We are paying customers. Please extend this limit and/or provide better documentation and help with Sieve filters

Even on a paid plan a limit of 250 filters (as of 2024-09-22) it still restrictive.

I have committed to migrate from Gmail to Proton Mail Unlimited; however, I have run up against the active filters limit. I have eliminated every duplicate entry I can find, but that hasn't freed enough space nor has it solved this problem for future filter need. PLEASE eliminate the cap on active filters or at least double them from the current 250 imposition. Thank you.

Insane that this is an issue in 2023.
Filters in general are not good, you can very easily create duplicate filters for the same URL with no warning from ProtonMail.
Filters need to be reworked.

I was shocked to see there is a limit for something so basic, but essential, as filters and labels. Given they're unlimited on Gmail, seems crazy you'd put that behind a paywall. It's basic email organisation, which should be free to all.

This is critical ... I will need to find a workaround if I can't automatically sort my email.

This is insane to have this limit for paying customers. Honestly one of the entire reasons for Proton is privacy. For many we use aliases for everything we signup for. We would like to them be able to filter those emails. At the very least remove the limit for Visionary members.

It's strange to have arbitrary limits on Unlimited Proton plan. Please remove them.

I have put in many hours to condense my filters, but still quickly hit the 100 limit. I don't even do anything crazy, I just like to have an organized inbox.

This is a must, the current limit is pathetic given most free providers have unlimited.

I second this! It is this restriction that is preventing me to switching to Protonmail for my main email account.

Please help anyone who reads this. I mostly use the ProtonMail Windows web site, since I don't know of any app for Win 10. I can't figure out how to create a filter. I simply want to apply a label to a person whose email comes into my Inbox. Thanks.

I have hit your filter limit. Outlook has no limits, as far as I can tell. A lot of other providers are also not as limited. Please allow for more filters and for better organization of them (such as a number system that we can change the ordering rather than only drag and drop).

Currently, ProtonMail has a hard limit of 100 active email filters at once per account. For the average person, this is probably fine. But if you participate in many technology / Open Source communities with hundreds of mailing lists, this is just not enough.
ProtonMail should support more than 100 active filters for a single account. If there is a concern about data processing and increased server-side load, this could be a feature for paid plans (i.e. raised/custom limits on number of active filters at once).

I vote this up. As a subscriber to the Professional plan I would like the active filter limit removed. I'm paying yearly for this service so why am I experiencing this bottleneck?

I was shocked to run into a filter limit. I had almost 500 filters in Gmail. I don't think it's actually a dealbreaker for me, but it comes close.

I completely agree to sell luxury features such as custom domain, aliases, extra GB, etc. But with v3.4 ProtonMail has restricted the use of custom filters to 1 in free accounts. Custom filtering is more of a usability feature than a luxury feature. Custom filters save time and stress by automating this process.
So, I hope some people agree. I would like unlimited custom filters to be free, because it is a usability feature and not a luxury feature.
