  1. Blur event names

When I want to make arrangements with someone, I sometimes send a screenshot of my weekly view. Then I have to blur out each event name using an image editing program. It would be helpful if there were a feature (an icon with an open and a closed eye) that lets you blur out all event names. I’m thinking of a feature similar to the one in a banking app that lets you hide account balances.

Then I could blur out all appointment names with a single click and create a privacy-compliant screenshot to send to someone I want to…

  2. different weekday/weekend colors in month view

When looking at the month view in proton calendar, I'd like to have specific days of the week (columns) shaded slightly darker. Specifically, shading the weekends as slightly darker make it easier to visualize my weekends. Additionally, for those that don't work Monday-Friday, it would be great to be able to choose which days of the week should be shaded darker.

  3. 🏊‍♀️Swimlanes🏊

    Hello

I personally don't get a lot out of folders and labels. I find I just let it fall out of usefulness if I don't spend more time managing it than I do actually answering emails. I am sure some people are really good at it, but it's just now a good representation of my own mental model for these things. I might as well delete something if it's in a folder and not prominently visible.

I'm looking at coming over from GMail and the tabs are actually what I'll miss most, but even they are kind of limited to…

  4. Duplicating events on mobile

I would like to be able to duplicate events on the mobile app like the Windows desktop app. I have appointments that reoccur on an irregular schedule and I am scheduling the appointments when I am not at my computer. My current workaround is to write the appointment down with pen and paper and hope I remember when I get home. I have forgotten to copy the pen and paper reminder into my Proton Calendar and missed appointments as a result. Kinda defeats the purpose of a calendar app if I am missing appointments.

  5. Remove elipses in titles of all-day-events

In the week-view of Proton Calendar, the titles of all-day-events end with an elipsis (...) when they are too long to be displayed completely. But these elipses take over so much space that it gets hard to read the actual title! For example some events in my calendar look like this:

    • "🧽 cl..."
    • "Visit..."
    • "Call..."

Instead of displaying an elipsis, Proton Calendar should display as much of the title as possible. Then these events would look like this:
    - "🧽 clean"
    - "Visit Gran "
    - "Call Deb"

This is how it works with the month-view. Let's also mae make…

  6. Option to set a default startup folder (e.g., "All Mail") on the mobile app

I would like to request a setting in the mobile app that allows users to choose which folder opens by default when launching the app, rather than being forced to start in the main "Inbox."

    My Use Case:
I heavily utilise Proton's filtering rules to sort emails from my various addresses into different custom folders. Because these filters route mail away from the main Inbox, my Inbox is often empty. To actually see my new mail, I have to manually navigate to the "All Mail" tab every single time I open the app.

Adding a simple toggle in the settings…

  8. Additional Options for Booking Page

    Add to booking page:
    - Buffer times before and after meetings to avoid back-to-back meetings
    - Add maximum number of meetings per day, per week
    - Allow adding more people to the appointment
    - Ask booker's Time Zone. Currently the email that the person receives has in the subject the time in my time zone, which is not necessarily his/her time zone. This has already confused some of my clients and missed meetings. Even though it was correctly set in their calendar. The subject of the confirmation email has importance.

  9. Quick-add sender to existing filter rules from inbox/message view via groups

Currently, managing multiple senders for a single filter rule is tedious. Using groups in filters can solve this. This would save significant time for power users managing multiple sender rules.

Use Case: I have a folder named "Travel" with a filter that moves all emails from expedia.com. Today, I receive an important email from a specific airline.

Current Workflow: I see the email → Click three dots → Search for filter settings → Navigate to Settings → Open Filters → Find "Travel" rule → Edit Condition → Add special-airlines.com → Save.
Proposed Workflow: I see the email → Right-click sender

  10. Allow mail filter rules to supercede spam rules

Currently received emails still arrive in Spam, even if there is a rule to delete them. This results in a cluttered Spam box. And Spam is something you need to check every few days to see if important emails were miscategorized.

Add a checkbox to mail filter rule settings that says it supercedes spam priority to prevent this problem. Gmail correctly does the mail filter rule check BEFORE the spam check, so emails arrive in the right place always.

  11. Route calendar invitations to the calendar associated with the recipient address

Route calendar invitations to the calendar associated with the recipient address
Currently, all incoming calendar invitations are added to the default calendar, regardless of which email address they were sent to.
Requested behaviour: Allow users to configure, per email address, which calendar should receive invitations sent to that address. This setting should live at the mailbox/identity level (e.g. in account settings under each address).
Use case: A user with a personal address (e.g. user@proton.me) and a custom-domain business address maintains separate personal and work calendars. Invitations sent to the personal address should land in the personal calendar; invitations sent…

  12. Protonmail: Move "Labels" to be on top of "Categories" in the left side pane.

Many users use categories to archive emails and labels to tag emails for followup. Currently, one must scroll past all the categories before being able to see the labels. Providing an option for the user to place labels above categories would make protonmail more user friendly.

  13. New account from existing email address, previously under the main user account.

Allow an existing email address under the main user account to be "moved" or changed to be a new account.

This should include the ability to take all emails that were sent to/from that email address and place them into mailboxes for the new account.

For example, someone has been using an email address for a business purpose. They have a Proton business account and created a email address under their account for use with business purposes. Later on they decide to create and account strictly for business use (that may need to be shared with an assistant). It would…

  14. Find related feature

Please add a feature where the user can select an email and find related emails based on either having the same subject or being from a particular sender. This feature is present in many applications, and MS Outlook is one example. The idea is to have option to select all emails from a particular sender or on a particular topic/subject.

  15. Have two-way sync between Proton Calendar and Vivaldi browser's calendar function.

I have grown accustomed to using Proton Mail in Vivaldi browser (thank you for finally allowing this!) but I still lack the ability to have a two-way sync between my Proton Calendar and Vivaldi's calendar function. It would be great to have the ability to do this. Vivaldi is so much better than Thunderbird in my view.

  16. Exclude deleted email from the inbox view

Currently, the inbox shows the email threads that are already deleted and remain in the trashbin. It is unfriendly to see all the deleted email rolled in the top of the new email.

  17. Raise the number of possible filters active at the same time

I am so so far from having set up all of the filters I need for my emails and there's a maximum number of them? I'm a paying customer. We should be able to have an unlimited number.
Especially since @domain.com filters don't work, you can only filter full email addresses for the label filter to correctly function.

  19. Improve keyboard navigation in Mail Desktop Application

Improve keyboard navigation in Mail Desktop Application

    Current behavior:

When using the Proton Mail desktop application in split view, selecting an email displays the message preview in the reading pane.

As a keyboard-oriented user, I expect pressing the Down Arrow key to move directly to the next email in the message list while keeping the preview pane synchronized with the selected message.

Instead, the focus appears to move into the preview pane. Pressing the Down Arrow key scrolls the content of the currently opened email rather than selecting the next email. This creates a confusing and inefficient workflow.

    Expected behavior:

  20. Re Calendar/Booking: Please Offer Phone number instead of solely Email address.

When the Calendar/Booking app is rolled-out please include a phone number option instead of email for those scheduling on the Booking link. Also, with a direct pop-up when a time is scheduled. Note: outside of North America the rest of the world uses Whatsapp the most. Please make everything related to phone use Whatsapp friendly.
