Photo albums needs love!
Photo albums currently have exactly zero options for sort customization. Please help!
The ability to sort by name or date ascending or descending would be greatly appreciated.
And album groups would be next level awesomeness. For example you could make a group called "Cats", but in it have different albums for each of your cats.
Keep up the amazing work!127 votes -
Bring back iPhone files integration
Hi,
Since Proton discreetly removed the Files integration on iPhone, it's much harder to work with multiple files from the Drive, which is not normal considering Proton is presented as a suite.
Even when sending files with the Proton Mail app, I can't access the Drive directly. I have to open Proton Drive and save the files one by one into folders first.14 votes -
photo location
Support location metadata for photo: show it in details and make it possible to correct coordinates or location. It should also be good to have automatic albums based on location.

Enable importing photos from Google Photos and Apple Photos
I want to be able to import photos in a batch when moving from Google Photos or Apple Photos as uploading with mobile Drive takes too long with bigger amount of photos and not all photos are in mobile to be uploaded due to memory limitations.

Lifetime Storage
Why not add lifetime storage purchases like PCloud?
Please make lifetime storage space available for purchase, starting from 100 GB to 2 TB, like PCloud.

View or Filter UNCATEGORISED Photos (those NOT in any Album).
For those of us who like to sort all of our photos into albums as we go along and may periodically wonder "Which ones haven't I filed anywhere yet?", I propose adding a view or filter of UNCATEGORISED Photos -- meaning, those not assigned to any album.
This could be a filter on the main Photos tab -- or it could be implemented as a "magic" Album that cannot be edited by the user and automatically provides a view of all of the photos that do not exist elsewhere.

Lightweight notetaking/todo app
I’m looking for a lightweight notetaking/todo app like Google Keep. I want to be able to write quick notes and organize lists (groceries, chores, tasks, etc.) in one place. It should stay in sync between my computer and my phone so I can add things anywhere. Markdown support would be great so I can bring my existing notes into it.
Thanks for considering this!

Show Photo Folder in "My Files"
There needs to be a way to see all photos in a list with at least filenames! I am stuck in the web interface so I don't need the slow thumbnail view I need a list so I can find all the "modified" duplicates and delete them.
The reason for this is to list all those _modified duplicate photos that drive created so they can be trashed to save space.

Tags or labels for files and folders
I would love to have the ability to better organize my files in Proton Drive by using labels or tags, independently from folders.
For example, being able to tag a file as both “Project A” and “Budget” would make it much easier to find and group related items across different folders. This feature already exists in Proton Mail and works wonderfully for organizing emails by topic or context — it makes daily use much more efficient.
Having a similar labeling system in Proton Drive would greatly enhance productivity, search, and overall organization, especially for users managing multiple projects or shared…61 votes -
Upload Photo Folders Directly as Albums
Allow users to upload an entire folder of photos directly into the Albums section so the folder is preserved as a single album. Currently, uploading a folder imports only the individual photos and removes the album structure, requiring each photo to be manually added back into an album. Preserving the folder-to-album structure during upload would significantly improve organization and save time.

Separate forums for Docs / Sheets / Photos
I reviewed all 34(!) pages of Proton Drive suggestions, for possibly making a suggestion on core Proton Drive functionality (user groups)... it is too much preparation before making a suggestion.
I propose to create 3 new forums, for Docs, Sheets and Photos respectively. There is some amount of duplicate suggestions too.

Immich like Photo features
Hello Proton,
Many users are missing decent Photo capabilites in Proton Drive. Lack of albums, shared albums, features like memories, places, face recognition, basic photo management like offloading images etc. All of these features are provided by the best tool released so far - Immich. Can Proton team consider deep diving into Immich and it's features to further enhance the Photo offerings?

Missing Core Spreadsheet Feature: Internal Sheet-to-Sheet Hyperlinks
Proton Sheets is currently missing a basic, foundational spreadsheet feature that has existed in Excel and Google Sheets for well over a decade: internal hyperlinks between sheets in the same spreadsheet.
Right now, it is not possible to create a clickable link in one sheet that navigates to another sheet within the same file.
Let me be absolutely clear about why this is a serious problem:
I routinely work with large, complex spreadsheets containing dozens to hundreds of sheets. These are not “toy” spreadsheets. They are operational frameworks, logs, dashboards, and documentation systems that must live inside a single file.

plain text editting
Proton Docs need the ability to edit simple, plain text files. Ideally, one should be given the option to open text files as text regardless of extension, as long as they are actual plain text files.
This will give the option to have and be able to edit a bunch of file types that can make proton drive more useful and versatile. For example, one can have a markdown notes folder in proton drive, or even a text-based database, or simply take some simple notes and sync across devices.
It does not need to have any complex features or even…
