Swipe up to see photo details
When I view a photo inside the Proton Drive gallery, I want to swipe up to see details of the photo (date, camera infos, location) and a map that shows the location of the photo. It could look similar to iCloud.

Would be nice to not have every tool pop out into a new tab.
Please add the option to not pop out application into new tabs. Would be nice to have a home screen where you can switch through all application within one browser tab. For instance, make mail the home screen and have the other apps located on the side bar, then all you have to do is switch between the applications.

Be able to edit files using local apps and store back to Protondrive
Would be nice to be able to work with files directly in protondrive (in essence have protondrive as a folder on my computer). So I can open the files and save them back to PD.

Saved and existing images in the cloud
Images that have already been uploaded to the cloud should then be clearly visible under Photos. If you have many folders with images in the cloud, they should be organized and visible as albums under Photos. Otherwise, the feature is useless for many people.

Serait-il possible d'accéder directement (par exemple avec SSH, SFTP ou rsync) sans être contraint d'utiliser l'interface.
Je précise que j'apprécie l'ergonomie de l'interface actuelle, mais j'apprécierais de pouvoir synchroniser plus rapidement et automatiquement certains documents importants.
Would it be possible to access directly (e.g. with SSH, SFTP or rsync) without having to use the interface?
I should point out that I appreciate the ergonomics of the current interface, but I would appreciate being able to synchronise certain important documents more quickly and automatically.

Making possible deleting a video from the phone gallery before is completely uploaded in Proton Drive without gettin proton drive stuck
Every time I delete a video from my phone, before Proton drive has finished to upload it, the app remains stuck uploading that.
Please solve this, because if I delete a picture or a video, it means that I don't need it in Proton drive neither.4 votes -

Add "open preview in new tab" option for files in Drive.
Currently, when I'm viewing files in a folder (using my browser), let's say pdfs, double-clicking one will open the file preview in that tab. Occasionally, I might want to open multiple files and view them side by side (or in adjacent tabs), but there's no way to open any individual file "in a new tab", which means I have to open a new blank tab, go to Proton Drive, navigate my way through my folders to the file I want, and open the preview for the next file. Please do not allow two or more albums with same name
Currently you can have as many albums with the same name as you wish, but this is confusing. Things get worse when you take into account that you have no sorting or filtering for the albums, neither the option to add photos in one album picked from another album.
Please, fix this!

Add the possibility to not sync shared folders or encrypt on device
I would like the possibility to limit the Drive synchronization on any device of the person I share a folder or a document with, based on email accounts:
Person X can synchronize, Person Y cannot, can only access through a browser.It would also be nice to be able to limit the download of shared directories/files, on account bases.
Another solution / addition would be to systematically encrypt all the synchronized files/folder.
Since I don't know how secure the device of the person is, I believe that the current solutions put data at risk.

Download Folders or Files locally via the Proton Drive IOS App
The ability to download folders on the Proton Drive IOS app to local storage not just available offline in the Proton Drive IOS app.. Currently I have to share the folder I want and then visit the web link and then download the folder. This really gets rid of the need for the IOS app

Photos sections improvement in Mobile App
1) Make the Photos section also include all photos that are stored in the user’s other Drive folders, not only those that have been synced from the phone.
2) As it already works on the web version: allow users to upload photos directly from their device into the Photos section and also from the Albums section (currently you can only add to Albums photos that have already been synced).
3) Allow users to manually add a folder path for image files to be synchronized.

Why is it only possible to select 10 photos on iOS and upload them, while Android offers more options?

Add EXIF data "CreationDate" if not exists
Images and videos which do not have a "CreationDate" tag in its EXIF data heavily rely on the "DateLastChanged" tag in order to be sorted correctly. WhatsApp for instance does not ship that CreationDate tag with its media files.
This leads to the problem that images without this important EXIF data entry cannot be downloaded without the loss of any date information (because all other tags are changed to todays date).The idea is to set the "CreationDate" EXIF data if a media file does not have it at download time. Organize folders like "folders and labels" in Proton mail.
Under settings folders and labels in proton mail it is easy to organize how the folders is organized. it is easy to move up and down folders and keep an easy overview how it is organized. it should be the same way in proton drive.

Open and Save with external app, not rename to "file (1).txt"
Currently on Android we can only Send (makes a copy) but neither Save or Save As (over original) works for even a basic Text File. Since last century we've been able to overwrite/alter without cumbersome deletion of the original file first.

Backup of .TMP files
I recently learned through your Customer Support service that Proton Drive won't back up files with the .TMP extension, as it considers them temporary files.
The issue is, I have a program stored in my Proton Drive that contain files with a .TMP extension, but I know for a fact that they are not temporary, but essential for the program to work.
My suggestion is to either remove this restriction entirely, or to add a Settings option to allow users who select it to sync temporary files as well.

Replacing modified files on Proton Drive Android
Since currently the only way to modify a file on Android is to download it, modify it, and then upload it, the fact that when you upload the modified file, instead of replacing it, it duplicates it.
This makes things difficult because after the upload, you have to delete the previous file and rename the modified file.
It would therefore be very useful if, when you upload a file already in the cloud, it was replaced instead of being duplicated. This would make things much easier.
