ProtonVPN

  1. When will you make Wireguard VPN available?

When would you please make Wireguard available?

There are many providers out there already supporting it - at least 10 reputable ones.
Wireguard is faster than Openvpn and despite being a relatively new protocol I would appreciate it if you allow connections on beta servers.

I'm using OpenVpn transparently via dedicated router and gaining speed without paying for extra hardware can only be a reasonable ask and a step forward.

I am a paying customer and I think it will be wasteful to pocket an additional subscription in order to use Wireguard with other providers as I am already with…

  4. A geographical "Limit" on the Random feature.

I have my VPN set to "Random" every time, as I do not need to have the fastest possible connection in many cases and having an identical IP (in combination with my browser's non-javascript info) would quickly be matchable and therefore traceable. However, living in Europe, the VPN often connects me to places like Australia, New Zealand, or south-east Asia. Here the tradeoff between traceability and speed becomes too great, as loading times are absurd.

I would like to request a feature where I can limit the "Random" to specific areas of the Earth. Perhaps a drop down tab with…

  5. Improved server search and profile creation.

Provide the ability to search for servers and create profiles using filters based not only on country but things like city, state, type of server (e.g., basic, P2P), load, latency, etc.

  6. Ability for Kill switch to block all connections even if I personally turn off ProtonVPN

I recently tried using Tunnelblick to do some comparisons and Tunnelblick did an amazing job with its kill switch option and compared it to Proton VPN kill switch.
Once Tunnelblick was disconnected, it also disconnected my internet connection, with or without me personally turning it off, unlike ProtonVPN where connections are blocked only if the VPN itself disconnects.
It would be great for ProtonVPN kill switch to have what the Tunnelblick kill switch option have.

  8. Custom Group for ProtonVPN

I have an issue where websites block several of the Proton VPN servers. (oddly it seems to be a majority of the plus servers). I think it would be helpful if I could create a custom groups from which PVPN would select. A custom Random group or custom Fastest group or whatever. I find myself having to manually adjust my server often enough that I would find this helpful.
    Thanks,

  12. Does ProtonVpn has Zero-No Log policy Like NordVpn

If you use a no-logs VPN, it doesn’t have any records to give to the authorities,

  13. Split tunneling, reverse implementation on Android

I'd like a reverse implementation of Split tunnelling on Android. If I only want to use VPN for 3-4 apps, I have to manually exclude the remaining 350 apps.

There should be an option to "only include these apps".

  14. Low carbon switch

Similar to the Secure Core switch, a Low carbon switch that would allow to filter VPN servers to restrict the selection to countries where power generation is less carbon-intensive. The list of countries could be either derived of yearly averaged, or refreshed real-time based on e.g. electricitymap data.

  15. For iOS, show VPN status on app icon or as a notification.

I'm relatively new to iOS, so I might be missing something, but it would be nice if the ProtonVPN connection status was shown as a badge on the app icon. I think what a user can see on the status bar is different depending on the version of iOS and model of phone and, in my case, the VPN status is not shown (which is different from the Android device I used to have).

I sometimes find that the VPN is not connected (and not trying to re-connect) even though "Always-on VPN) is selected in the app settings and it…

  18. InvizBox 2 Pro

The butInvizBox 2 is a good idea but it's a bit underpowered.

As the Ars Technica review noted " If you're concerned about speeds and you have an internet connection faster than 100Mbps, it could be worth spending the extra $40-$50 upgrading to the InvizBox 2 Pro."

Why not also offer the Invizbox 2 Pro?

    Regards,

  19. A couple ideas

    1. Protonvpn for linux needs an android-esque kill-switch option i.e. iptables set to not allow any outgoing traffic regardless of deliberate disconnect or not.

    2. For P2P servers to be taken seriously, ProtonVPN needs to support port forwarding (and not just for windows, fully featuring products like ProtonVPN and ProtonMail is more important than expanding to Drive storage etc., especially since the amount of Drive storage offered is impractically low for most people), my seeding is abhorrently slow and I have to run a torrent client almost 24/7 just to keep up a 1.0 ratio.
