This is very important, and should be well integrated with Proton's other services. I can think of many use cases. Just to mention one: On proton drive you could sell documents that are shared to others when they pay you some sats.

I agree to this and all the comments. I just don't think the desktop files (in ~/Desktop) are more important than other directories. So I suggest the sync should be configurable. E.g. add a ~/.proton/drive/sync file in which you list all files and directories that should be synced (with possibility to also add exceptions). This method also makes it easy to update the configuration via scripts (provided the config file is well structured). Some notification feature added to this would also be nice, e.g. if you remove, move or rename a directory or file which is on the sync list.

There seem to be similar ideas posted already. I'd prefer a way to set preferred notifications (more than one, e.g. 2.5h and 30m) as default values.

I agree to some extent. There are a lot of good suggestions in this forum regarding basic functionalities. But at the same time I wish Proton would work ******* crypto currency (especially BTC and LN).
It's a question about Proton's capacity, development costs money. To get more money, Proton needs more paying customers. Some suggestions:
1. Instead of just voting here in the forum, Proton could add the possibility for us to pay for our votes (using crypto of course :-)) for the ideas we want to promote.
2. Proton should market their services more aggressively. F.x. Axcrypt is a lousy product but they have paying customers - try to steal them! Shouldn't be that hard because Axcrypt doesn't have so many integrated services and their UI/UX really sux.
3. Integrate Proton's crypto services with Bisq, since that's a unique crypto trading service without KYC, but their UI/UX is not as nice as Proton's. Perhaps Proton could also integrate with the Brave browser wallet since their UI/UX is also not very good.
