IOS proton drive widget
It would be cool to have a Proton Drive widget on iOS. We could, for example, see the photos from the Drive.

Add support for "EaseUS ToDo Backup" tool CLOUD Backup feature
I use EaseUS ToDo Backup tool to perform a number of backups daily to my local NAS drive. With a recent drive failure, I decided to bump up my Proton plan and now have 3TB (combined) storage. I attempted to create new scheduled Backups to Proton's cloud DRIVE - assuming EaseUS supported it, but they don't YET.
I send the enhancement request to EaseUS and figured submitting it to Proton would increase the chances of this being accomplished.2 votes -
Kindle integration
For those with a Kindle, the only options for integrated cloud storage are Dropbox, Google Drive and One Drive. Would be great to have a more secure option with Proton Drive.
A small market of course, but thought to try by adding it here :)

Seedvault support on Android
I would like Proton Drive to be able to automatically back up Android data from Seedvault backups.
https://github.com/seedvault-app/seedvaultHere is the related issue preventing Proton Drive from working with Seedvault:

Docs: allow on-the-fly translation from Firefox or similar
Right now, trying to translate a published doc (view mode) using the built-in, privacy-first, Firefox feature, doesn't work. I ignore if this is a Firefox limitation, a structural limitation, or something Proton can work on, but it would be great if such feature, which I use because is run locally and respects privacy, could work.
I am working on something that at the moment I would like to publish as-is, allowing readers to translate on-the-fly (which is something that local LLM will empower in the near future) but I'm unable to do so.Proton Docs HTML exporting disrupts the neat…

Expand the file path
Please expand the file path to the far right, it is way too short to view much of the path which is frustrating and causes extra mouse clicks to get where I want to go.

Uncompress zip files online (in Proton Drive)
After taking out documents of Google Drive - you get huge ZIP files. I just want to upload them and decompress them inside the Proton Drive - not decompressing offline and then upload them all separate.

Proton docs - allow cropping of images within documents
Cropping and control image alignment with text would be extremely useful.

Prompt lumo in docs (with diff view)
I would like to make adjustments in Proton Docs with Lumo similar to ChatGpt Canvas mode. So I can prompt Lumo in Proton docs, and it makes the adjustment. Ideally, the adjustment gets highlighted as a diff, like with working with LLMs in Cursor or Windsurf, so I can accept or reject the changes.
This would allow me to ditch Chatgpt for writing docs. Because currently I copy often Proton docs into Chatgpt, iterate there via Canvas and then copy it back.

Support "Bring Your Own Storage" (BYOS) / Private Storage Nodes
Dear Proton Community and Development Team,
We, the undersigned, propose the introduction of a "Screwdriver Tier" that allows users to leverage Proton's world-class encryption and UI while hosting the physical data on their own hardware. This "Bring Your Own Storage" (BYOS) model would transform Proton into a secure bridge for private infrastructure.
1) The "Screwdriver" (Self-Hosted) Tier:
Private Storage Nodes: Allow users to connect local NAS (Network Attached Storage), home servers, or massive external drives to the Proton Drive ecosystem via an encrypted tunnel.
Proton as the Interface: Use the official Proton Drive web and mobile apps to browse, share,…

Ordering of Photo Albums and Creation of sub-Albums
In Proton Drive's Photos, please make it possible to order user-created Albums and to create sub-albums. Minimally, the albums should order by file name. As things stand, the user has no control over the order in which albums appear. It should also be possible to display them as a file list (not large icons). Use Apple's Photos as a model. I'm keen to abandon Apple's app (and all its irritating facial recognition and fake nostalgia), but no way, not until have have more control over my albums. Thank you

Sheets cell indenting
After using both Excel and Google sheets for years, the only feature I frequently miss in later is the ability to indent cells. This is very useful way to make clearly separate different level (Country, state, city) by just using column A instead of having to split them to multiple columns. This is especially in cases where the "upper level" is just sum of the lower levels (like in accounting reports).

Bug in partial column/row range selection
The sheets supports cell ranges C2:C7, column ranges C:E and row ranges in 3:7. And it does support also partial column/row ranges like C2:E or C2:5. I love this since it's really handy when creating forms that keeps expanding overtime.
But these partial ranges are not visualized correctly, the autocomplete tries to suggest functions and any place validating the formula (e.g. conditional formatting) fails to save it (properly).

Allow modifying Version History Per File
I'm on MacOS using ProtonDrive - because I cannot sync/backup my Documents folder with OneDrive, I wrote a script that zips my Document folder and uploads it to ProtonDrive. It works really well as a backup solution, except I was seeing me use up all my storage. After a bit of investigating, I realized that it was saving every version of the zipped backup (each backup is ~30G, so it was filling up quickly).
While I would like to keep the 180 day version history on all my files, I would like it to be possible to change this setting…

Webinterface Uploading: Create 1 folder, upload its files and subfolders, THEN create the next folder
Currently, when you upload folders in the webinterface, i.e. a fotos folder with 300 subfolders, drive first creates all 300 folders (why?) and then starts uploading into them.
The problem is: If a download fails or you close the browser accidentally, and you have to continue the upload, you have no idea what has been uploaded and what not. So you have to delete everything and start from scratch.
It would be better if the upload happens folder by folder so you can see where the upload was interrupted and can continue right there.1 vote -
Document formatting: Add support for superscript and subscript
It doesn’t seem possible to format superscript (e.g., “x²”) and subscript (e.g., “O₂”), which is made easy in e.g. Google Docs. Please add for easier and more complete formatting options.

LAN Sync
Allow devices on the same LAN that have files already downloaded to sync the data between them rather than going through the servers to improve syncing speed.
This is especially important because:
a) Syncing speed is very slow (as mentioned elsewhere) because it doesn't pipeline well for many small files.
b) If I change my password I have to re-sync EVERYTHING. I'd be happy if that changes too, because it's pretty crazy to re-download 100s of GB just because of a password change. But if that isn't possible for the security reasons then at least the sync speed should be…1 vote -
Import files and folder structures from Notion into drive in Proton docs format
It would be very nice if I could import my whole Notion documents/structure into drive, so I could use proton docs as a notion replacement.
I find the proton docs editor already very similar to the functionality of the notion editor (60% ?). I guess there are still several formatting options missing, but proton docs is already pretty similar, so i am asking for the notion import option.Maybe you could use some open source code from anytype, which is pretty close to notion, too.
