Make Dropdown Menus in Proton Sheets More Usable
Something akin to Google Sheets dropdown menus would be greatly appreciated. Separating by selected cell range instead of the whole sheet like one person said, the ability to select multiple options from the dropdown menu, edit how the dropdown appears (bubble, carrot, nothing, etc.), and other features that Google sheets has. This is the only other thing keeping me with google sheets right now because their dropdown menus are my lifeblood.

Live Picture Download
Support the ability to download live photos that are stored in proton drive as live photos. Currently you can save live photos and see them live in proton drive. But if you download the live photo to your phone it doesn't save as a live photo.

"Not in Any Album" Header button
Albums a great but there is no way to see which photos are in an album or not.
Adding a selector in the header to filter and show the just ones not in an album would make it easier to manage organizing them10 votes -

Allow creating folder-pairs to sync
Allow us to define folder-pairs such that user can select one folder in the local device to pair with a folder on the cloud storage and sync the two, either unidirectionally, or bidirectionally.
This will allow users great flexibility in defining what folders/files they want to sync across their various machines.
Examples of where this has been done effectively: OneSync app on Android, DropSync app on Android.

Proton drive shared link for MacOS
I am trying Proton drive app on MacOS 15.6.1, and while opening the file or folder contextual menu on the Proton, I don't see the option to create a share link on any file or folder, it is only possible to do it from the Proton drive web page, but it takes extra time and clicks, will this feature come soon? this is a very used feature and other products have this functionality, onedrive, dropbox..

Access photo as any other directory of the Drive
Photos and usual Drive seems to be orthogonal, it would be awesome to be able to have the Photos as any other directory in the Drive.
So far, I have my automatic backup of photos from the phone that lands in the Photos part and my legacy photos that are well organized altogether in a directory on my Drive. It would be great to have everything accessible as a directory.

Sorting options in upload list (by date, name, size)
When uploading files to Drive (at least in the web version), there is a panel that shows the list of current uploads. It would be really helpful if this list could be sorted — by date, name, or size. Even just sorting by date (A→Z / Z→A) would make it easier to see what was uploaded first/last and keep track of order.
In the uploads panel we currently have: All, Active, Completed, and Failed. It would be really helpful to also have a 'Queued' category. Sometimes uploads stack up, and it's hard to tell what's waiting vs what's actually transferring.…

Grid view option for share links
When opening a folder shared via a link, the files are presented in list view. There is no option for grid view. It would be nice to have the option to switch to grid view.
Users with Proton accounts can save the shared folder and view it from the "Shared with me" tab in Proton Drive. There it is possible to choose grid view. Users without Proton accounts do not have this option.

Column view for folders
Problem: it is currently quite slow to explore folder structures with a lot of nested folders (this typically happens in professional structures).
I would love to see a "column view" that would allow me to quickly navigate deep folder structures using my keyboard (arrows). It would be wonderful to pre-load the tree of folders / files to skip making a call to the API every time I browse a new folder

Add a better visualization of the space used on my drive
It would be helpful to better understand what's taking up the most space, the photos, which folder on my computer, and which service: Mail, Drive, Calendar...

Sheets: Better support for manually inputting durations
I really like that Proton Sheets properly supports time-only data and durations. However, manually inputting a duration is a bit of a hassle, as the underlying data seems to be in fractions of a day: If I want my duration cell to display e.g. "8:00:00", I have to input 0.33333 or =8/24. It would be nice if Sheets recognized some common time durations, so that e.g. 8h, 8h30, 8.5h or 8:30 is converted to the proper duration value.

Native macOS Profile Folder Redirection (Desktop, Documents, etc.) to Proton Drive
Requesting native support for redirecting macOS user profile folders, such as Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, and other standard home folders, into Proton Drive. Similar to how iCloud Drive and OneDrive offer “Desktop & Documents” integration.
Use case / problem:
Today, Proton Drive works well as a secure storage location, but it does not integrate deeply with the macOS file system. This means files saved to common locations like Desktop or Documents do not automatically sync to Proton Drive unless users manually move them. For many users (families and small businesses especially), this creates friction and increases the risk that important…8 votes -
Proton Docs: Different Bullet Points for Different Levels of Indentation
For example, the default bullet is the filled-in circle (●), and if I press "tab" to indent, the bullet becomes the outline-only circle (○), and if I press "tab" again, the bullet becomes a square (■), etc. Currently, we only have 2 different types of bullets.

Add a setting to set additional paths for automatic photo backup
Currently, the automatic photo backup feature on Android only looks for photos in the Camera and Screenshots folders. I'd like for there to be a setting to add additional folder paths that will be backed up, so that for example photos in my downloads folder will get backed up.

Photo backup should delete photos from the drive when I delete them on my phone.
Instead of just mindlessly uploading every photo I take and calling it a day, it would be very helpful if the folders actually synced and photos I delete from my phone was automatically deleted from the drive, or at least put in a "bin" I can manually empty once in a while.

Selectable language/region formatting in proton docs
It is very annoying that when I edit a proton doc (spreadsheet), all the numbers and dates are using a US format, despite my Proton Drive account being set to Danish language.
Please add the option for the user to select the formatting of dates and numbers that they want to use, regardless of what language their browser/account is using.7 votes -
Better UX for sharing link
I share files or folders with an expiration. It gives me better control, and I won't end up with dozens of shared folders without a clue about their purpose.
I would appreciate the following features:
- expiration date available in the first dialog form, I have to open another dialog now
- ability to preset default expiration date to a certain number of days from today (60 days fits me the best)4 votes -
Automatically update Proton Drive on Windows
Proton Drive on Windows is able to automatically notify the user of available updates. While it is nice to see the application is actively maintained, I would much rather have the application manage its own updates and install them silently at a convenient time (e.g., once the application (re)starts).
Proton Drive already has an updating mechanism allowing the user to press the update button, it also has the ability to notify the user when an update is available, please just link those together to handle updates automatically.
Alternatively, accept contributions on https://github.com/ProtonDriveApps/windows-drive ;)

Manual sync on Windows
It seems that Proton Drive only syncs documents when the last change value changes, not when the file actually changed, which creates a problem. Windows has this annoying quirk where, if the file size didn't change, it won't update the meta data for the time the document was last saved, so even if you saved 10 times in 10 minutes, if the changes you made summed up to the same file size, Explorer will continue to show the change time as being 10 minutes prior, and the updated file with not be automatically synced. To bypass that you should add…
