  1. Add Support for Liquid Glass on Apple Platform

    Dear Proton Team,

It would be awesome if you could apply Apple’s new Liquid Glass UI guidelines to your app, especially since you are redesigning the Mail app right now.

    Guidelines are here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/technologyoverviews/liquid-glass

  2. Proton Authenticator - Sort

In Proton Authenticator setup add two options for Sorting:

    1. Sort Order: none || alphabetical || TLD (top level domain) || date-created || last-used

, with additional ascending || descending option

    2. Show most recently used on top: On || Off

  3. Proton meet alias for organiser

I use email aliases extensively via SimpleLogin. If I send a Proton Meet invitation, however, it includes my real Proton Mail address. It should be possible to alias this, including setting a default alias

  4. One CLI for all of Proton Services (for humans and AI agents)

Feature Request: proton — One CLI for All Proton Services (for Humans & AI Agents)
Proton's suite of privacy-first services — Mail, Drive, Calendar, VPN, Pass, and Docs — is fragmented across separate apps with no unified programmatic interface. This makes it nearly impossible to automate workflows, build developer tooling, or integrate Proton services into AI agent pipelines.
The ask is simple: a single, composable command-line interface — proton — that covers all Proton services under one roof.
    Why this matters
Power users want to script their workflows. Developers want to build on top of Proton without reverse-engineering private APIs.…

  5. Offline editing support for Proton Docs files on Proton Drive apps.

In 2024, a suggestion for introducing offline editing support for documents in general on Proton Drive was published (see https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/48610982-offline-editing-support-for-documents-in-proton-dr).

I think this suggestion, while somewhat different, is now ever more critical with the introduction of Proton Docs in late 2025.

Please do, however, indicate whether this suggestion is best merged with the specified previous suggestion.

  6. Proton Spreadsheets: custom formatting of number cells

Would be nice if you could add custom formatting of number cells ('50' -> '50 g/kg', basically like currency but custom text)

  7. Proton Notes as a Complete Document and Knowledge System

I would like Proton to develop a fully integrated, privacy-first note and document system within the Proton ecosystem that can serve as a true Evernote alternative.

The key goal would be combining encrypted notes with embedded, searchable PDFs (including OCR) and structured folder organization in one unified system.

There is currently no European solution offering this level of integration, security, and document workflow in a single platform.

  8. Professional/Academic-level Writing Support in Proton Docs

I am working hard to de-Google, de-Meta, de-Amazon, and de-Microsoft my life. I would love to switch my word processing needs entirely over to Proton Docs, but I need to write at a high academic level, including things like postdoc applications, journal articles, and books, and the support for that just isn't there, especially in things like footnotes and references/bibliographies. I know there are a lot of free alternatives to MS Word out there, like Google Docs, but I want to know for a fact that my writing won't be scraped for AI training.

  9. Integrate Voice commands into Lumo AI

I hope that Lumo AI will have the ability to open android apps, and perform commands like opening spotify and being able to play/stop songs, or opening a browser and search for something.

  10. Modernize Standard Notes

In a market with consolidated competitors such as Obsidian, Anytype, AFFiNE, among others, it is essential that Standard Notes offers real-time collaboration features, in addition to the other editing functions of its competitors.

The dated interface is also a problem. When you look at the UI/UX of competitors, you can see how Standard Notes needs a design makeover to modernize it and get it out of that dated software look.

  11. Automatically sync Proton Meet meetings with Proton Calendar

Currently, I can set up a Proton Meet meeting in Proton Calendar, but it won't show up under "My meetings" in Proton Meet. Equally, if I set up a meeting in Proton Meet, it doesn't show in Proton Calendar. It would be great to have these two services talk to one another.

Well done for launching Proton Meet. It seems instantly stable, and generally working well. Thank you!

  12. Improve Proton Calendar notifications on Linux (sound, persistence, snooze)

On Linux (Ubuntu / GNOME), Proton Calendar notifications are easy to miss: they are transient, quiet, and disappear after a few seconds if you are away from the screen.

There is currently no way to:
    • enable audible alerts
    • make notifications persistent until dismissed
    • snooze calendar reminders

This makes Proton Calendar significantly less usable on Linux compared to mobile platforms and even basic desktop calendar apps.

Please consider improving Linux notifications by supporting one or more of the following:
    • notification sounds
    • persistent / actionable notifications
    • snooze support
    • better integration with Linux desktop notification standards…

  13. New Product Proposal: Lumen — A Proton Browser That Illuminates the Path to True Privacy

Imagine a web browser built with Proton’s guiding philosophy at its core — a platform where privacy, intelligence, and design coexist in harmony. This vision takes form as Lumen, a new kind of browser designed to unite Proton’s ecosystem into a single, secure experience.

The name Lumen means light or illumination, symbolizing clarity, transparency, and enlightenment — the very principles Proton stands for. It captures the essence of a browser that helps users navigate safely through the modern web’s dark corners while illuminating truth, privacy, and control. Lumen is more than a browsing tool; it is a guide — shedding…

  14. Integration with writing tablets

Privacy concerned users, such as journalists, would benefit from Proton Drive integration in emerging writing tablet devices.

Would love Proton to collaborate note and book annotation sync features with Amazon, Boox, Kobo, reMarkable, and other prominent writing tablet manufacturers. Too many of these devices vendor lock notes inside proprietary, non-endtoend encrypted services, with only manual export options.

  15. Bug — Lumo 2.0 Randomly Switches to Chinese Mid-Conversation

Title: Bug — Lumo 2.0 Randomly Switches to Chinese Mid-Conversation
    Category: Lumo / Bug Report

    Description:

Lumo 2.0 intermittently switches entire responses to Chinese during English-language conversations. This is not isolated — multiple users have reported the same behavior across Reddit (r/lumo, r/ProtonMail) with the issue persisting since at least Lumo 1.1 through the current 2.0 release.

    Reproduction Pattern:

    Conversation language: English (exclusively)
Trigger: Appears to occur most frequently during responses containing dense structured data (comparison tables, pricing breakdowns, URLs, multi-section formatting)
Context usage: Both occurrences happened at high context usage (~73%)
Frequency: Twice within three consecutive prompts in a

  16. Add Proton apps to Flathub and GNOME Software

Making Proton's apps available on the app stores that Linux users use will make it easier and safer for users to find and download Proton apps and eliminate the risk of visiting sketchy websites to download the official Proton apps. The respective app store websites are linked below for reference.
    - Flathub: https://flathub.org/
    - GNOME Software: https://apps.gnome.org/Software/

  17. Proton Pay: Safe and secure payment processor as alternative for Gpay/ApplePay

    Hello Dev-Team,

I'm not happy with the limitation to big-data collectors when I want to use my smartphone for payments in the supermarket.
Is there a way to tamper the payment or develop an own payment processing system?

  20. Encrypted Backup of all Proton data (like Standard Notes Backup)

An option to create an encrypted Backup of all Proton Account data (probably most important are Mail, Pass, Drive and Wallet) which can be downloaded as a File and be decrypted locally with an open-source (FLOSS) software Proton provides and the Proton Account Password (resp. the Decryption Password if two-password-mode is active).

This feature should work exactly the same way as the backup option of Standard Notes does (https://standardnotes.com/help/14/how-do-i-create-and-import-backups-of-my-standard-notes-data):

    • Basicly give the user the data the way you (Proton) see it (fully encrypted with the, to you unknown, Account password)
    • Make it possible for the user to decrypt the…
