People are dying to move away from Google and Apple, but today it requires you to be too tech saavy to move ecosystems and get the right apps on say GrapheneOS. Even my wife who hates technology got excited when she heard Graphene OS and similar existed, but the learning curve to get it and apps is too great for the average person.

A private competitor based off of ChromeOS seems like it would be attainable. For most people a Chromebook with quality hardware is plenty sufficient, but being locked into the Google ecosystem, Google accounts, etc. is a dealbreaker.

- Share and invite anyone — Invite other users to view or edit your documents with a single click.
- Collaborate in real-time — Changes are reflected immediately, ensuring every contributor always sees the most up-to-date version.
- View cursors and presence indicators — See who else is viewing or editing the document, enhancing teamwork and communication.
- Leave comments and replies — Add comments to share feedback without editing the document. Comments are visible to all collaborators, keeping everyone in the loop.
- Import and export with ease — You can upload .docx documents, edit them, and download in various formats like .docx, .txt, .md, and HTML.

I’m really trying to get off of everything MS.
Proton drive now supports photo backup in android (grapheneOS), and soon to iOS.
Office suite I can deal with liber office.
OneNote however there’s zero alternatives that make sense for me. Standard Notes is more expensive than what I pay for the entire MS suite.
I think OneNote is my last holdout for MS, and after that I can cut it, so please offer some alternative that at least let’s me store some type of notes in drive so I can access and edit from multiple devices.
