It is important to me that I can use smtp with my own domain name in Proton Mail without having a business plan. The amount of e-mails processed most likely won't exceed 10 per month but these 10 mails do make a huge difference.

More to the point. All other email services provide a way to use their services. I for one like to get notifications from devices like Synolgy NAS. I have no way to add a protonmail account so I can get important system notifications. Same for my firewall. This has and will keep me from moving completely to Protonmail from Gmail. I would love to but this and the calendar are two things holding me back.
