100% agreed, please give us an option to choose most recent to be on top or bottom

Settings → Appearance → Under "Other" → "Conversation grouping"

I hope that for Conversation grouping, there be an option for displaying emails in either chronological or reverse-chronological order. Now all emails are shown in chronological order (newest at the bottom).

I agree - it makes a lot more sense to have the most recent message at the top of the conversation rather than at the bottom.
Some like it one way, some the other so an option to swtich between them would be a great addition to the new UI.

There is a choice to sort messages in folders by oldest first or newest first, but there doesn't seem to be choice for how messages in a conversation are displayed.

I agree this should be the default option for conversation view sorting. Hope the Proton mail dev team looks at this soon. At least give an option for sorting so the user can choose.

Hard to believe we are still waiting for this. Having the latest conversation on top is the default for any email service out there. It just makes so much more sense. I really hope the ProtonTeam is working on this.

Please add an option to sort the messages in the conversations pane so that the newest is at the top.

It doesn't make sense to allow us to sort the inbox with newest to the top but insist on putting the newest message to the bottom when you choose a conversation.

and also to have the conversion shown in the inbox accroding to the latest email in the conversation.

I too am used to seeing newest replies on top, oldest replies on the bottom, the same chronological order I use for my Inbox sorting.

I can't seem (or see how) to change this when viewing threaded emails AKA Conversation Grouping.

This is nearly three years old, any possibility of having this added?

I was looking for a way to do this, and a bit of CSS is enough.
Go to Settings > Appearance, and in the field "Custom Theme" add this :

I would be great to have it.
Currently I have conversation with > 10 messages and it gets bigger and bigger. Every time I want to see update I have to scroll to bottom to see most recent mail.
