In my opinion, having an official client for Proton Drive would be a major competitive advantage for Proton, especially considering its target audience and the fact that Google and Microsoft currently do not offer official support for Linux. As a result, the community often resorts to alternatives like Dropbox or Mega.nz, just to name a few. Another option has been using unofficial clients, which can pose security risks or significant issues due to lack of maintenance or implementation errors. However, this tends to drive away regular users.
A flatpak client would suit the vast majority of LINUX users.

I see privacy as a whole. Someone who is willing to trade Google Workspace and Microsoft Office for Proton may also want or tend to consider migrating from Windows to Linux. In this scenario, having a Linux client would be natural for Proton. A flatpak, for example, could serve most of the community.

As mentioned in the previous update on this feature, it is now being edited to be a request for slides.
Please feel free to undo your vote if this is not something you want included in Proton Drive.

Without an official client, Proton loses its shine. Why pay more than competitors to use email, Drive, etc., still not have a spreadsheet, slide and form editor, and still be stuck with Windows or MacOS in the same way?
Unfortunately, I think that privacy alone is not enough; it is necessary to win over personal and business users with convenience.
