlimited” suggests.
Including this feature in the unlimited plan would be nice, as I, like many other users, don’t need a Duo plan because I don’t have anyone to share it with.

Block Addresses on Mobile
It is currently not possible to block addresses (whether in spam or not) on Android. I will assume the same is true for Apple mobile apps.
Being able to block senders on mobile would be really great so I don't need to jump over to my desktop when I put them into spam so I can block them.

Add biometrics to unlock phone app
Right now, everytime I update my Android app it logs out and I need to relogin again. It would be nice if I could use my fingerprint to unlock it instead. So this is an attempt to solve the auto-logout.

Different inbox for each custom email address/alias
For each custom email address/alias, a specific inbox. Or at the very least, the ability to sort emails by which email alias/address they came from.

Stop serving ads to your paid users
When using the web browser client, paid users get served Proton's own adverts in the form of promotional bars. Please give us the option to opt out of your own ads.

Sort Mail Conversation Threads Most Recent First
When you have a conversation thread, why would you want to have scroll to the bottom to see or interact with the most recent message? The most recent message should be at the top.
Alternatively, allow a setting to 'sort conversation view most recent first'

Adjustable Sidebar Width in Proton Mail
I would like to suggest a new feature (or improvement) for the Proton Mail interface: making the sidebar width adjustable.
Currently, the sidebar has a fixed width, which can be problematic for users who organize their emails using folders with longer names. These names often get truncated, making it difficult to quickly identify folders. For users who rely on a structured and professional email organization, full folder visibility is essential.
Allowing users to manually adjust the sidebar width would significantly improve usability and enhance the overall experience. This feature would not only benefit Proton Mail but could also be applied…

Inbox Checker for ProtonMail
Hello everyone, I have developed a browser extension called "Checker for ProtonMail," which notifies you when new emails arrive in your inbox. Unlike the official notification feature, this plugin allows you to filter out emails that you don't want to be alerted about, such as subscription emails, so you can work peacefully without distractions.

Pin E-Mails to the top of the E-Mail List.
Pin E-Mails to the top of the E-Mail List. This is a very helpful feature in Outlook already, and I love it at work.
Sometimes you have very important e-mails that should always be visible. As soon as they are no longer important, you can simply unpin them.

Add a "forward email" option to filter actions
I've recently run into an issue where I need to have particular emails forwarded to my wife when they fall into my inbox, and they're time-sensitive. It'd be easier to have these emails just automatically forward to an email of my choosing.

Auto-advance
When I delete an email, Proton Mail brings me back to my Inbox. However, instead, when I delete an email, I would like Proton Mail to automatically advance ("auto-advance") to the next email.

Really not much to say. I would like to be able to search my calendar using the android app. Not having search in the app severally hinders the functionality for me.

Folder and Label Organization
Folder and label organization needs to improve.
One should have the oportunity to at least sort alphabet and date added. When creating labels and folders, and when you have a lot of sub-folders it tends to get really messy and it's time consuming to try to organize this manually with drag and drop.137 votes -
Auto-correct spellcheck in message composition
Apple and Gmail both have seamless and intuitive auto-correct spellcheck. Proton simply highlights misspelled word but does not correct or even offer correction options.
