Drive Mount Point
Please remove the "My files" subdirectory from the drive mount point. When setup asks where to mount the share, if I put in C:\Users[UserName]\Proton. That's where I want it. I do not want an additional subdirectory. I especially do not want one with a space in it. Just mount it where specified.

I just want to say THANK YOU. Google started giving me AI overviews of my drive docs without me asking it to. :(
Just wanted to express my gratitude here for actually giving a **** about my privacy. I have post-op photos I don't really want AI trained on! I don't want to feed my digital life into an advertising machine! So THANK you for being here and I'm happy to give you money for control over my digital existence.

Add Atkinson Hyperlegible fonts to Proton Drive apps for better accessibility
While the font selections are currently lacking, the need for accessible fonts such as the Atkinson Hyperlegible collection or fonts designed for dyslexics is critical. Those with accessibility needs are particularly vulnerable in the current political climate in North America, and accessibility to privacy tools is thus critical.

default font, size et al for Proton Docs
I would love for users to be able to set their default font, size et al so they see all documents that way. My workflow is: write in Obsidian > Proton Docs > Obsidian.MD for publish and archive.

Allow the ability to download multiple files without having them bundled inside of a .zip file from the web interface.
As it stands, on the web interface, if you select multiple files to download within a folder, they automatically get bundled into a large .zip file.
It would be nice to have an option to instead have the files queued up to be downloaded separately.
I'm aware you can individually click download on each file, but I'd like to be able to use the checkbox to select all files in a folder and queue them up as separate downloads.

Importing photos from a Google Photos takeout should preserve photo captions
Google Photos supports adding captions to photos in albums and outside them. It is very useful eg for wildlife photography, to document what species is seen in each photo. The captions are exported as metadata in a Google Takeout. However, during the import of the takeout into Proton Drive Photos, the captions are ignored. This makes moving captioned albums from Google Photos to Proton Drive less appealing than it could be.

Proton Docs accessibility (alt text for images)
We have to be able to add alt text to images in Proton Docs
While working on the accessibility of a document, I was not able to add alt text to images. This is a basic accessibility feature, and is in WCAG 2.2, 1.1.1 Non-text content (https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/#non-text-content). There is no good reason to exclude this feature. It would only lead to less accessibility for people with disabilities.5 votes -

Simple Text only Google Keep Replacement
I'm looking for a simple, note-taking app to replace Google Keep, ideally with a similar interface. I don't need advanced features like tags initially, just basic note creation and ordering. However, archiving and export functionality would be valuable additions. It could start as text-only.

Proton Docs: use pt instead of px, or offer choice
I just tried Docs für the first time and the first thing that springs to my eye is the font size showing "px" as measurement. Being curious about this I downloaded a test doc as .docs and opened it in Word, which showed the correct size in points (e.g. 16px -> 12pt).
While I am happy that the measurement unit is no mistake and is converted correctly, I still wonder why Proton chose to go with px instead of pt while still offering the same sizes as other text editors, just using px as unit.While the average user might…

add "secret" albums - certain photos are only displayed in these albums, not in the gallery
Add ability to declare Albums "secret" to hide specific pictures from the general photo gallery ("Photo" tab) and display them only in these specific albums.
It's the equivalent of Apples "secret album", so one can hide sensitive pictures from the general view - especially if the gallery becomes a shared space.Suggestion: when an album is classified as "secret" all pictures in /added to it are automatically removed from the general gallery.

Mobile app photos should be viewable in the proton drive desktop app
Currently the only way to see files backed up from a mobile app is to open up the proton drive web app. This is incredibly cumbersome and there should be a section in the proton drive desktop app where we can access those photos.

Simplify folder path structure in Drive on Windows
On Windows, Proton Drive creates a very strange folder structure:
C:\Users\username\Proton Drive\username\My files\
There are empty folders in the path for no reason. Why not just store everything directly inside Proton Drive? It feels unnecessary and cluttered.
Besides being visually messy (it literally bothers my OCD), it also makes accessing files slower and annoying because I have to click through multiple empty folders just to get to my stuff.

Photo filtering and sorting
When I view the Proton Drive gallery, I would like to have filter options like date, location, etc. available to filter my view. I also would like to have sort options (ascending, descending) available.

As it is, you only can sync photos. On the desktop you can add additional folders.

Proton Docs or Proton Notes with handwriting input support
There is no real great privacy respecting note taking or journaling app out there that supports handwriting input using Apple Pencil or some other stylus. Most don’t support handwriting at all, including Proton Docs and Standard Notes, and the few that do aren’t great from a privacy standpoint. Most rely on Dropbox or iCloud.
Journaling or sketch writing is an inherently hand written process. Even jotting down notes in meetings.
It would be wonderful to see Proton adopt support for inputting handwritten test using an Apple Pencil/other stylus. This could be where Proton Docs/Notes acts as a blank canvas like…

True cloud sync akin to Dropbox or OneDrive
Instead of just allowing machine-specific sync to the cloud, allow for a cloud-storage option which multiple machines can all sync to & from bidirectionally, allowing all computers to have the same set of files. Add one in one machine, it should become available in all machines. Delete one in one machine, it should get deleted everywhere.
Something similar to Dropbox or OneDrive. Makes managing files much more seamless and easier instead of having to try and find which machine I first synced the file on.

Search by Album Name in Mobile App
It would be extremely helpful for users who have dozens—or even hundreds—of photo albums to be able to search by album name in the mobile app's 'Photos' section.

Sorting options in upload list (by date, name, size)
When uploading files to Drive (at least in the web version), there is a panel that shows the list of current uploads. It would be really helpful if this list could be sorted — by date, name, or size. Even just sorting by date (A→Z / Z→A) would make it easier to see what was uploaded first/last and keep track of order.
In the uploads panel we currently have: All, Active, Completed, and Failed. It would be really helpful to also have a 'Queued' category. Sometimes uploads stack up, and it's hard to tell what's waiting vs what's actually transferring.…

Team drive
We are using proton drive for work. Both for documents, but it also works as a kind of sharepoint/team drive. It would be really helpful to have a better teams function for the drive. At the moment we have a shared folder, but it is still only the "owner" that fully controls it. Furthermore, since I am not the owner, I am not able to access the folder through proton drive cloud on my computer. I can only access my own folders, not those shared with me.
