Credits offers
When doing offers to capt new members (like 90% discounts first year or so) on Black Friday for example, why not do credit offers for the current members, like X% credit offer discounts?
That would be a kind move by Proton that would make feel the already enroled community feel better when you are doing all those great offers only for new members or to upgrade.
Sincerely, I feel myself ignored when you are doing those offers for new members while here its me paying the same price year after year...69 votes -
Allow Changing Original Proton mail
Please allow us to permanently delete or change the original email address used to create our Proton accounts.
Currently, adding a new email address only acts as a temporary alias, because the account automatically reverts to the original, permanent address if a paid plan expires. It would be highly beneficial if Proton could adopt a system similar to how Apple handles iCloud email addresses, allowing users to permanently delete and seamlessly replace their primary address without it being permanently tied to the account's creation.
Additionally, allowing users to change their username would be a great improvement. Thank you!

A reduced price Meet option for Unlimited Plan subscribers.
I would subscribe to Proton Meet if there were a lower priced option for existing Unlimited Plan subscribers that allowed for longer meetings. I typically have 2 meetings every two months, but their duration can be up to 4 hours. This is for non-commercial use by groups of retired persons. - The business plans are too expensive as is for this type of use.
Perhaps I am an outlier from a marketing point of view, but I thought that I would mention this. My fall-back is to continue to use Jitsi.

Longer Paid Plans - say 3 and 5 Years options
Provide LONGER PAID PLANS, 3 and 5 years options would be nice.
Pricing should of course be decreasing the longer the purchased plan.
This reduces our exposure as customers to random pricing increase every 1 or 2 years, and Proton gets a nice and loyal captive paid membership base to who you can sell other services.

[Proton Meet] One simultaneous meeting but increase meeting duration for individuals
I would like to propose a small but meaningful improvement to Proton Meet within the Duo and Family plans.
Currently, Proton Meet allows only one active meeting at a time and limits meeting duration (e.g. 60 minutes on non-professional tiers). While this is understandable from a product segmentation perspective, it creates friction for one specific use case: private family conversations.
Proposal
For Proton Duo and Proton Family plans:
- Keep the restriction of one simultaneous meeting
- Increase the maximum meeting duration to ~3 hours
- Optionally limit longer meetings to ~10-12 participants
Rationale
This change would enable a very specific and important…

Monero as a direct payment option
Proton should support Monero payments for all services, in particular email and VPN.
At present, Proton does not accept Monero payments directly, but rather refer to some 3rd party option.
This proposal is specifically regarding Proton accepting Monero payments directly, similar to how they currently do for Bitcoin.

Feature Request: FIDO2 only authentication on new devices
Summary
Add an account security option that enforces FIDO2 security keys as the only allowed 2FA method when a user signs in from a new or untrusted device.Problem / Current Behavior
In the current login flow, when a user has a FIDO2 key enabled the user can fallback to OTP-based 2FA rolling codes. This creates a downgrade path.Desired Behavior (What should change)
Provide a ON/OFF setting such as: “Require FIDO2 security key for new/untrusted devices.”When enabled
• FIDO2 is required when signing in from a new/untrusted device.
• OTP fallback is not offered in that same new/untrusted…16 votes -
Family Plan - Slider selectable options for greater storage and user flexibility choices
Overall Family plan issue:
I see people wanting different things for the Family Plan, some say there is too much storage (I personally do not agree with this), some say it needs more storage, others say it needs to allow for more users, while others want certain services and other don't want certain services. It seems to me we are running up against the truth that 'there is no standard family', so the standard 6 member / 500 gb per member model doesn't fit the needs of many. We need a more flexible offering to attract more people over to…

