There have been several requests for the ability to set proton drive as the default location for libreoffice documents - much like the Office suite defaults to onedrive. The explanation for why we cannot have this is the encryption requirements for proton drive - fair enough - but Proton Mail Bridge provides a "bridge" service that permits local mail clients to interact with proton mail services. Could not this same be done for office applications? You could rebrand the Mail Bridge simply as "Bridge" and add functionality that would also allow us to set our office applications to default to the bridge and let it handle the data encryption and transit functions to the drive? Not sure if this request should be in the Mail section or Drive section but I put it here.

This would make Proton a carrier under US law and subject them to CALEA and other Federal regulations that would significantly weaken privacy for all of us.

From their own site - they need support from a Swiss-based organization...
"Currently, OpenBoard is maintained by the Education Department (DIP) of the canton of Geneva, in Switzerland. The University of Lausanne, who developped the original Uniboard software in 2003 has joined the effort by means of a logistical and financial contribution. An association project will be developed in 2019.
A meeting was held in June 2016 between representatives from the universities of Lausanne, Neuchâtel, Fribourg and Geneva, the departments of Education from the cantons of Geneva and Jura as well as various institutions from the canton of Vaud (Switzerland) to together reflect on the desired evolution of OpenBoard.
Interest is growing fast across Switzerland but also in Europe and North America. A swiss law non-profit organisation should be created. This organisation would promote OpenBoard and its open source development and foster collaboration between interested parties. This in respect of the core principles which led to the creation of this fork, that is the refocusing on the work of a teacher in a classroom, privileging the ease of use."

Or add a tailscale-like feature to Proton allowing the same chaining through Proton rather than Tailscale

On the desktop version you can right click the name and get an edit option. I cannot edit with the android version though and it would be useful to be able to edit without having to resort to desktop
