Live Picture Download
Support the ability to download live photos that are stored in proton drive as live photos. Currently you can save live photos and see them live in proton drive. But if you download the live photo to your phone it doesn't save as a live photo.

Option for folders not to show up in feed
Please add the option for the photos on certain folders not to show up in the timeline/feed.
It would also be great to be able to move photos from the folders themselves to the trash bin, as well as being able to move photos from one folder to another.5 votes -
Team drive
We are using proton drive for work. Both for documents, but it also works as a kind of sharepoint/team drive. It would be really helpful to have a better teams function for the drive. At the moment we have a shared folder, but it is still only the "owner" that fully controls it. Furthermore, since I am not the owner, I am not able to access the folder through proton drive cloud on my computer. I can only access my own folders, not those shared with me. Since I am working on my personal computer, and not allowed to store…

Foto Face recognition
I moved all my fotos from Google Fotos to to Proton Drive Foto. One
Google feature I am missing ..... the face recognition which enabled me to find
in short time several fotos from specific persons (or also animals)

Add Commenter role to allow commenting without editing
In addition to Editor and Viewer, it would be great to have a Commenter role available at the Doc and folder level, as in Google Drive.
I'd love to allow collaborators to comment on, but not edit, any Proton Doc in a shared folder.

Proton drive shared link for MacOS
I am trying Proton drive app on MacOS 15.6.1, and while opening the file or folder contextual menu on the Proton, I don't see the option to create a share link on any file or folder, it is only possible to do it from the Proton drive web page, but it takes extra time and clicks, will this feature come soon? this is a very used feature and other products have this functionality, onedrive, dropbox..

Landscape mode for iOS
In iOS, there's no landscape mode. Thus in portrait mode, if you use files with long filenames you can't see the full name and it's hard to select the correct file. That makes me Drive unusable in iOS.

Paste values only
Please include an option to paste values only in sheets, like Excel or Google Sheets allows to. If I paste some cell content, the fill colour disappears and the alignment is wrong.

Enable Syncing with external Drives
I need the feature to be able to sync not just local folders on your PC, but also from external drives attached to my PC.
I read that this can pose a safety threat. But I still very much like to have all my data stored on a cloud and a physical drive in case I lose access or have any other problems with my cloud. I am currently using pCloud, and they allow that. That is quite the essential feature for me.
So please allow syncing with external drives as well.

Support "mailto" links in Proton Docs
When I want to add a link to an email address ("mailto:foo@bar.baz") in Proton Docs, the link turns into "https://mailto:foo@bar.baz") and klicking on the link just opens "bar.baz" in my browser. When I edit the link address and remove the "https://" prefix, it just gets added again.
Suggestion: Either let me delete the prefix, or recognize email addresse and don't add the "https://" prefix in the first place.

Standardise file and folder sorting across apps
The Proton Drive web app sorts folders in the left-hand file tree lexicographically but sorts files and folders in the right-hand folder content area numerically. Files and folders in the iOS/iPadOS app are sorted lexicographically.
Let’s assume I have a folder that itself has twenty folders, each named 1 to 20. The web app sorts them as follows in the left-hand folder tree:
1,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,2,20,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
However, the web app sorts them as follows in the right-hand folder content area:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20
This is confusing. The sorting method should be standardised across all areas of all apps. Should that standard be sorting numbers…

Allow folder sync for mobile device
Some apps that are not connected to a server and focus on privacy can regularly create local backups on the mobile device (e.g. tasks.org).
I would like to back up these backups via Proton Drive.
This would make apps that store their data only locally much more attractive and would make it significantly easier to maintain privacy and data protection.5 votes -
Enable default auto-format of double hyphens to em dashes in Proton Docs.
As a journalist using Proton Docs for secure drafting, the lack of automatic formatting for em dashes is a significant friction point in my workflow.
In many professional text editors, typing two hyphens automatically converts them to an em dash. This is standard for long-form writing and quoting. I would love to see it in Proton Docs.

Speed up search indexing in Drive on Linux Mozilla
I have been trying for 1 month to have my search feature in the web interface of drive index my files. This so they will be searchable. There are over 170K files there. The first 100K seem to be done is a jiffy, but after that it is like 1000 files every 10 minutes. My laptop is never connected to the internet for more as 3 or 4 hours and the index seems to crash after several disconnects. So after a month of trying I still have not been able to get a searchable index. Isn't it possible to speed…
