  1. Separate data limits for Proton Mail and Drive

    Currently, as far as I understand, Proton Ultimate paid plan gives 500GB across all the mail accounts AND Drive.
    This is silly and annoying... I have already asked for and voted for MUCH higher Drive data capacities (minimum 1TB) because 500GB is simply not adequate.
    But to then have to worry that the 15 email addresses I can use with my Proton Ultimate would start eating into my Drive data is crazy! If I value something enough to pay for cloud storage, I consider it IMPORTANT and don't want the possibility of a bunch of emails with heavy attachments causing…

  2. Obsidian Sync

    Obsidian is a very popular, open source notes tool that manages everything directly on the file system leaving it open to many different syncing options.

    Pairing Obsidian with a Proton Drive syncing option would create an excellent privacy focused notes solution. Obsidian has a plugin ecosystem that allows for additional functionality and by creating a Proton Drive sync option that could be utilized on both mobile and desktop applications you would simultaneously address a market need while expanding the scope of the drive offering to something on the level of a free office suite.

  3. Add "Copy to folder" in Proton Web

    Currently there is "Move to folder" feature. But to duplicate a file or folder you have to re-upload the entire thing.

    Use case: Assume you have folder "MyDocuments" of 50 GB and you want a second backup of "MyDocumentsOLD" as a sort of version control just in case you break something in MyDocuments or corrupt a zipped file.

    Problems with existing feature: It takes a LONG time to upload 50GB to Proton Drive. An internal Copy feature would be zero time for the user.

  4. Sync Timing - Preset specific time, date, frequency to sync files & folders to ProtonDrive

    What is missing and to make things infinitely easier is not only syncing which is CRITICAL, but to have functionality to set the frequency... continual on changes, specific days, daily, weekly, monthly, semi annual along with the time to do so. This could be extended to be a single upload to regular on the specified intervals. Given that a file size can be 200GB (full system back up for example) picking a time and date to upload such a file is important due to the time and bandwidth that this would take.

  7. Set a starting time/date for link in advance, download notification, download limit

    1. Let the user set a limit to the number of downloads of a document in the shared folder. Example: allow only one download or allow 5 downloads before the link expires.

    2. Set a post-dated date/time that a link to the shared folder is valid. Example: link is valid >starting< at a time/date set by the user and ending at a time/date set.

    3. Allow user to combine feature #1 and feature #2. Example: A link to a document in the shared folder is valid starting three days from the upload and expired four days thereafter, limited to two downloads total.

    We need at least 100GB. I don't want to use Onedrive or google drive because I really like Proton Drive, but 5GB is too small.Thanks

  9. Synology support

    Hi!

    I have a Synology NAS that can back up to off-site storage. While there are plenty of off-site solutions from Amazon, Google, etc., having it tied to an encrypted service like ProtonDrive would be great!

  10. Shared Drive for the company/Family/Org

    These features of the drive are so important to have:

    *shared company Drive (at least for all user under the same account)
    *to have traceability of who has accessed the document or
    an option for it to be viewed only and not downloaded
    perhaps even only allowed to be edited live on the shared drive
    *Option for only print allowed.

    Support transfers for SFTP. This could be as simple as a SFTP bridge, one end implementing SFTP, ther other the ProtonDrive bespoke API.

    This would allows me to use rsync and rclone.

    Show number of files and folders in folder and number of marked files.

    Examples:
    Nothing selected: "19 files / 5 folders"

  13. ProtonDrive bookmarks for folders to open them quickly

    It would be nice to be able to create some bookmarks that point directly to the most used folders. So you could access them very quickly.

  14. Additional columns/fields

    In addition to the leftmost column showing filename, I'd like to see the option to add user-selected additional columns (and sort or filter by them). examples: file size (or sum recursive folder size), file type, count of files in folder, etc.

  16. Transfer files from Dropbox

    I am excited for Proton Drive and watching its Beta progress. Most of my current cloud storage is on Dropbox. Hoping that Proton will introduce a feature that allows for transfer of files directly from Dropbox to Proton Drive, similar to the import contacts feature from other providers on Proton Mail. A feature like that will be critical to my being able to migrate my files to Proton Drive. Right now my file storage is too large to migrate via download to my desktop, without a laborious multi-step download.

  18. ProtonDrive Bridge

    With ProtonDrive, it would be nice if similar to how ProtonMail establishes a local mail server, if for ProtonDrive the bridge provided a local file server (WebDAV, etc.).

    I'd expect the bridge to handle encryption/decryption and then could easily integrate the drive into any local file manager, etc.

  19. More storage options

    Please offer an option to upgrade storage capacity without having to upgrade to the Visionary level. I would like more storage but I do not need additional users or addresses or domains.
