2. the ability to set recurring events based on a specific number of days

   Hello Proton Team,

   I am writing to request a new feature for Proton Calendar: the ability to set recurring events based on a specific number of days (e.g., "Every 28 days") rather than just "Monthly" or specific calendar dates.

   Why this is important: Many users rely on calendars to track health cycles, such as menstruation, which often follow a fixed day count (e.g., 28, 29, or 30 days) rather than a calendar month. Currently, the "Monthly" recurrence option causes the event date to drift over time because months vary in length (28–31 days). This makes the calendar inaccurate for medical or health tracking purposes.

   Current Limitation: The only recurrence options available are based on calendar intervals (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly). There is no option to select "Every X days."

   Desired Solution: Please add a recurrence option that allows users to specify a fixed interval in days (e.g., "Repeat every 28 days"). This would ensure that health tracking remains accurate regardless of the varying lengths of calendar months.

   I’d like to see the number of unread emails in the browser tab (just like I was used to in Gmail). It can’t be that difficult… after all, the calendar tab shows the current date, for example.

5. Include time on emails for yesterday in proton mail web

   Please consider adding time to the mail list and mail details. Showing 'yesterday' at 09:05 the next morning does not give necessary information to you on when exactly the email was received. Knowing what time the previous day an email arrived is pretty important.

   I understand why you may want to save screen real estate on the email list by not showing time (although there's a tonne of space anyway), but when you open an email it should really always show date and time rather than just yesterday.

7. Calendar: "Disable" instead of cancelling an event

   Currently, the user is only able to delete an event in case it is cancelled. In such a case, the information about the canceled event is permanently lost.

   Instead, I as a user would like to have an option to cancel or disable an event, but to keep in my calendar marked for instance by a strikethrough label. The disabled event might be deleted later.

   Thus, the canceled event may remember the user of any further or future action or task.

9. Partner with Signal for a messaging, calling, video app

   If Proton could partner with Signal so that both customer bases could communicate with each other with messaging, voice, and video. One of the biggest limitations with private messaging is whether or not the people you want to communicate with have the same technology. Expanding the customer base would benefit the customers of both groups. Signal has a mature product running on all of the major platforms. Proton could offer international hosting, which would limit government throttling like we've recently seen with Telegram. It would seem like Signal and Proton could find common ground that benefits both of them and their customers.

10. UX costumization in Calendar

    It would be great to be able to costumize the way we want to calendar app on Android.
    I'm thinkin of :
    - In monthly view, have a parameter that allows us to display the title of event on 2 or 3 lines, to be able to read it (Or to change the size of the title)
    - In weekly view, same thing : for a full day event only 2 letters of the event are displayed...
    - In weekly view : To have an option display the adress of the event : we have to check the event to find it.
    - In weekly/monthly view : To be able to change the color if the event is on several days (like a pastel-ish tone to the color of the event).

    I went from Samsung to Proton, the features on their calendars were much more efficient and nice to use, it's kind of difficult to adjust.

    It would be great to be able to costumize the way we want to calendar app on Android.

11. Buttons should be at the end of the mail

    Dear ProtonMail team,

    I would like to suggest a usability improvement for the webmail interface.

    Currently, the action buttons (such as delete, archive, etc.) are positioned above the email content. In practice, this creates friction: after reading a message, I often want to take an action, but I have to scroll back to the top to access those buttons.

    It would improve the user experience significantly if these action buttons were also available at the end of the email, or if they remained visible while scrolling. This would allow users to act immediately after reading, without unnecessary navigation.

12. Modular "A La Carte" Pricing for Proton Mail Services

    I am writing to suggest a more flexible subscription model for Proton Mail services.

    Currently, the gap between individual "Plus" plans and the "Unlimited" tier is quite large. The Unlimited plan includes many features that I do not necessarily need, which makes the upgrade path feel inefficient for users with specific requirements.

    I would like to propose a "Menu-style" or modular approach where users can add specific services to their existing plans at a discounted bundled rate.

    For example, as a current Proton Pass Plus user ($2.99/mo), I would love the option to add Mail Plus ($3.99/mo) features for a total of $6.98/mo, rather than being forced to jump to the full Unlimited plan at $9.99/mo.

    Allowing users to customize their own bundles would likely:
    1. Increase Proton's Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) by capturing those who find the current Plus plans too limited but the Unlimited plan too expensive.
    2. Improve user retention by providing a personalized experience.
    3. Attract a broader audience who only needs a lighter combination of Proton’s ecosystem.

    It would be really helpful to have a signature selector directly in the email composer.

    I frequently need to insert my signature manually — especially when replying to emails or using accounts that don't have a default signature set. I also often want to switch between different signatures depending on the context (for example, using a project-specific signature instead of my standard one).

    Adding a button in the composer that lets me choose from a list of saved signatures would solve this friction completely. This is a very common and well-established feature in most modern email services (Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail, etc.).

    It should be a fairly straightforward addition, but it would significantly improve the daily email experience.

14. Better long mail conversation UI

    Currently, it is cumbersome to browse long email conversations:
    * individual emails are collapsed, therefore I can only read the address of the sender
    * clicking on an individual email to open it displays the full conversation backwards, which makes it very long to scroll through the page
    * it's generally hard to find the email I'm looking for (I basically click randomly in hope to find the proper email, until I do)

    In my humble opinion:
    * individual emails should not display the entire conversation (allow collapsing / uncollapsing it with a "..." button like in gmail)
    * collapsed emails should still display the first few words of the last email (like in gmail) to make it easy to find emails in a long conversation
    * collapsing / uncollapsing an email shouldn't change the y-scroll value of the page (otherwise it's hard to follow what's going on on the screen)

15. Synchronize Proton Pass with Proton Mail Contacts

    Having some synchronization between Proton Mail and Proton Pass in regards to contacts/identities would be helpful for keeping track of identities or people you're needing to maintain contact with. Having the two not synchronized means you're tracking duplicate information across various Proton apps. I know others have alluded to being able to synchronize Proton Contacts with phone or desktop contacts, which would make synchronization with Password Pass even more helpful. This would mostly involve using the identities for online forms, but would be a nice QoL feature to have. Maybe provide an button/option to disable the sync per-contact or across all apps.

16. Cross-platform synchronization

    I’ve noticed a persistent sync lag between the browser version and the iOS app. Not a lag i guess, since it never happens.

    Even after I’ve cleared my inbox on my computer, my iPhone still shows a notification badge for those same emails. It seems the app is relying on a manual pull/refresh to update the badge rather than a server-side push.

    It would be great if the Proton Mail app could sync the "read" state in the background so I don't have to open the app just to make the red bubble go away.

    Is this on the roadmap for a future update?

17. enable reminders to be sent to phone as text messages

    As someone who needs strong, clear reminders that don't require me to remember to check my email and then have to click the currently oblique email reminders in proton, I would love to see the option to have event reminders sent to me by text message - as often as I need them.

18. Each alias needs a signature of its own.

    Supposedly this feature was added earlier, but the link to it is nonfunctioning. The user should be able to add a different signature to each alias rather than a single signature for all. If this already exists, please show where and how.

    I would be nice and streamlined if I could edit existing calendar entries in the web interface by double clicking on the entry. Currentrly you need to single click and then select the edit icon in the popup window.
