  2. Free-standing contacts app for Android

    I would really like to see a Free-standing Android contacts app which would allow contacts (WITH a PIN) to be displayed without opening the PM mail. I use my contacts to track all kinds of information other than email addresses and phone numbers. On my Android phone it is a pain to unlock and open the mail app, then scroll down to contacts to get some information (like an address). A free-standing app, similar to the calendar app, would solve this issue.

  3. Proton version of google maps

    Help us de-google ourselves.
    Maps has been the only google service I’ve used for a long time.
    I’ve looked for a decent alternative to help me with directions from A to B but there are very few good options.
    Help us de-google by letting us not have to give google our physical location anymore.

    Here are Some Services for Proton , i recommend should add
    + Proton Chat : Everyone can chat and talk together with End2End Encryption , add call and call video features . Also , make it own App for Laptop and PC
    + Proton Office : Place store Documents , Sheet , Slide for Business and Work . Can Edit and View Docs With Everyone ( Add Password Feature to make it more secure ) and include who don't have a proton account can view

  5. Proton Docs - Add word and character counter

    It would be great for Proton Docs to have a world and character counter. I have to stay within certain limits for both and I'm sure many people do too.

    Please, add a counter that:
    - is persistent on screen to the side or is there just for a while (toggle, but remember toggle for the account, unlike Google Docs)
    - displays words
    - displays characters
    - displays characters without spaces
    - does 3 of the above for selected block

    Maybe some someone else has also so ideas.

  6. Encrypted Phone Calls

    Just looking for a great company to create a way so my phone calls from my current number are all encrypted. Keeping the federal government from wiretapping the line. But it needs to be a stand alone, so I can still use it, without the other person needing to also have the app.

  7. Crowdfund Linux parity

    Run a crowdfunding campaign to put complete Linux parity on the Proton roadmap. This will allow customers and potential customers to demonstrate support more tangibly than with suggestions and votes.

    It is clear from broad and specific suggestions here on UserVoice that there is customer demand for improved Linux support. I can only assume that you are lacking concrete evidence for the SIZE of the demand. This is the intended purpose of crowdfunding campaigns.

  10. Proton SMS Forwarder

    What's the point of having @passmail.net aliases to hide&forward e-mails to your @proton mailbox if you can get spammed on your phone number registered on the same website ?

    I'd want a Proton SMS Forwarder app that would have the following features :
    1° Transfer SMS, MMS and push notifications to my proton mailbox / to a dedicated proton cloud / to another phone ;
    2° Transfer through smtp / api / WIFI (not onty through 4G/5G, except for MMS obviously)
    3° App on Phone + PC Desktop version with a SIMCard Reader / eSim
    4° Where possible : possibility…

  12. Auto-lock for all apps and platforms

    I would appreciate it if all Proton apps had the auto-lock feature on all platforms.

    And please include following options for the timeout:

    • Custom timeout value
    • Lock on system lock
    • Lock when browser closed

    So it would be great if we could set the Auto-lock timeout in all Proton applications on all platforms to a custom value.

    Also the option to lock the app only whenever I lock the device or close the browser would be a great feature.

  14. Searchable IOS calendar.

    Simply put if I can’t search a calendar to find out when my last eye doctors appointment was or when my dad‘s next cardiologist appointment is, a calendar is useless to me.
    I would rather use proton products than any others and I have been a long time paying supporter; but, until the iOS version becomes searchable I will continue pay to use a different calendar app also.

  15. Add integration to home assistant

    Working with Nubu Casa, it would be really useful to get all the apps integrated securely with Home assistant. Google calendar already has an integration. The ability to fire off automations when an email arrives, an event is happening, a new file has been added to the drive or if the VPN Disconnects for example.

  16. Become a Matrix Messaging Provider.

    I think Proton would benefit by opening up a messaging app that uses the Matrix protocol. Matrix is a federated protocol (like E-Mail), and it's built in the same style as Slack.

    If Proton were to become a provider, users who use it will have usernames like, "@username:proton.me", and public rooms would be something like "#public-room:proton.me" on the Matrix Network.

    It's entirely open source as well, and there is a server backend built in Golang called Dendrite, which developers might find use for. The main client is Element, which again is built after slack.

  17. Proton Browser

    There should be a proton browser, proton DNS, & proton search engine, for better internet privacy. Proton browser should have proton search engine enabled as default, but allows the option to change search engine for people who would prefer to use a different search engjne. The browser should also allow people to pick what DNS they wanna use, but proton should also provide its' own DNS.     Can you add to Proton Pass as part of overall security using my standard mobile number as the hidden number and a temp phone I can hand out to internet sign ups and apps etc?

  20. Personal Data Removal

    A new service focused around removing personal data from sites like TruePeopleSearch and Whitepages. Since the whole idea of Proton is focused around privacy, I believe it would make a great addition to the current services provided by Proton. It would make it a perfect tool for new users who getting into privacy control and for current users who are serious about their privacy. Let me know what you guys think!
