Select AND view photos
Weeding out a bunch of photos is easily done be selecting multiple photos and clicking delete. Nice.
But as you are selecting, it would be really nice to be able to open a photo for viewing. Currently you cannot view a photo if any are selected.
I would very much like to be able to open a photo for viewing while having a selection, and having the selection retained while viewing the photo. Maybe even having the option to add/remove the currently viewed photo to the selection.
This would also be very helpful when selecting for an album.6 votes -

please make "always available on this device" the default or configurable
To keep it short, because my previous idea was just deleted:
Please make "always available on this device" the default, or at least configurable, so that I don't have to select "always keep on this device" for every new file on my local system (to make the light green check mark a dark green one).(but why has my previous idea been deleted without any notion while it was a serious effort from my side???)

Improve Folder|File Structure View in Proton Docs
Please add a View in docs.proton.me where I can navigate the folder structure instead of only seeing the recently edited documents.
Please add a two-column view in docs and drive where i can have the structure tree (files and folders) open in both columns and move documents between those columns.

Slideshow feature for Album photos and Albums as Windows folders
In Android/iOs and Windows Desktop Drive App, add slideshow feature with temporized random presentation and transition effects. Further, the possibility to show in some way Album as folders in Windows File Explorer.

icon view (Albums)
Photos & Albums suggestion:
🍄 When click Albums:
now is list view only, add icon view (grid view) please :)And if I can choose sort by " file name / time / file size ",
then I can set "one of options" as default.
It would be so perfect..
then I can share my works photos to clients via Proton Drive/ Albums in the future.

Folder tree should autoexpand during navigation
Similar to File Explorer on Windows, there's a setting called 'Autoexpand to folder'. When clicking a folder on the main area of File Explorer, the tree view on left panel autoexpand to that folder.
Proton Drive is better with such feature. Currently, when double-clicking a folder on the main area, the folder tree on the left doesn't change, and sometimes it's deeply nested inside, thus clicking the tree to browse to current folder is slow.

Please incorporate the Federated Cloud ID / Open Cloud Mesh (OCM) into Proton Drive to share folder and files between other clouds safely.

Usually some docs get finalized, and edits should not be done more. Can a doc save its status when changed to view only?

Photo-section: filename visible while hovering tile
It would be very convenient while in the photo-section, the filename of the photo would appear (i.e. after a second) while hovering the tile.
It would make it much easier to select the proper photo while multiple versions of the same photo are available.6 votes -

Please make Proton Drive compatible with Linux Mint
Dear Proton,
After decades of discontent with Microsoft Windows, in January of this year I finally switched to Linux (Mint). I was however very surprised and disappointed to learn that Proton Drive does not work with Linux. I would appreciate it very much if you would work on this. Thank you.5 votes -
Link folder from "My Files" into Photos
I have a folder called "Photo Archive" in "My Files" and I would be great to have the possibility to link from Photos to that folder so they are visible.

Add Atkinson Hyperlegible fonts to Proton Drive apps for better accessibility
While the font selections are currently lacking, the need for accessible fonts such as the Atkinson Hyperlegible collection or fonts designed for dyslexics is critical. Those with accessibility needs are particularly vulnerable in the current political climate in North America, and accessibility to privacy tools is thus critical.

Photo backup should delete photos from the drive when I delete them on my phone.
Instead of just mindlessly uploading every photo I take and calling it a day, it would be very helpful if the folders actually synced and photos I delete from my phone was automatically deleted from the drive, or at least put in a "bin" I can manually empty once in a while.
