Obviously I ask for this feature primarily and equally for any windowed operating systems, such as Linux or MacOSX.
Secondary but related, perhaps even the Android devices that have support for windowed UI - although I suspect this is a different client and therefor a different feature request.

Workaround: in ProtonMail click the attachment using any download/open button, then cancel.
You wont see this explaned by ProtonMail app, but this file IS saved to your device, even if you had no app to open it.
Now any other (file manager, or other file loading) app can find it in recent or dow load files.

The attachments should be openable in any application that manages files. Now JPEG XLSX JSON and PDF attachements can only be opened in a few apps, and NOT SAVED to your device.
How am I supposed to download the XLSX so I can upload it in some other app/site?
ProtonMail does not even allow me to open it in ProtonDrive or Files on Android.

Conversation view enabled me to migrate from Gmail to Proton. I pay for it but it is still broken and not on-par.
I have emails by different people/organisations being grouped because they have the same short subject.
This likewise results in the carefully crafted labels that should be different, to show merged into one conversation.- and on the other hand -
I have multiple people reply to the same email thread, and they do not show up as one conversation.
This likewise results in each of those conversations being oncomplete.
This likewise results in each of those conversations not folding as expected, showing lots of duplicate information.Ofcourse I started looking for a "split from conversation" or "merge into conversation" button to fix the conversations/emails I selected. I was hoping to help Proton learn with bigdata eventually, and resolve my immediate problem, but this feature does not exist.

Currently, when I switch in ProtonMail from mail to calendar view AND BACK, the entire search result (or email) window that was open, IS FORGOTTEN. Navigating back results in seeing the INBOX. I consider this a BUG but lets just mention it here. I must have overlooked something, right?
I am quite surprised that ProtonMail lacks the most basic usability features (see above) and I welcome any insights about what feature to achieve the above I am overlooking here.
I tried "starting" ProtonMail twice on my OS but it does not result in two windows to utilize. The WEB version is way better in this regard but lacks the full secure search functionality I need.