Reply from Simple Login Alias
Reply from Simple Login Alias
If an email is received via forwarding from a simple login alias, I want the ability to reply to the sender through the proton email web client without leaking my proton email address. Currently, email replies originate from my proton email. Emails received from a simple login forwarding alias should default to the simple login alias in the 'Sent From' field if I reply to the email.9 votes -
Onetime payment for lifetime Proton Unlimited
There is some things I see that I would never use in the Mail plus/proton pass plan, but I really would like to just pay once. I like the idea of having a 50-99year "unlimited/lifetime" since once I'm gone you can either forward the logins to a designated person I say and give them 90 days to download the archive, or just shred/delete everything once I leave the earth.
I despise monthly payments. Its the principal of it and the fact some cars have DLC for things already built into the car is crazy. Let me bite the bullet, and…

Sign in to the account with email aliases
I would like us to be able to choose the emails (main account email and email alias) that can be used to authenticate on the account. Currently it is possible to authenticate with all emails, principal and alias, this can induce a security risk by multiplying the connection possibilities.

Lumo Plus subscription should be completely independent from existing Proton subscription
Make it possible to subscribe to Lumo Plus independently from an ongoing Unlimited/Duo/Family subscription. As it is, I cannot subscribe to Lumo Plus for one month while keeping my ongoing 24-months subscription. The only option is to convert my 24 months subscription to a 12 months subscription and add a 12 months Lumo Plus subscription. That is not what I want, so I will not try Lumo Plus for the time being.

Passwordless login using hardware key / passkey only
Enable the user to use a FIDO2 hardware key or an iOS or Android biometric passkey as the sole login method for users that desire it. It would be for all Proton services, in my case mail, drive and pass.
I would like to eliminate using passwords altogether and solely rely on a passkey in my iOS Passwords app OR my Feitian FIDO2 hardware key with fingerprint sensor.
Requiring multiple keys would be a way to help prevent users from locking themselves out.
1password is currently in beta with passwordless login and google already supports it.

Stop sponsoring politically-oriented and far-right youtube channels or content
I noticed that a far-right youtube channel is sponsored by Proton.

Improve and expand QR code sign-in so it works from a PC
The QR code sign-in is fantastic, however, it should also allow users to sign in outside portable devices. For example, using a logged in session within the browser could improve the logging workflow experience for users with degoogled devices as the user can then only have a security key setup in their account and avoid altogether less secure forms of 2FA such as TOTP. At the moment, degoogled devices pretty much must have TOTP enabled, which is not ideal for those seeking maximum security within a degoogled ecosystem.

Lifetime Family Plan
I like the idea of the lifetime plan, but what I miss is the option to "merge" several lifetime plans. Especially on the password manager, I see this as a missing feature because we currently have a family plan to be able to have shared vaults and I would love to switch everybody to a lifetime plan but then we can no longer share a vault. I find it quite unfortunate as the lifetime plan covers all the basics and would then allow ever family member to buy add-ons as needed (e.g. more storage space), but this way it limits…

Add allowing a second email for account recovery, or possibly add multiple email accounts for recovery.
Add allowing a second email for account recovery, or possibly add multiple email accounts for recovery.
This would assure that users can do a recovery, even if the 1st/primary email is not available at any particular time.14 votes -
allow users to buy services à la carte
Allow users to by services à la carte. For example being able to purchase Drive+ and Mail+ without being forced to pay for the Unlimited bundle.
The current system incentivizes users to break the TOS since its usually cheaper to have separate accounts with an individual service attached if you don't require the majority of benefits included with Unlimited.

Proton Unlimited Lite – for everyday users
Many people are growing wary of U.S. tech giants, yet Proton is still seen as a niche solution for power users. Most of us only need a reliable email address, a modest amount of cloud storage for document backups, and strong password protection with 2FA.
I propose a Proton Unlimited Lite plan that bundles exactly those essentials:
• Proton Mail (basic inbox)
• 20–30 GB of Proton Drive for secure document backup
• Proton Pass for password management (including 2FA)
• Optional family add‑on so households can share the same subscriptionThe current “Mail Pro” tier feels over‑engineered—too many email aliases and unnecessary features—while the full…
