Edit file metadata (including photos)
Don't need much. Currently, the Photos portion of Drive doesn't have any capability beyond view photo.
I would like to be able to upload lots of photos and re-arrange them/fix metadata issues.
Primarily, Windows has taken some of my old photos I've edited/restored and made the Date Modified to today's date, when the photo date taken was 1965. But when I upload to Photos, it appears as today's date.
I should be able to easily go in and correct these mistakes.

Duplicate a sheet next to original sheet
When duplicating a sheet in Proton Sheets. Please place the new sheet next to the original sheet and not all the way at the end of the list.

In the case of slow connections, the choice of how much Internet bandwidth to dedicate would be missing, and I would add the choice of how many files at a time to synchronize. (without leaving out Linux). Greetings, Ivan1 vote -
Folder tree should autoexpand during navigation
Similar to File Explorer on Windows, there's a setting called 'Autoexpand to folder'. When clicking a folder on the main area of File Explorer, the tree view on left panel autoexpand to that folder.
Proton Drive is better with such feature. Currently, when double-clicking a folder on the main area, the folder tree on the left doesn't change, and sometimes it's deeply nested inside, thus clicking the tree to browse to current folder is slow.

Delete phone photos after upload
Option to delete uploaded photos from phone
Just uploading pictures is not enough if I need to check and delete the pictures by hand. There should be the option to one-click delete uploaded pictures or do that automatically after a certain time.

Proton Drive Integration with Android Default Storage
I haven't yet found a way to set Proton Drive as a default storage location on Android within the "My Files" functionality which drives selectable save options for most file save actions. Obviously, Google Drive is available along with MS OneDrive, internal storage, SD storage and network storage. Having Proton Drive set here would make file management much easier on Android mobile.

ask to merge folders of same name during upload
During upload to the browser interface, if I upload an updated version of a previously uploaded folder structure, the app asks me if I want to replace the previous folders of the same name, if I want to skip folders of the same name, or if I want to keep both.
I propose a fourth option of merging folders of similar names and then if this choise is made, ask for the choice of replace, keep both or do nothing for files specifically. This behavior would be similar to the experience of moving or copying files in folders on Windows.…

Exclude folders/files
Thank you for the desktop application, it was necessary and I am very satisfied, excellent job. On the other hand, it would be very useful to have the ability to exclude files/folders, either by selecting them or using a regular expression. For example, excluding folders like 'node_modules'.

LAN Sync
Allow devices on the same LAN that have files already downloaded to sync the data between them rather than going through the servers to improve syncing speed.
This is especially important because:
a) Syncing speed is very slow (as mentioned elsewhere) because it doesn't pipeline well for many small files.
b) If I change my password I have to re-sync EVERYTHING. I'd be happy if that changes too, because it's pretty crazy to re-download 100s of GB just because of a password change. But if that isn't possible for the security reasons then at least the sync speed should be…2 votes -
Import files and folder structures from Notion into drive in Proton docs format
It would be very nice if I could import my whole Notion documents/structure into drive, so I could use proton docs as a notion replacement.
I find the proton docs editor already very similar to the functionality of the notion editor (60% ?). I guess there are still several formatting options missing, but proton docs is already pretty similar, so i am asking for the notion import option.Maybe you could use some open source code from anytype, which is pretty close to notion, too.

Improve swipe down gesture
When viewing a photo on Proton Drive, the swipe down gesture to return to the Photo's Home Page requires a long and precise swipe. On my iPhone 13 Pro Max, this is difficult because my thumb cannot comfortably reach the required distance.
But on my iOS's Photos app, I do not have this problem and I can comfortably swipe to go back to the next/previous photo or return to the default view with a minimal gesture

Templates structure in Proton docs
I need to create the same page structure in proton docs multiple times to ensure that i am not missing any element in my report writing.
It will be extremely productive, if a template could be saved for such requirement and then i just click that template and save my 7 to 9 clicks including the font and the size specifications.8 votes -
Improve Folder|File Structure View in Proton Docs
Please add a View in docs.proton.me where I can navigate the folder structure instead of only seeing the recently edited documents.
Please add a two-column view in docs and drive where i can have the structure tree (files and folders) open in both columns and move documents between those columns.

Populate Proton Docs sidebar with folders that contain documents
Alongside the Recents and Trash views, include folders from Proton Drive where documents have been stored. When the user selects a folder from the sidebar, show all documents from that folder in the list of files.

Next - previous button in shared folder
It will be nice to have a next and previous buttons when a folder is shared via public link so the content (pictures mostly) can be easily browsed

This is a very important feature for your privacy-focused target audience, so it doesn't make sense to hide it in the settings and FORCE the user to make their private data public during the set up phase. It should be on the share screen and very obvious. In fact, you can make a whole separate option so that it is mutually exclusive with the publically accessible link toggle.

Display photos at 100% zoom
When viewing a photo on the Proton Drive website, there is currently no way to show the photo in its native size. By default the photo is resized to "fit the window", and you only have the option to zoom in (which applies a factor of 1.1) or zoom out (factor of 0.9). You can't set the zoom level at exactly 100%.
This is very annoying, especially for things like screenshots or images of text, which will always be kind of blurry when not shown in their native size.
