   Please begin a VoIP hosting service. If ProtonMail had VoIP that I could use both on my computer and phone, then I would no longer have any use for Google and I could be done once and for all. Even though GVoice is free, it seems their active listening suggests stuff related to my texts and conversations across my devices and it is creepy. I would gladly pay for a service that doesn't do this. Pretty, pretty please! Thank you.

2. Desktop App Packaged for Arch Linux and Others

   I see that there is a desktop app packaged for Debian and Fedora based distros. It would be great to have a desktop app that could be installed directly as an Arch package. Alternatively, a flatpack, AppImage, homebrew package, or some other distro agnostic binary would be useful, too.

3. Enhanced email formatting features

   Proton's email formatting features are too limited for Proton to be the world's leading secure email provider.

   I suggest that Proton have at look at Zoho's and Gmail's formatting suites. For example, emails look much better and are more readable when the content area is narrowed and centered on the page (needs "deep" indent feature).

   Line spacing and undo features are most valuable, too. These are must have basics.

7. Include Android APKs in all GitHub releases

   For Proton Mail it's already being done:
   https://github.com/ProtonMail/proton-mail-android/releases

   I'd like to see GitHub releases with attached APKs for all other Android apps as well.
   This would be really helpful for people using Obtainium & similar tools.

8. Lumo android app must not require google account

   The Lumo AI app can't be used if the Android phone is not associated with a logged in Google account. This is quite bad for people that ditched Google in favor of Proton mail/calendar/drive/docs.

10. App Tracking Prevention

    DuckDuckGo has this great feature where it essentially runs a VPN but it blocks traffic from devices from being sent out. So, when a data tracking engines (e.g., Google, Adobe, Amplitude, Branch Metrics) attempt to send personal data from your device DuckDuckGo blocks it.

    If Proton incorporated the same concept into the VPN then it would be an even more effective product!

    This seems a fairly simple ask: one single 'Proton' app (iOS or Android). This would include Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Drive etc (all except VPN which is fine to remain separate). Similar to the FastMail approach.This is the simplest, easiest, fastest, slickest way to combine all Proton apps and functionality into one single ecosystem, as per the latest blog post following the results of the user survey. I cannot commit to migrating to Proton fully without this and i'm fairly sure i'm not the only one. I'd sign up for a 5 year subscription with this available. Many thanks all - keep up the good work

16. Open up Lumo

    I am not a hater of AI, but the handling of Lumos launch is disastrous to say the least.

    Never ever release a product, call it open and then have no code and no information available about it. Basing something upon something open doesn't make it open itself. Saying so is literally lying and is eroding trust.

    Neither do we know, what models Lumo uses, nor do we have access to any part of its code right now. It's a giant blackbox.

    Please open up the code and training weights, adhering to the OSI definition of open AI.
    Ideally make it available for running locally.

    I'm in favor of the vision you outlined in your launch blog post, but your actions seem to speak another language.

17. Proton messenger

    Probably I'm too obvious but I do not understand why don't you work (or maybe u do) on Proton Messenger. War in my country has shown that you need a secure message exchange system. The best messenger on the market is Telegram. It is really the best one, no one is even close from all of the points of view except security, because they do nothing to prove they don't work with the Russian government. And basically, there is indirect evidence that they have some collaboration with FSB.
    I trust Signal but it is a disaster from a UX perspective. Same as Watsup, Viber..... etc.

18. More advanced mail search

    The current Proton mail search is barely usable, even on web with the advanced search options. iOS app is worse.

    A few features in my mind:

    1. Multi-word search string — e.g. "my order" so every hit must match both words in that order, to avoid getting a lot of false hits that mention both "my" and "order" in different parts of the subject.

    2. Search by subject only — currently I can only search by sender only, or recipient only, but not, but I get lots of false hits if the term I am searching is a common email address. Try search for an email with "gmail" in the subject, and you will just get every mail sent by gmail. Or searching for "best" will yield all emails from "bestbuy.com".

    3. Search by multiple folders – currently I can only search by one folder at a time. Imagine I have a few folders of similar and sometimes overlapping purposes (e.g. bank, tax, insurance) I might have misclassified an ambiguous mail under the wrong folder so I might want to search for all folders when I am desperate.

    4. Search a mailbox tree – currently I can only search mails in a folder, not a folder and all its descendants. Imagine if I have a Bank folder and one subfolder for each bank, I cannot easily search among all bank emails.

    5. Search for mails not belonging to a mailbox (or multiple, or tree) – this is really useful to locate mails (e.g. all from the given sender) not already classified into the folder. Without this and without "select all mails found by the search, not just the first 200 showing on screen" makes it impossible locate mails currently misclassified into a wrong folder.

    It would be nice to see proton come out with their own notification carrier services. Especially if you are using a phone operating system without google play carrier services/ apple and can't receive push notifications.

20. Acquire Obsidian! Would be a game changers for full privacy suite

    New Documents feature really opened an opportunity for me to get away from Google and Microsoft and enjoy privacy.

    Its a great start but limited. Just throwing out the idea, what if Proton acquired or partnered with Obsidian https://obsidian.md/ another privacy first organization.

    This would be a game changer. Please consider.
