This would be great for Graphene OS users!
I moved to Graphene to de-Google. Hence I don't want to be forced to have Google Play Services running in the background on my device.
I have downloaded Proton Pass, Authenticator and VPN från F-droid, and I guess I could download the Proton Mail apk from Proton's website, but without UnifiedPush it will not be able to deliver push notifications which I think is an important feature for a mail app.

Agree 100%.
- An album "Slideshow" mode in the web app that shows the photos in fullscreen (or as close as possible). In the current web app photos are quite small with a lot of space around them.
- Sorting in albums should be in order they were taken (e.g. reversed from today). When you show the album to someone you want to do it in the right cronological order.

Would be great to run Proton Apps on Graphene OS under a profile without Google Play Services running in the background and still get notifications on new mail etc.

Would be great with a secure messaging app, end-to-end encrypted, hosted in Europe.
Seems like a natural step after Proton Mail and Proton

Yeah or collaborate with a privacy oriented European alternative with their own index: Qwant Search 😊.
Seems like a natural follow up on Lumo.

Yeah why not 😊
Team up even further with Vivaldi (Vivaldi has Proton VPN integration already) and Qwant Search Engine.
Brand it as “Proton Browser - the European alternative”! 😎

That would be great, considering you already have Proton Mail and Proton Meet. A secure messaging app seem like a manageable natural next step.

I understand why some want two-way synchronization. But please, if so make it optional!
On iPhone, photos can’t upload in the background—you have to open the Proton Drive app. And I actually prefer it that way! I take lots of photos, and quite a few of them are just temporary or duplicates that I don’t want to save long time or upload. I prefer to clean my camera roll first, and then once satisfied, open the app and upload the ones that are left. Also since removing photos on my iPhone doesn't remove them in Proton Drive it means I can always clean my iPhone's camera roll at any time to save space, it's always in Proton Drive anyway. For me, Proton Drive photo upload works perfectly just as it is!
My wife has an Android, and there photos are uploaded in the background but she wanted the same functionality as on iPhone. Fortunately, you can make this work by disabling the Android app’s ability to use data traffic in the background. It would actually be great to have as a real Proton Drive app setting on Android rather than this "fix".
So, to summarize:
1. If you make two way sync, please make it optional!2. In fact, if you make it so Proton Drive mobile apps deletes cloud photos when local photos are deleted, please also make that optional!
3. And on Android, it would be nice if you could make an official app setting to just upload on-demand (e.g. not in the background), like on iPhone.

Yes I wish Proton Mail wasn't dependent on Google.
I run Graphene OS and don't want to be forced to have Google Play Services running in the background on my device. I have installed Proton Pass, Authenticator and VPN from F-droid but as it is now I cannot get notifications when new mail arrives to Proton Mail without downloading it from Google Play.
