Introducing Docs in Proton Drive – collaborative document editing that’s actually private: https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive
With Docs you can:
- Write with privacy — Create and edit documents within Proton Drive, knowing your contents are only accessible to you and those you choose to share with.
- Share and invite anyone — Invite other users to view or edit your documents with a single click.
- Collaborate in real-time — Changes are reflected immediately, ensuring every contributor always sees the most up-to-date version.
- View cursors and presence indicators — See who else is viewing or editing the document, enhancing teamwork and communication.
- Leave comments and replies — Add comments to share feedback without editing the document. Comments are visible to all collaborators, keeping everyone in the loop.
- Import and export with ease — You can upload .docx documents, edit them, and download in various formats like .docx, .txt, .md, and HTML.
An error occurred while saving the comment Overuse commentedI absolutely need open document format support. It's always a hassle on Linux to download a file through the (still only) *web-app*, edit it with LibreOffice, save it somewhere, then upload it again and delete the local file, just to make a "remote" change.

An error occurred while saving the comment Overuse commenteda good private map app with usefull public transport data would be awesome. I mostly use apple maps, because all other alternatives that are more privacy respecitng are terrible at providing public transport data, at least in germany (and I don't even live in a small city). but maybe I want to switch to GOS or another privacy respecting mobile OS in the future, and I honestly haven't found a good alternative

An error occurred while saving the comment Overuse commentedThere is DDG, Startpage, Brave Search and for browser Firefox, Brave, LibreWolf, Mullvad Browser and of course Tor Browser.
There is no need for Proton to do this. What we need is more people switching from Chrome, Edge and so on, to already awesome alternatives. Having Proton do their own Search Engine and/or Browser will just confuse more. A better Proton Drive and parity between all platforms is what Proton needs to focus on. -
