    Would love it if proton drive alows aif audio files preview. thats the main issue why i wouldn't switch from dropbox to proton

  2. Wifi only option for syncing all files on Android

    Currently uploading files / making files available offline uses whatever internet connection is available, including cellular. There should be an option to make these actions wifi only.

  3. Dedicated file / folder share option for Windows Explorer and Kubuntu Dolphin

    Currently it looks like the only way to share a file or folder is through the web app and only when copying a file link. Can we have a dedicated file/folder share option as an integrated option in our native browsers - Explorer for Windows or Dolphin in Kubuntu?

  4. 1 click to get back to root level of Proton Drive on iOS

    When navigating in Proton Drive in iOS, sometimes I just want to go right back to the top(root) level of the drive and have to keep clicking on the back arrow to navigate up to the root.

    Would be really nice if I could just click on the 'folder' icon on the bottom toolbar to bring me right back to the top level and use the back arrow for going up one level at a time.

    An alternative UI would be to click and hold on the back arrow to go to the top level but this might be less…

    Sometimes when I'm going to re-disload an image already up, it gets lowered, I get lower, fix that.

  8. Improve context menu with Proton icons

    The right-click menu already exists. It has options for "Always keep on device" and "Free up space". Neither of these options make it clear they come from ProtonDrive. Add a small icon to the left of the option title as many other programs do so users can associate the action with the corresponding program.

    Hi
    on Gmail, we can change wallpaper based on the photos on Google Drive and I hope ProtonMail can do the same thing with ProtonDrive. What do you think?

  10. Allow the android client to access cameras connected via USB directly.

    Right now, if you want to back up photos from a camera to your ProtonDrive account via a tablet, the most straightforward way is to import the images to the tablet, and then open the ProtonDrive app and upload them. I propose skipping the middle step and simply upload them from the camera directly to ProtonDrive.

    1. If you have an inexpensive tablet, the number of photos to backup might easily exceed the space available on the tablet.
    2. Such backups might be crucial for photojournalists using professional cameras in ares where security forces sometime confiscate cameras. The alternative is hiding the…

  11. Copy from device backup

    I have backup some devices with proto drive desktops app.

    But if i want to copy or move some file from m'y backup to m'y file in proto drive i need to reupload them.

    Maybe WE could have beter folder like or a Root folder, and subdirectory with my file and devices backup

  12. Notification icon and sound event for the Drive App

    The drive app should change its icon in the notification area, whenever a incoming change occured. Ideally we also would hear a short sound event, when changes are made from a remote work place.

  13. Activiy overview on Web UI as in the Windows app

    The Drive Web UI should show the Activity (document up/downloads etc.) just as in the Windows application. This is generally handy, but even more if you run crude sync setups and to be able to check status without being "on that machine".

  17. Make the Files button always go to root folder ("home")

    Proton Drive on iphone:
    I think the "files" button at the bottom should always take you to the root folder
    (same logic and function as on dropbox)

  18. 200 Gb upload to Drive

    I would like to upload my family pictures to Drive (I think it will be safety), and Now I upload on webpages but it's too slowly.
    Maybe ftp or something else upload version is it possible?

  19. Crucial information on reinstalltion is not documented, seriuosly impacting on what is cloud stored. Default setting not appropriate

    New features:
    * Relevant documentation
    * The removal process in the app should NOT have the default set to "Remove Proton Drive settings and previously remembered credentials"
    * Removal of a named folder from the list of folders that set to be synced is too simple.

    I could not find any documentation on this, only found out by multiple tests.

    If your plan is to reinstall the Proton Drive app and expect to return to syncing as before with all previous versions intact - Be careful.

  20. Sync files/folders only to Proton, exclude from being synced *to other devices*

    It would be super-helpful to be able to mark files and folders so that they cannot be synced to other devices (and are therefore only present on the source system as well as at Proton).

    This could be useful for sensitive data that exist on the source machine, need to be backed up, but also need to be prevented from inadvertently landing on other (perhaps less trusted) machines.

    Implementation is left open here, but could happen in various interesting ways. The most “natural” way I’d see is to navigate to Proton Drive, select a file or folder, then mark it…
