Import
Hello, I am interested in having an auto import feature or a scheduled import feature.
This would be in conjunction with the ability to auto tag automated imports or remove automated import tags via the filters.
Thank you for your time. Keep up the great work!

Copy of Auto-Advance Feature from GMail
I have the following option for Auto-Advance in my GMail account:
After archiving, deleting, muting, etc. a conversation:
Go to the next (newer) conversation
Go to the previous (older) conversation
Go back to the threadlistYou can pick one of those. This allows a much cleaner flow of working through your emails each day instead of being taken back to the inbox after each.

Additional Appearance Customization
A while ago, a purple indicator was added to the left of each unread message, which seemed superfluous because unread messages were already highlighted in white. It looks like other users requested this feature, but I don't want it. Just recently, I noticed that the titles of read messages have been grayed out, which makes them hard to read in some themes. This adds a third way to distinguish between read and unread emails - but there only needs to be one, and it shouldn't interfere with my ability to read. If other users prefer these changes, that's fine, but…

Custom domain mail hosting with Proton and SimpleLogin
I have a custom domain hosted through ProtonMail with two active mail boxes. When I add the MX records for both ProtonMail and Simplelogin, SimpleLogin refuses to verify the MX records for my domain. Granted, I have my DNS records to give priority to ProtonMail since I cannot afford to miss emails, but this is preventing me from being able to use SimpleLogin with my domain.

Low-contrast theme for accessibility
I have a visual impairment which makes it genuinely painful to look at and read text on high-contrast screens. I would sincerely appreciate a lower-contrast theme using the sort of soft lilac color scheme on the actual proton.me website, which is perfectly comfortable for me to read.

Manage Filters in iOS App
Allow us to create, edit, and delete filters in the iOS app. At the very least, just adding the checkbox at the bottom "Always move sender's emails" that currently exists in the web version would be great! I mostly just use that. I mostly manage my email on my phone, but am forced to log in on my computer to simply add a filter for mail that I don't need cluttering my inbox.

Multiselect for deletion is dicey
I get so much junk mail! I have to manually select each one (Outlook lets you Ctrl+select). Lately, after 5 selections, all of them get deselected! Ouch!
I would like 1) Ctrl+Select as many as you like 2) push DELETE key (no garbage can icon

"Pin" starred messages on top
Both Outlook (through its pining feature) and GMail (with its priority inbox) allow users to have important messages "pinned" on top of the inbox.
This is a very useful feature to mark emails that need attention through a first quick pass before addressing them one by one without missing anything. In ProtonMail, what I would like to see is an aggregation of starred messages at the top of the Inbox, i.e., as soon as I mark a message as "starred", it should be listed at the top along with other (non-archived) starred messages before regular messages. Once a starred message…

Highlight the domain in the Link Confirmation window
I suggest when a user clicks a link in an email and have the "Link Confirmation" enabled that the confirmation window highlights the actual top level domain. Many links are extremely long and some phishing/malicious emails will create links that are meant to look like they're going to a legitimate site when they're not such as http:microsoft.com.baddomain.me/login. In this case you would highlight the "baddomain.me" so the user knows they're not going to microsoft.com. It would be a simple feature to add and would help protect non-technical users. Thank you.

Android Tablet Optimization
With the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet incoming, Google is pushing for apps to have tablet-optimized layouts when using a larger device. The layout of Proton Mail on Android works on tablets, but it is nowhere near as useful as the Gmail tablet layout

Filters to save email attachments to specific Proton Drive Folder
I've since migrated most of my social/digital accounts over Proton. This means that I now receive all my monthly invoice documents in Proton as well. It would be great if we could setup a automation/flow that could filter out incoming email, then take the attachments and store it away in a specified folder in Proton Drive. I currently have a (Microsoft) Power Automate flow that does this with GMail and OneDrive.
When email is received > Check parameters (Subject, From, To etc) > if parameters match your set criteria > Save the attachment in a specified folder in Proton Drive

Custom inbox layout
In order to make the transition easier from such mailboxes such as Gmail, having options for the mailbox layout would help.
We could have layout options such as "Unread - starred - read" or "Starred - unread - read" to keep what's important to you at a glance.
A well structured inbox makes for better productivity and ease of use, and therefore makes the product more attractive, or at least on par, with its competitors.

Archive/Trash thread hotkeys
Currently there are hotkeys for archiving and trashing an email but they are specific to the email you are looking at and not the whole thread. There are also UI buttons when you mouse over a thread to archive and delete which does perform the operation on all emails in the thread.
The proposal is to map keyboard shortcuts shift+a and shift+t to the functionality the UI buttons do to the thread.

rename message subject
when you receive a message it can sometimes be useful to be able to rename the subject of the message received. This function is natively in Outlook, EmClient and in Thunderbird (with an extension)

specific email notifications
Emulate the VIP concept in Apple mail to be able to be notified by messages that fall into that category only. So to have the ability to selectively be notified triggered by specific senders only. Notifications for every email is not helpful.

Conversation Grouping Improvements
As a user, I would like to see conversation grouping work more similarly to other mainstream mailing services like Outlook or Gmail by updating the functionality of conversations to:
- not include conversations that have been deleted
- only group emails that are replies from the original email (i.e., not grouping emails because they have the same title.)The latter point can be frustrating when receiving emails such as appointment confirmations, newsletters, or sign-in pass codes which often have the same subject line.
