move the "All Mail" folder far away from the Trash folder
Please (For God's sake) move the "ALL MAIL" folder far away from the TRASH folder! You have it directly underneath the Trash folder and I've accidentally emptied/deleted "all mail" twice now thinking I was emptying my Trash folder. So now I all my inbox mail is permanently gone.

I accidentally deleted ALL MY MAIL because the ALL MAIL is listed below trash and it looks like it was linked to trashed mail.
ALL MAIL should be maybe the 1st item in the list above INBOX since it's higher in the heirarchywe all ignore warnings of "this can't be undone" after we've done things once or twice - in this case, that's what happened to me

Agreed. Because "All Mail" doesn't have an icon, it looks like it's indented and part of "Trash." At least give it an icon as well.

It's really odd that it's at the bottom under Trash.

I have to agree. I didn't delete all my mail, but I find it very annoying that "All mail" is higher than MY folders. From a UX perspective I think having "All mail" so prominent is confusing and devalues folders.

Better yet, give us the option to delete the "All Mail" folder. Like others, I too have deleted all my emails in the "All Mail" folder, thinking I was in the "Trash" folder.

Several times, I wrongly click on all Mail and remove all mails because I thought that I'm on Trash. Could you move Trash option from other options

It's useless and only brings mess.

Change the position of all mail button far from trash, as when I first started using protonmail I accidentaly clicked all mail instead of trash and proceded to delete all my mail without realizing.

Yes, and do it ASAP!

I just went to my Trash folder to delete it, and without my knowledge the web page somehow dumped me into "All Mail" - while I was deleting. I did not realize that I was (somehow) outside of the Trash folder until I had deleted close to 250 emails - most of them from my Inbox and my Sent box. Those emails - some of them with new contact information from people, information from work, a couple of passwords, etc. are gone, permanently, and cannot be gotten back.
So why is there a connection between the Trash folder and "All Mail" at all? If I go to the Trash folder to empty it, >>there should be no danger of inadvertently deleting emails from OTHER folders.<< It should not only be difficult but virtually impossible to get dumped into other folders when you think you are in the Trash folder. It should be virtually impossible to inadvertently delete messages from one's Inbox or Sent box. Currently there is a danger - a rather big one, which just now removed literally pages and pages of emails I had wanted to keep. At the very least, the current pop-up that asks you "Are you sure you want to delete these? This cannot be undone," should have a bigger one that warns you that you are about to delete messages from your Inbox and / or Sent box - preferably in large red all-caps. But again, there should be no danger of being mysteriously dumped out of your Trash folder and into a different one while you're deleting anyway.
I am really, really disgusted right now - and wondering how I am going to deal with this needless data loss. Protonmail needs to fix this massive design error immediately. Using Protonmail should not be an exercise in walking on eggs.

Hide or eliminate the All Mail Folder. We use Proton Mail for privacy but any reader can see the entire history of our account

Please move the "All Mail" folder all the way to the top.
It is disturbing to the eye to see the "All Mail" folder right under the trash folder.
Being it right under the Trash, it appears as if it is a Trash subfolder. -

It happend two times that I wanted to click on the Trash folder (to delete old messages there) but hit "All Mail".
What happened as I marked all items and clicked on delete button: every email was deleted, from inbox, form send items, from archive and so on.
I do not need the "All Mail" folder, it is confusing for my workflow. It would be great to have a checkbox in the settings which will hide this folder.
Best regards, -

Make the All Mail folder optional.
I have no use for it, and it causes a problem with IMAP access: if I move a message via IMAP from protonmail to my PC, it remains in All Mail folder and counts against storage quota.
Or at least change the IMAP implementation so that a message moved off the server is also removed from All Mail.

I would like this moved too. I feel it would be better below folders and labels. I have accidentally deleted my mail twice.

Keep valid working folders separate from "Trash" logically (disconnect labels) and ergonomically/gui.
