Auto delete photos after 30 days when deleted from native photos app
Once photos from my iOS device sync to proton drive, they stay there unless I delete them from the proton drive app. When I delete the photo from my native photos app, it would be nice if it auto-deleted from my proton drive after 30 days or so. It would help keep the proton drive clean automatically. Even better if we can choose for how long they stay in the drive (grace period).

Standalone Proton Drive Finder Window
On macos Proton drive doesn't currently allow Finder folder shortcuts due to the way it manages sessions. If Proton Drive had it's own Finder or File Explorer window, we could have shortcuts to proton drive folders - everyone wants that.
A full standalone Proton drive file browser window that works just like the standard OS browser window. This way we can have proton drive folder shortcuts. It would work with the current session management and it might bring parity across devices too.

Better RTL Font Support in Proton Doc
I would like to suggest a feature that could significantly improve the experience for users who write in RTL languages such as Persian and Arabic.
Currently, the available fonts in Proton Drive do not always render Persian or Arabic text properly or aesthetically. It would be very helpful if Proton Drive could include fonts specifically designed for RTL languages to improve readability and typography.
One excellent option is Vazirmatn [https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Vazirmatn], which is a free and open-source Persian/Arabic typeface. It has very good readability and modern design, and it is already available in tools like Google Doc. Including fonts…

Add compression to photos and files?
It would be great to add compression to photos and files inside the drive, similar to filen.io.
For the sake of making it profitable Proton can decide to allow such feature for the lowest subscription tier.

Tables on iOS are excessively narrow
Tables that look fine on other devices are shrunk to an excessively small width on iOS devices in the Proton Drive app as well as in the Browser (tested with Safari and Firefox). In a two-column table, the width is so small that line breaks are added even for short words.

Printing on iOS
Am I missing something or is it really not possible to print (or at least export to PDF) in the iOS Proton Drive app? "Open in Browser" does not help, either - at least in Firefox. So, there is no way to print/export a Proton Drive document on an iPad or iPhone?

I need a way to stop keep getting a Sync Issue Alert for a Lock FIle that is being used by Another App.
Since others have asked for an "Ignore Files" feature and they still haven't gotten it, I need some way to get Proton Drive to stop nagging me with ALERTS about files that WILL NOT SYNC because they are locked (or for any other reason.)
How about a way to DISMISS an ALERT? How about PERMANENTLY for a given file?
Otherwise other, more vital alerts and/or other notifications might get lost amongst all the noise.

Make it possible to move data from synced computers to "my files"
Bulk upload of files (multiple GB) to "my files" using the browser is not reliable. Very often only the folder names are uploaded but no data inside. That requires manual checking of each folder to see if the content was uploaded too or not.
When as a workaround, syncing the data using the Proton Drive app is chosen, it gets reliably uploaded and is stored in "Computers". Now the problem is that the data can't be moved to "my files" where I want it to have it stored.

Double-click to open a shared Proton Doc
Opening a shared Proton Doc – In the web UI (https://drive.proton.me), locate the shared document, double‑click the title or the blue Doc icon (or select the file and press Enter/right‑click → “Open in Docs”). This opens the file directly in the Proton Docs viewer. The three‑dot menu only offers download, details, copy, or remove; it does not contain the “open” command. Adding this step‑by‑step tip will help free‑account users who see only the three‑dot menu and prevent confusion.

Allow folder sync for mobile device
Some apps that are not connected to a server and focus on privacy can regularly create local backups on the mobile device (e.g. tasks.org).
I would like to back up these backups via Proton Drive.
This would make apps that store their data only locally much more attractive and would make it significantly easier to maintain privacy and data protection.2 votes -
Separate or tag devices for Photos
When backing up photos, save each device's photo library to a separate folder or at least tag which device the photo came from.
I take personal photos on my phone and photos for my business on my tablet, I don't want to mix them up in a single collection.

A central page to deal with conflicts
Title basically. Doesn't have to be fancy, doesn't have to have extra functionality. No notifications no warnings, just a list I visit whenever I am looking to freeup extra bytes.
I just want to know what conflicts I have. Maybe then I can deal with them manually, or have the app deal with them.
I hate that my PC drive will slowly get fillied with conflicted files without me knowing- Unless I go search every folder in my PC?

Add a way to clear/hide the activity section in the menu bar window
For privacy reasons, there should be a way to clear or completely disable the activity section in the menu bar window on Mac.

Windows App fuctionality
I would like to see on all the functionality you see on the web browser access page into the windows APP. If I install the Windows app, I think is logic to have the rich sharing, moving and other functions right there without the need to open a browser, log in, etc.
I feel without all the functionality, the app defeats the purpose of installing it. Especially if my Proton folder is located into a different drive. For some reason the APP is blocked in local Windows generic folders.2 votes -
Activities should never clear and be openable
In the Proton Drive app, the activity section only shows files that were just uploaded and will then clear the history. You also can't click the files to quick open them up. I think Activity should be more like a "recents" tab that shows most recent edited files for quick access where you can just click to open them.

Proton Mail - Sorting custom filters
Being able to sort the custom filters based on alphabetical order like it is already possible to filter your Folder and Labels.
This would make sure the managing of multiple filters is easy and convenient.2 votes
