2. Locally available downloads for Android

   If you download a file locally on drive with an Android, it's still not available in the file structure, so I can't use it to sync local or custom apps. I'd like to be able to have it visible in the file structure so that I can.

3. Tags and tag search for photos in drive

   The addition of a tagging system to photos in drive would allow people to manage photos of people or places, they can manually tag them. But if there is an API this opens up a whole world of features, like a 3rd party desktop api that uses the drive api to download images, scan them with local AI and facial recognition and apply tags to the photos. Then with a tag search the effectiveness from more fully features photo services can present itself without ever having to let Proton get access to the photos.

5. Please allow users to reorder photos manually

   I would like to be able to manually reorder photos that have incorrect time stamps. The photo storage is useless to me without this feature, and storing photos was the main reason that I signed up for proton drive.

7. Add zoom in/out to Proton Docs web app

   Please add zoom/in/out to Proton Docs. You can work around this by zooming the browser, but that increases the size of all UI elements and isn't a great solution. Hoping this is low-hanging fruit! Thanks

8. bookmarks on documents

   how about adding bookmarks on word documents? I would like to go back and forth in the document, writing stuff and everytime I have to scroll through all of it which is kinda inconvenient as soon as the document is long more than 2/3 pages

9. Allow Proton Photos to index photos stored in Drive folders

   Problem: I currently manage my large photo archive in folders, grouped per year, so I am not depending on one photo library (like Apple Photo's).

   Wish: Let Proton Dive index photo's from such folders, so users can use both the folder structure as well as the Photo gallery. Allow users to mark one or more Drive folders as "Photo folders". Proton Photos should automatically index the supported media files inside those folders while preserving the original folder structure.

   Currently, it looks like photo's uploaded in folders to Drive, are considered as 'files' and not indexed as 'photo's'.

   Result: More flexibility for users who are migrating from Apple Photo's or Google Photo's. Many users wish to store photo's privacy secured, but with a similar advanced photo gallery like Apple of Google.

   This would attract more (new) users moving their photo's to Proton with subsequent more (paid) users for Proton.

   It is currently my main road block from fully use Proton.

10. Have an automatic slideshow for Album (Proton Drive Photos)

    Like Slidehow feature in macos Photos, as a User I want to be able to click on a button slideshow to pop up a slideshow (automatic like a video, or not) so that I can show it to my friends.

12. Customizable keyboard shortcuts in Proton Docs and Sheets

    I use Proton Docs and Proton Sheets extensively, both in my professional work and in a medical practice. Since I prefer keyboard-focused workflows, reliable keyboard shortcuts are very important to me.

    Unfortunately, some of Proton’s current shortcuts conflict with operating-system and keyboard-layout shortcuts. For example, on Windows with a German keyboard layout, Ctrl + Alt is interpreted similarly to AltGr. As a result, pressing Ctrl + Alt + 2 in Proton Docs types the character ² instead of applying a level-two heading. The same issue appears to affect other formatting shortcuts, such as quotations and code formatting.

    It would therefore be very helpful if users could customize keyboard shortcuts in Proton Docs and Proton Sheets.

    Possible solutions could include:

    1. Fully customizable keyboard shortcuts.
    2. A choice between Proton’s default shortcuts and an alternative shortcut set that avoids common operating-system conflicts.
    3. Presets based on the operating system or keyboard layout, such as Windows, macOS, Linux, German, or US English.

    Markdown shortcuts are a useful workaround for some functions in Proton Docs, but they do not cover every feature and do not solve the broader problem in Proton Sheets.

    Customizable or layout-aware shortcuts would make Proton Docs and Sheets much more convenient for keyboard-focused workflows and more accessible to users with non-US keyboard layouts.

13. Proton Drive and VLC Player (mobile) Integration

    In VLC on mobile, there is a way to link your cloud services for downloading/streaming files. There's already a list of supported cloud services (dropbox, Google Drive, pCloud) and it would be wonderful to see Proton Drive in that list!

14. Sizes of Folders

15. Proton Sheet

    Fix drag down. If I highlight dates that are in descending order and drag down to add more dates is does not add them correctly. It should be the next day such as: 8/4/2026, 8/5/2026, 8/6/2026 but then will jump to 7/9/2026, 8/9/2026, etc.

17. Can't sort by date

    On Proton drive on a PC you can sort files by date but you can't do this on the Android phone app. Thus is extremely annoying not allowing this type of sorting by date. Please fis this.

18. Proton Photos - Web - "Add to album" stays visible when selecting photos in an album

    It is common for photos to appear in several albums at once. For instance I have individual albums for my nieces and my cats, and photos commonly feature several of these people in the same photo.

    When I select photos in the main "Photos" tab, I get an "Add to album" button.

    When I select photos within an album, the same button does not appear. I only have the options to download or remove from the current album.

    I would like the "Add to album" button to appear when photos are selected in an album. This would also help with album organisation in general.

    As a enhancement, the "Add to album" button should also have "Favourites" shown as an album, to enable photos to be added to favourites easily.

19. Ability to permanently delete one or more files without going to the Recycle Bin

    In the various right-click menus, add "Delete Permanently" ...it simply prevents some files from having to be deleted twice.

20. Sheets - Value in cell 0 and Null should be different

    Right now in Proton Sheet, when we you the IF command for a certain value in a cell, the 0 and the null are the same. I want to show something in a cell if a different cell shows 0, but nothing if that cell has nothing in it. Right now, the 0 in the cell is showing like it has nothing in it.
