2. All photos available offline

   I want to use Proton Drive as a replacement for my phone gallery. Therefore, I want my photos to appear in the app instantly and not only after uploading. Also, I want all photos to be available offline, because I want to view photos without a network connection.

3. Allow realtime updating of an open file via Proton Drive.

   I would REALLY love to replace Microsoft OneDrive with Proton Drive. The one thing that's preventing me from doing that, though, is as a writer, OneDrive's ability to save/backup a Word document while I have it open and am working on it is crucial. If you could figure out a way for Proton Drive to do this, I'd be all over it.

   Description:
   When editing a document in Proton Docs on a mobile device, attempting to access extended formatting options (such as font family, font size, or text alignment) from the "More Options" (three-dot) menu causes the submenu/popup to immediately auto-close/hide before any selection can be made. Basic inline options (Bold, Italic, Underline) function normally, but advanced typography controls cannot be selected due to this UI dismissal bug.
   Steps to Reproduce:
   * Open or create a document in Proton Docs via the Proton Drive mobile app.
   * Select or highlight any written text.
   * Tap the formatting bar and open the extended menu / three-dot icon (...) to change font family, font size, or alignment.
   * Tap on the dropdown or submenu to pick a font style or adjust size.
   Actual Behavior:
   The formatting menu/popup instantly closes and disappears from the screen without applying the selected changes, returning the focus back to the keyboard or standard view.

   The formatting submenu should remain open and stable, allowing the user to scroll, select their desired font style/size, and apply it seamlessly on mobile screens.

6. Some feature for app

   I hope these features will be available on iOS and Android.

   It should be possible to share files from anywhere on the phone with the app so that they can be uploaded, such as photos or other types of files.

   There should be a video player within the app that supports video quality control, as well as an audio player.

   It should be possible to upload selected photos without having to obtain permission to access all photos.

   Alternative connection options should be provided in the app to solve the problem of apps being blocked in some countries, such as Proton VPN and email.

   The file extension should be allowed to be hidden.

   I hope these features will be available on iOS and Android.

7. Uploading in the iOS application

   It's unacceptable and extremely annoying that you can only select and upload a maximum of 10 files at a time on iOS. Android offers so many more options. Please change this urgently. It's such a huge hindrance.

8. Open and Save with external app, not rename to "file (1).txt"

   Currently on Android we can only Send (makes a copy) but neither Save or Save As (over original) works for even a basic Text File. Since last century we've been able to overwrite/alter without cumbersome deletion of the original file first.
   Thanks heaps for the integration with Android Files, but it only half works...

10. Low Resolution Place Holders For Photos On Phone

    I don't know how feasible this is, but I would love to leave iCloud photo backup entirely for PD, but iCloud allows me to offload all photos and videos into the cloud leaving behind a low resolution thumbnail placeholder so I can still look through all my photos, while still saving memory. Its a life saver for phone storage, but also very useful as I want access to all my photos. Can this be done!? I would contend one of the most prominent reasons why people resort to photo backups is to save space!

11. Manual sync

    It would be great e.g. for photo/video backup on phones, if we could manually trigger syncing of data from the phone to Drive. It's not everything I need synced; could be I take a funny photo to send to a loved one, but it's not something I want to waste drive storage on.

12. In proton PC app, show ALL the remaining files to sync, not only currently synced. Also for Proton drive mobile.

You can also show the percentage of the sync in general and the time required (estimate) to sync all. The same I believe could be done for pictures in PC and mobile app pictures backup.

13. Better way for bulk uploading/downloading

    It is currently very challenging to upload large amounts of data into Proton Drive. I have some data that I want to back up into the cloud, which currently sits on an external drive. The Proton Drive desktop app will not accept the folders on the external drive for backup (presumably because it is not an internal drive), and uploading via the web interface is extremely unreliable unless you manually do it in small chunks, which is tedious.

    Would it be possible to add a function to the desktop app to copy large amounts of data into Proton Drive or copy it out of Proton Drive in a single operation? Meaning not setting up sync between local and cloud folders, but rather a one-time upload/download of selected folder(s) to/from a specific location.

    This could be a very easy-to-implement feature since all the core logic already exists, but it could increase the utility for users immensely.

14. Do not rename photos

    Sometimes I save my android pictures with a USB cable and sometimes with Proton Drive. When I want to be sure there is no photo forgotten I paste all the proton saved photos in my Windows folders again, but since Proton changes automatically the photos' names, it becomes a mess with many duplicates. Do you really need to change the file's name? Why not keep the original name ?

15. Swipe up to see photo details

    When I view a photo inside the Proton Drive gallery, I want to swipe up to see details of the photo (date, camera infos, location) and a map that shows the location of the photo. It could look similar to iCloud.

16. Ensure I can select and upload multiple files and folders at once, without having to upload files one by one (mobile)

    Currently the mobile app on IpadOS and Android doesn’t support the upload and of an entire folder of files or photos. It also doesn’t support an easy way to multi-select files via a swipe, like the Os prescribes.

    Use case: When I export photos from Lightroom I want to upload them in bulk. Currently, on the web, I can use the OS-Level multi-select behavior to launch an upload of an entire folder. On the apps this is not possible, especially on IpadOS this functionality is very rudimentary. Without this feature, the apps are useless for me.

17. PDF annotation and SPen compatibility for Samsung tablets

    PDF annotation is possible via Windows but not on my Samsung tablet. SPen compatibility and Android functionality would allow Proton Drive to exist across ecosystems more effectively.

18. Improve the speed of syncing.

    The speed of syncing between devices must improve. I can take some photos and its not synced to my computer 2 hrs later. It is rather annoying when I want to work with those photos on my computer and I have to wait a long time before i can access the photos on my computer. I use wifi and also allowing sync with mobile data. The photo tagging should also be optional. I have organized my photos and dont want anything added neither to folders or photos. I dont want googles annoying organizing template. I use android, linux and windows.

20. make cli option --conflict-strategy skip allow incremental uploads to existing subdirectories

    When using the Proton Drive CLI to sync a local folder to Drive, the --conflict-strategy skip flag appears to skip entire directories that already exist on the remote side, without inspecting their contents for new or modified files.

    This makes incremental syncing impractical. In a typical workflow — for example, backing up a Documents folder after a day of work — new files are often created in various subdirectories. With the current behavior, the user would need to manually identify every subdirectory that already exists on Drive and target those individually, which defeats the purpose of a CLI backup command.

    Expected behavior: when --conflict-strategy skip encounters an existing directory, it should recurse into it and skip only the individual files that already exist, while still uploading new or modified files within that directory.

    This would make the CLI suitable for recurring backup scenarios, which is one of the primary use cases highlighted in the documentation.
