Sieve filtering "subaddress" support
The 'subaddress' extension described in RFC 5233 (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5233.html) is a nice addition in the possibilities of mail filtering.
It would make it possible to filter mails with an specific tag (address+tag@domain.com). E.g. such a filter can be used to add a label to a mail:
if envelope :detail "to" "tag" { fileinto :create "Tag"; }
Or even better, add a label for any tag in the receiving mail.
if envelope :matches :detail "to" "*" { fileinto :create "${1}"; }

More than 25 recipients - increase the limit for sending
Please allow more than 25 recipients for Professional customers. You will allow me to pay you for >100 users, but you won't let me email my entire company. I am a growing business, I would like to grow with you. This arbitrary limit makes that very difficult.

Dynamic swipe on mobile (mark as Read/Unread - Spam/Safe)
In any email mobile app, i'm always looking for two things :
- Swipe to mark as read
- Swipe to mark as spam
I believe that depending o the current status of the email, those swipe could be dynamic. If the message if already read, then the swip would mark it as unread. if it's in the spam folder then the allocated swipe would place it in the inbox.
Right the mark as read is way too complicated33 votes -

"Reply-To" field for outgoing emails.
"Reply-To" feild is missing in ProtonMail, where we can set an reply-to email address while sending emails. This enables the recipient to reply to that "reply-to" address instead of the one from which the email was sent.

Group alias for custom domains
In order to make my custom domain useful, I need the ability to create group aliases. For example support@example.net or sales@example.net. Right now, I can add these as a new address to a single user, but I cannot automatically forward/distribute the mail sent to that address to a group of users on my domain. I could do this in an ad-hoc way if automatic forwarding was available as a feature, but that is not supported either.

Sieve 'fileinto' automatic folder creation
Sieve filters can be used on some server software (true for Dovecot, for example) to automatically create the folders specified in the 'fileinto' command if they do not already exist.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but it doesn't seem to be the case for Protonmail.
Why it is useful (in my opinion at least):
If you share sieve rules between several servers, automatic folder creation helps sharing these rules without having to create the folders on all the mail servers.
It allows dynamic folder creation based on email metadata (e.g. sender, subject, ...).
It could also be combined with the regex sieve extension, in which case it makes folder storing magical.
Cheers !

Enhanced Folder Functionality
Every other major (and many minor) email clients have hierarchical folders - organizing emails is not a discretionary function. Proton Mail should have:
Nested folders (critical)
Unlimited nesting (important) - a reasonable compromise would be 2 or 3 levels of nesting.
Drag n Drop sorting (critical)
Search options that reflect hierarchies (all folders / sub folders / this folder) (important)
Color inheritance (from the top-most folder in a group (not important)
I can't fully migrate off my other emails until this basic functionality is supported.

PGP Smartcard Support
A moderately happy plus subscriber, however i was disappointed to find i cannot use my own PGP keys that i have stored on my YubiKey. I would hope at the very least in future i will be able to use the ProtonMail Bridge and have it allow me to insert my own PGP encrypted messages with my own keys using GPG4Win without throwing me a 554 error.
Other ideas for this area:
- Support PGP smartcards
- Allow plain IMAP connections to ProtonMail so that i can use my own mail client and handle my own encryption
- Allow integration with ProtonMail and OpenKeychain on Android
- Allow users to have more control over the encryption options in ProtonMail and the ProtonMail Bridge.
I understand the way everything is designed right now for ease of use especially for new comers. However i have found the lack of flexibility disappointing as i am unable to use my existing PGP keys without a great deal of effort.
I hope that this can be improved in the future.

Import into contact group
It would be very helpful to be able to import contacts from a file directly into a new or existing contact group. Existing contacts (email as primary key?) would simply be added to the contact group.

---> POSTPONE email --->>
To POSTPONE an existing email and receiving it back to your inbox at an specified future date.
It would be good to be able to access all posponed emails by creating a new smart tag "POSTPONED"
Same feature in gmail and other services that gives your inbox ToDo capabilities.

Data retention policy per Folder
Allow specifying Data Retention Policy per Folder, such as:
1 Month delete, 3 Months delete, 6 Months delete, 1 Year delete, 3 Years delete, Keep indefinitely, Custom (N days/weeks/months/years)
Allow overriding the retention policy per message; for example, usually messages in a folder may have, say, 6 Months delete policy, but mark an individual message to Keep indefinitely.
These should be available for all Folders, including but not limited to Trash and Spam.
Default all folders to Keep indefinitely, unless otherwise specified by the user.

Hello, I use Protonmail on my Mac and my Smartphone. Under Android, I can use an Android APP. Will you provide a MACOS APP for MAC users?
It would ease the usage of Protonmail for MAC users.

Every other email I've used allows sorting by date, sender, subject. A to Z or Z to A (not the same as filtering by key word)

*Unlimited* Disposable Email Aliases
(to vote for unlimited alias, visit https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483/suggestions/45394132)
Startmail explains it perfectly. They offer unlimited disposable aliases, which expire within a given amount of time. They also offer custom aliases which can be saved and used indefinitely.
It is the disposable alias which will help protect privacy, when submiting an email to an untrusted recipient. After all, how much privacy do we have if our fixed emails become the foundation for building and selling our marketing profiles, just as is done by gmail. We limit personal activity virtual trails by disposing of aliases for casual uses. But, unlike custom aliases, which build on our identifiable original email address, disposable aliases divert from our true email identity by utilizing a sub-domain created for this specific purpose, such as: xxx@tda.protonmail.com (tda = temporary disposable alias)
You avoid abuse by limiting disposable alias creation on a daily basis. Perhaps 5 max per day.
Here is Startmail's explanation:
https://support.startmail.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/3/0/aliases
The Blur service (by Abine) also offers a "masked mail" free service. But their service is not encrypted:

Store zero-access encrypted emails as PGP/MIME
I noticed that when viewing raw emails with the “View headers” feature, they are stored as essentially PGP/Inline emails, which causes trouble when dealing with HTML emails and emails with attachments.
It would be better if, upon receipt of an unencrypted email, ProtonMail wrapped the entire message in an encrypted PGP/MIME container, which would preserve any Content-Types and allow for easier future exporting of PGP-encrypted inboxes without having to deal with the issues that come with PGP/Inline. This would also enable possible future IMAP/POP3 support of the raw, encrypted emails without the ProtonMail Bridge, leaving the decryption up to individual email programs, instead, like GPG Suite, Thunderbird + Enigmail, et cetera. This in turn could allow ProtonMail to hold only the public keys to encrypt emails, leaving decryption completely up to the local mail clients and locally stored private keys, to cater more for advanced users. ProtonMail, at this point, would just act as a gateway to encrypt all incoming email before storing it, an option that would never be available on Gmail.
