Dedicated gmail Import Tool / Feature (Without Using The Bridge)
Please provide a stand alone method to import all gmail message history, without the use of a bridge. So many of us would like to completely leave gmail behind, but cannot because we still rely on the message history in old gmail accounts.
I don't want to download the message history to a computer. I want to transfer all messages directly to folders in my active PM accounts, where I can access them at any time within my PM accounts. Thanks.
4,735 votesWe’re happy to announce that this feature is now complete. You can test it on beta. Don’t hesitate to send us your feedback. We would love to hear it.

Allow PGP encrypted mails to non protonmail contacts
If I want to send an encrypted mail to a non protonmail E-Mail address I can't do that right now (I mean besides that link thing)
Please add in the contacts section a way to upload the public key of a non protonmail user. That way we would be capable to send and receive PGP (GnuPG) encyrpted mails from others.
3,263 votesToday we’ve launched Address Verification, full PGP support, and a public key server! Now ProtonMail is even more convenient to use and secure against attacks. Learn more: https://protonmail.com/blog/address-verification-pgp-support/

catch-all support for custom domains
With the addition of custom domain support, I really would love the option to have a catch-all email address, as I've been using that feature a LOT on my current/previous hoster.
I vastly prefer that over the account+alias@protonmail.com feature, as using that would require me to change all the places where I used all those other email addresses.
2,572 votesYou can now set a catch-all address on custom domains. Thank you for the suggestion!

The ability to search the contents of emails, not just the Subject
It is a deal killer for business use to not be able to search the contents of emails Vs just subject titles. Combine that with the TERRIBLE conversation thread that will not open ALL messages at the same time and PM may be doing great engineering but poor client business development.
2,380 votesThe ProtonMail Bridge supports this by allowing ProtonMail to work with any Desktop email client so full text search can be performed locally without compromising the end-to-end encryption.

Being able to create custom folders
You seem to believe that the ability to add folders is "Completed" by telling people to use labels. Color labels just don't cut it.
All the emails will still reside in my inbox or archive. Every other internet email service offers the option to create custom folders, why not Protonmail? This issue has come up again and again from the start.

Bridge Desktop App
I know that Protonmail can't integrate with existing desktop mail apps, such as Apple Mail our Outlook, because of the extra passwords. However, I'm not a fan of having to access Protonmail through my browser. Is it possible to build a desktop app with similar functionality to Apple Mail our Outlook (minus the extras, such as calendar integration etc... although that would be nice too)? If you guys build an iphone app, for example, then I don't see it as a huge step to move on to a Mac OS app after that.

Undo Send
Implement a 'send email delay' when you press Send button it does not send email immediately, just with a slight 5 to 10 second delay, or ability to cancel sending an email after I press Send button.
Just like Google has in its Gmail.1,515 votes -
User Controlled Email Filtering
I would like to be able to set up email filters such as those available on GMail and other mail services. I receive many spam emails that are not marked as spam and my inbox is constantly filled with junk mail from a few senders. It would be useful to be able to send emails to trash based on sender or specific keywords.
1,433 votesFull Email Filtering has been released in Version 3.4. You can learn more here: https://protonmail.com/blog/protonmail-v3-4-release-notes/.

Removing accounts after some time of inactivity and Recycling usernames are bad ideas.
Email is not only a communication tool, but probably more importantly an internet identity. People use their email to open accounts on websites. If an email address is deleted and reused by another user, then all personal data bonded with that email address is lost and at risk.
As I know gmail doesn't recycle email addresses. That's a considerate idea.1,345 votes -
ProtonMail Bridge for Linux
I don't have a Windows or OSX machine, so ProtonMail Bridge doesn't appear to be an option for me. Is there any way Bridge for Linux could happen? The site says it's coming soon, but when is soon?

Contact Groups
We need to be able to group contacts, with the option to send mail to specific groups. The ability to add a group to the TO: field is a must as well, there is no way to add multiple contacts at the moment. This is a necessary feature that I have seen in every email service I have used.
