1. I want to add VPN to my Mail Plus account and take advantage of the end of summer sale

   The end of summer sale is tempting but I already have products from other providers so I don't need the whole Unlimited offering. Besides which, after a year the price would escalate and I couldn't justify the expense. I want to add VPN to my existing Mail Plus account, preferably via the end of summer discount, but I can't find a way to do this. Why can't I have Mail Plus plus VPN? (I previously posted this on Reddit but I'm unable to view Proton's response for some reason)

2. Create a cheaper Unlimited Lite Plan

   12.99€ is a lot of money for a lot of people, but the Free plan might not be enough, so I’d really like to have a Unlimited lite plan that’s cheaper with less features

   Maybe only 100gb of cloud
   10 Calenders
   100 Simplelogin aliases
   5 VPN Users
   5 Emails
   That maybe priced at 7.99€ a month or 84€ per Year

   To make the switch from data stealing companies easier and cheaper for a lot of people who might not be able to pay 12.99 a month/ 120€ per Year or aren’t from a first world county where it can be a big percentage of salary, but still value their privacy and aren’t satisfied with the Free plan.

3. Visionary + Business Suite Plan

   I would like a combination of the Visunar plan and the business plan.
   A subscription where you can manage both features.
   I would consider it worth €150 a month for 10 users + 1 VPN IP server.
   The API key should be easier to manage.
   You should be able to delete the IP monitoring logs yourself.
   The business plan should have an admin account whose rights cannot be revoked by other admin accounts in the organization.

   I would like to test the beta features.

4. Shared folders for proton drive with business plans

   Add shared Folders or a Common proton drive for all proton users within a business plan of one company.

   It would be great to have a company wide proton drive where ieach folder can have access rights for a List of users.

5. Benefits + locking in long term users

   I was thinking of a good and healthy way for both users and company to support long term users.

   I got to this idea.

   Every year a customer has a subscription they get 1% more lifetime discount. (Until the subscription is cancelled)
   So after 1 year you get 1%
   2 years 2%
   That goes up to a maximum for example 25% after being a loyal customer for 25 years.
   Or 50% after 50 years that's up to the company what they feel good about.

   If you cancel your subscription once (or can't pay it) you lose all the build up discount earned and you need to start over.
   Upgrading plans to for example a family plan or downgrading a plan should be possible without losing the discount.
   If you downgrade to a completely free account you lose the discount.
   This way long term users will want to keep their earned discount by continuing the subscription. But they will also feel happy they are not forgotten and actually receive a cheaper price then newer users.

   The company ensures that they have paying users over the long term and the users have a very good discount the longer they stay.

   I'm also specifically talking about a discount because the company can still raise the base price of the subscriptions if they want or need to.

   Lastly I the company can still promote their products with a black Friday price giving them 50% or maybe the maximum discount earned after being loyal for x amount of years. But they will only get that price the first year and each account can only use that promotion once.
   That way they would need to make a new account and email every year if they want to keep getting the black Friday promo for example. (I think this happens now also from time to time)

   What do you guys think about this?

6. Purchase extra domains

   It was possible to purchase extra domains before the rebranding. I’d like to see that feature returned across all plans including Visionary, especially given the feature exists for business accounts.

   While I appreciate a lot of effort went into creating the current individual, family, and business plans, some of us have a lot of domains and are therefore forced to stick with less privacy friendly but more flexible email providers. Let me add as many as I need for $x per domain.

8. Lowest Cost Family Plan

   Guys - I would love to purchase and support Proton, but the pricing needs to be changed up. I'm not sure where y'all are at, but not all Americans are rich. My wife and I are both teachers. We keep all our important stuff in ProtonMail for security, but we have access to M365 and Google for free, and practically no limit on space or features.

   I would pay for Proton Mail - just because. If I could get everything for my family for something like $99 a year, I would do it. I think you would have a ton of sales pouring in if you did the family plan for $99. Sometimes the overwhelming sales will make up for any lost profit.

   Please - think about it!

   allow for a fee to upgrade to extra domains for the unlimited plan. I'd willing pay a small extra fee just to be able to come here instead of my now FREE google account where I have 5 domains.

   I might get more in the future but 3 is just simply too little :(

10. Onetime payment for lifetime Proton Unlimited

    There is some things I see that I would never use in the Mail plus/proton pass plan, but I really would like to just pay once. I like the idea of having a 50-99year "unlimited/lifetime" since once I'm gone you can either forward the logins to a designated person I say and give them 90 days to download the archive, or just shred/delete everything once I leave the earth.

    I despise monthly payments. Its the principal of it and the fact some cars have DLC for things already built into the car is crazy. Let me bite the bullet, and you can even let me pick and choose what I want vs not so you aren't wasting resources on features I'll never use. Also I could have 3 things hitting one account causing a possible overdraft over forgetfulness.

    I propose a Proton Unlimited Lite plan that bundles exactly those essentials:
    • Proton Mail (basic inbox)
    • 20–30 GB of Proton Drive for secure document backup
    • Proton Pass for password management (including 2FA)
    • Optional family add‑on so households can share the same subscription

    The current “Mail Pro” tier feels over‑engineered—too many email aliases and unnecessary features—while the full “Unlimited” suite advertises everything (500 GB, 10 VPN connections, crypto wallet, calendar, etc.) that most regular users will never use. By offering a streamlined “Lite” package, Proton could attract a broader audience that wants privacy without paying for features they don’t need. This would make Proton a truly viable mainstream alternative to the big U.S. providers.

12. Allow Proton Unlimited users to share Proton Pass vaults with more than two Proton Free users

    Proton Pass for Proton Unlimited users is currently advertised as allowing "Securely share vaults with other Proton Pass users" with "10 others". But if the other Proton Pass users are on Proton Free accounts, there is actually another limitation of only two Proton Free users per shared vault.

    Even though a Proton Unlimited user can send share invitations to more that two Proton Free users, after the second Free user accepts their invitation, any other Free user receives an error message stating "This vault has reached the limit of users", which is not true.

    That is not what is being advertised by Proton at all. According to the Pricing page and to the documentation, there are no such restrictions. Enforcing such restrictions is misleading.

    Moreover, such restrictions make no sense at all. Increased sharing limits for vaults is a Proton Unlimited feature, independent of other users' business relationships with Proton.

    Please consider lifting this limitation or rephrasing what is being advertised for Proton Unlimited users. For instance, it would be more accurate as "Any paid Proton Pass plan: Create and share up to 50 vaults, with up to 10 users per vault (including yourself and limited to two Proton Free users)".

19. Family plan with more VPN device slots

    I'm subscribed to Proton Unlimited and I'm already using 5 device slots in Proton VPN. I would love to upgrade to the family plan but the family plan still offers only 10 VPN device slots. Each of us have at least 3 devices so we'd love to have additional VPN slots even if it costs more.

20. Purchase multiple plans under 1 account

    I currently have a Proton Business plan with x users. However, not all users require all the features that come with Proton business, and I would like to purchase a Mail Essentials plan. I cannot do this for some reason.

    I would like the ability to purchase different tiers of plans under the same account.
