option to check in proton calendar
Often I have tasks to do within the day and I don't necessarily want to delete them from the calendar once they're done in order to keep track of the day they were executed nor do I want to keep getting notifications for them as they are done. Therefore I think it would be amazing to have the possibility to check the tasks in proton calendar (like in a to-do list) so that we don't get notifications for them anymore but they keep appearing as executed in the calendar. I wouldn't force all events of the calendar to be like…

Select which of my emails/aliases a calendar invite is FROM
Option list in each appointment that lists my emails to choose which one is the 'from' address for the appointment.
POSSIBLY COOLER: Option list of default "from email"s for EACH CALENDAR I set up!!! - Every appointment set up with that Calendar/color will be from the configured alias/email

One-click events
I find when scheduling things like my work shifts it is very tedious to have to enter every field over and over again when the only thing that changes is the dates. But my schedule fluctuates too much for me to schedule it as a recurring event. It would be nice to be able to save a pre-configured event like "Day-shift" and then just be able to drag and drop it on the days I work the day shift.

New events default to shown calendar
If you only have one calendar showing, new events should default to the calendar being shown.

(1) Create tasks to check off, (2) Turn mail into tasks or events in Calendar, (3) Create a task list to hold tasks not yet assigned a date
A process flow for task management where I can quickly create tasks and add those tasks to the calendar and check them off either on the calendar or on the task list. There needs to be a single task list. I need to be able to turn mail into tasks and also move mail to the calendar as a task or an event. This is a combination of Google, Microsoft, and other workflow calendars.

Ability to select multiple days "all day" - eg vacation
I would like to be able to select multiple "all days" to indicate a vacation, conference etc. At present (I may be wrong) I need to do this manually for each day.

1 Day Alerts for Events
When entering an event we can choose: At the Time of Event, 10, 20, 30 minutes, 1 Hour, 1 Week or Custom. There isn't an option for "One Day", which is rather bizarre to my mind. Of course you can go into "Custom" every time you set up a new event but that is a royal pain in the ... er... neck! So much so I made the effort to come here! This a really simple upgrade Proton... pretty please!

Allow editing of events with participants on mobile
I need to be able to edit an event on mobile that has participants. This seems like a very strange, arbitrary decision that I assume was a scope cut to get the mobile app launched. I can appreciate that, but this just feels broken. Please fix this before adding NEW functionality.
Hard to believe I couldn't find this already posted. If I missed it, let me know so I can put my votes behind an existing idea.

Save Events from other Apps in Proton Calandar
Many apps e.g. train apps such as DB allow me to save events to my calendars. If I click on it a list of my calanders is shown e.g. Apples and Googles. It would be nice if I could select the Proton Calender here as well.
I have the feeling this only works if the calender is part of an added account, which I can not do for Proton.

proton drive desktop app
A Proton drive desktop app is a must, syncing files would be amazing and would sway me closer to using proton apps exclusively

Bulk editing of events to new/existing calendars
Select any number(shift click, shift drag) of events and move them to a custom calendar.
Another usefull bulk operation is moving the selected events by an amount of hours/days/weeks.
Bulk deletion is also usefull but with a context window warning, which might save people some headaches.6 votes -
Custom color for weekend days (like Saturday and Sunday)
Pleaae provide option for custom color for weekend days (like Saturday and Sunday), so that it became more convenient/eye-catchy for distinguish working days and weekends. It will be more office and business friendly calendar then.

Improvements of existing features
- Drag an event to change its duration (similar as in Google Calendar)
- Add intervals of 15 minutes for the events (now the minimum is 30 min)
- Display the events more clearly when they overlap with each other (now when you have two events overlapping, there are only a few characters visible as they are completely side by side)
- Keep the event colors for past events (having them greyed out make it less easy to identify events from various calendars)
- when dragging an event to change its time, remove the pop-up to confirm the new time

Allocate a colour and description to a calendar entry from a pallet of colours (similar to Mail Labels/Folders)
Justification: Quick (glance) overview of types/importance of calendar events e,g, Meeting (Business); Meeting (Personal); Deadlines etc.
Based on the concept avalable with Mail Labels/Folders - colour with free format description? Calendar view becomes multi coloured.
Allocate at time of new entry or an update.
Thank you

In Your Face Reminder Option
I am terrible at setting reminders on my phone calendar and then just not noticing when the notification arrives until it is too late. How about a notification that won't stop until you do something? More like an alarm. There is an app that does this for Mac (no phone versions), but I have never seen that as an option in an actual calendar app.

Plusieurs points

Autofill Location for Events
Some calendars like iOS and Gmail have a location feature that as you type the name of a place, the address (or addresses) appear and allow you to select it. I would like to see this as a feature; I think it would be a great improvement to how selecting a location works now. Now, you have to click the place or link after an event has been added and it will open either Maps, Google Maps, or Waze to ask which place is the correct one you're looking for.

Enable the ability to make optional time periods 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes only.
Finally! An alternative to the evil company calendar. Congratulations to Protonmail team! My suggestion is to enable the time periods in a day's calendar to be 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes only, as is the case now.

Assign a background color to periods of time
I need to plan the activities within a period of time. I would like to see this period's lentgh when planning activities. I would like to bea able to change the background color for that specific period of time (days or week) in the month/year presentation. On top of that background I would like to see the planned activities related to that period of time.

Update relative times in notifications
If you have, for example, a full-day event with a notification the day before, the notification will be titles "tomorrow".
However, once midnight has passed, the notification will still state "tomorrow" and not "today". This has caused me a great deal of confusion.
Please update the notification on midnight.3 votes
